Halloween: The Game - how to unlock all 3 endings

Three endings exist in Halloween: The Game, and they all occur at the end of a playthrough, once Michael has left his trail of blood behind him. Good news: whichever path you take, Michael always makes it out alive. There's no ending where he gets caught. The difficulty, however, varies quite a bit from one ending to another - and you'll need several runs to see them all.

Sewer ending

This is the simplest of the three, and honestly, it triggers almost on its own. Head to the northern part of the map: a notification will let you know about the possibility of escaping through the sewer tunnel.

  • Go west, then head back north to find the path.
  • Stay alert for the police officers stationed along the way.
  • Continue north until you reach a chain-link fence guarded by two police officers.
  • Turn left to spot the tunnel entrance.
  • Force the opening to trigger the ending cutscene: Michael escapes through the sewers.

Railroad ending

Here, things get a bit trickier. This ending plays out in the final chapter, and the golden rule is to stay hugged to the left side of the map. Bonus: this path also lets you avoid Dr. Loomis, who won't spot you if you play it discreetly enough.

  • Progress toward the northwest of the map without deviating.
  • Once you reach the objective, a prompt appears: this is the start of the countdown before the train arrives.
  • Careful, if you're late, this ending is permanently closed off for your save.
  • Once you're there in time, head toward the red lights to trigger the final cutscene.

The timer is the real trap in this ending. If you dawdle along the way or take a wrong turn, you can simply miss the window and have to restart an entire playthrough to try again.

Cornfield ending

Reversed