Once Human 3.0.3: guide to the Block Adventure event and shiny mods on the permanent server
In brief
Once Human 3.0.3 arrives with the Block Adventure event (August 5-23), closeable in four days thanks to a global cap of twelve boss runs. The real revolution: a monthly Challenge on permanent servers that finally opens a reliable path to brilliant mods, without depending on limited scenarios. Add to that a groundbreaking purchase order feature and you'll understand why this version reshuffles the deck.
The 3.0.3 update for Once Human has been live since maintenance on August 5, 2026, 4:00 p.m. Pacific time, i.e. 1:00 a.m. on August 6 in France. Expect around 15.55 GB on PC launchers and 1.2 GB on mobile. All players receive 1,000 Protochromes, 100 Mitsuko Badges, an S13 Epic Secret Chest, and a Mystery Box in the event's colors.
Two deadlines really matter. The Block Adventure event closes on August 23, and its reward cap is global, not just daily: twelve boss runs in total, three per day maximum. Then the maintenance on August 24 ends the current battle pass. In between, the console version arrives on August 25.
But the real novelty isn't the pixel-art dressing. It's the arrival, on permanent servers, of a finally reliable path to radiant mods — the one the June 22, 2026 dev blog pushed back "to a later version." It takes the form of a Monthly Challenge, on a 30-day cycle. Note: the patch notes are no longer published in French, hence the few English labels kept below.
Block Adventure: four days are enough, not nineteen
The event runs from August 5 to 23 (Pacific time) and starts every half hour. You enter the event island ("Wish Island" per the official notes), take down animals run through a voxel filter to fill a progress gauge, then face the boss, the Block Wanderer. The reward: a Transformed Deviation randomly drawn from three — Zapamander "Pink Block," Nutcracker "Dark Block," and Dr. Teddy "Guardian Block" — plus armor mod crates and mod dust.
The detail that changes the whole planning is the cap. Three boss rewards per day, twelve total across the entire event. The farming is therefore wrapped up in four days of play, not nineteen. No need to block off three weeks of evenings: focus your twelve runs early, while instances fill up quickly.
Be careful not to confuse this cap with the daily login, which is a separate track and which does reward regular attendance. It hands out this same Mystery Box, the "Block Imp" weapon charm, and above all a Block Deviation Selection Chest. This chest is your safety net: twelve random draws across three Deviations don't guarantee the full collection, whereas the chest lets you choose the one you're missing. Log in every day, even once your twelve runs are used up.
Permanent servers: the Monthly Challenge finally unlocks radiant mods
Until now, getting a radiant mod was a lottery: stacking up duplicate level 17 mods and hoping for a probabilistic transformation. On July 9, update 3.0.1 added two deterministic paths — Scenario Honor scoring and mod collection progression. Except the first is tied to the end of a scenario, an event that never happens on a permanent server. Players settled there for good were therefore excluded.
3.0.3 fixes exactly that. A Monthly Challenge joins the Scenario Challenge: its tasks notably reward Mitsuko Badges, the currency of the challenge shop. And a new path opens up for mods: you complete the challenge objectives of the Scenario Challenge, then go through the Scenario Honor interface to unlock the rewards.
Three rules to keep in mind before you dive in:
- Brilliant mod rewards are account-bound and shared across all your characters. Multiplying characters doesn't multiply anything: focus your effort on a single one.
- The 30-day countdown starts at the moment of claiming, not on the first of the month. Claiming on August 6 reopens the window on September 5. Claim early rather than waiting until you've finished "everything".
- Once the deadline has passed, the reward only becomes claimable again if the unlock conditions are met once more. This isn't a passive income: you have to redo the work every cycle.
The rating thresholds to aim for on season servers
On classic scenario servers, the June 22 dev blog's chart remains the reference. Tier 1 offers a random level 17 armor mod crate, Tier 2 a brilliant armor mod crate.
| Scenario | Tier 1 | Tier 2 |
|---|---|---|
| Manibus | 350 | 500 |
| Infinite Dream | 350 | 500 |
| The Way of Winter | 160 | 300 |
| Deviation: Survive, Capture, Preserve | 333 | 999 |
| Clash of Prismverse | 240 | 300 |
| Call of Evolution | 240 | 300 |
3.0.3 also eases the most blocking case. On Clash of Prismverse, the rating was stagnating for many players; now, once 50 prismatic energies have been accumulated, each additional batch of 10 adds 1 rating point. The 300 tier becomes attainable again without aiming for first place on the server.
Don't forget the second, independent path: mod collection progression, calculated per weapon build and per armor piece. Tiers 180, 220, 260, and 300 give increasingly higher-tier crates, and tier 330 delivers a manual-selection brilliant weapon mod crate. These rewards are unique, account-bound, and never reset: it's the first brilliant mod most players should secure.
Online trading: purchase order shakes up the player-to-player economy
The Purchase feature is the most structural change in this version, and the least discussed. Until now, you could only buy what a seller had chosen to list. You can now post a purchase order: you describe the item you want, set a price, and any player who owns the matching item can fulfill the order to pocket the sum. The tax rate is the same as on the Market.

The real value lies in the filters attached to the order, visible in the official screenshots: a required bonus effect, a minimum effect value, and a floor durability set via slider. So you're not asking for "a portable fridge", but "a portable fridge with at least 95% durability and such-and-such effect tier", at the price you deem fair. This is the first time that demand, not just supply, can express a stat requirement in Once Human.

Three adjustments come along with the feature: the binding time for materials and consumables bought online is greatly reduced, the watchlist becomes shared across all trading modules, and its cap rises to 20 items.
The list of tradable items is also growing, and it hits the mark: iron ingot and alloy steel ingot, six furniture blueprints (including the competition target dummy, the indoor jukebox and the modern toilet), six collectible fish in their special variants — salmon, gar, mackerel, arowana, carp and bass — and above all animals. Ingots and animal breeding were two passive productions with no real outlet: they're becoming a steady source of Energy Links for stay-at-home players.
Everything else changing in-game
- Custom servers: the territory limit can now be set separately for the host, admins and members, on a range from 1 to 100, and the server cap rises to 5,000. A build tab adds prefab buildings (Rosetta research center, radar, farmland, hospital, restaurant) that the host can allow or restrict for members.
- Fishing: an official clarification after the July 22 patch, which had changed bait strategy without documenting it — the team apologizes for that. With a lure, the chance of getting a special fish like the electric eel is 15 to 35%, varying by water zone.
- RaidZone: a building plan containing overlapping or colliding structures can no longer be placed at all.
- First-person view: smoother transitions between rolling, reloading, item switching and shooting, and above all much less obstruction from harsh light and smoke while aiming.
- Combat: fixed the M416 "Silent Anabasis" not triggering the frost damage bonus on the first shattered crystal, and the SKS "Pathfinder" no longer stacking the effect of the Precision Strike helmet mod.
The schedule leading up to the console launch
| Date (Pacific Time) | What happens |
|---|---|
| August 5, 4 PM | 3.0.3 rollout, "Dreamtide" Lightforge chest, Block World collection in the shop |
| August 5-23 | Block Adventure event |
| August 12 | "Midsummer Fizz" shop arrival |
| August 19 | Shop arrival: summer fashion items, returning weapon skins |
| August 24, 4 PM | Maintenance: end of the current battle pass, start of the next one |
| August 25, 10 AM | PS5 and Xbox Series console launch |
Account linking: the irreversible mistake to avoid before August 25
This is the most important warning in the announcement, and it's buried at the end of the notice. If, at the time you link your accounts, both platforms already have characters on them, you'll only be able to keep one: all characters on the overwritten account are permanently deleted. If you care about both, switch to another account first or create a new one before starting the process.
Perform the link-up before the first console connection. On PC: Settings, then Account, then Link Account; on mobile, the link is at the bottom of the settings interface. Progress is then synced between PC, mobile, and console.
Where to start this weekend
On the permanent server, open the Scenario Challenge and trigger the Monthly Challenge today: the 30-day countdown starts upon claiming it, and every day you wait is a day lost on the next cycle. Follow up with your mods' collection progress to identify the build closest to tier 330. Then block out four evenings before August 23rd for your twelve runs on the Block Wanderer, and log in on the other days anyway for the Anomaly selection box.
Latest signal: the August 6th Meta Hotline confirms that the dungeon overhaul has been adopted, with development priority significantly raised, including new dungeons and a rewards revision — no date yet. Additional Anomaly fusion tanks, on the other hand, are not planned.
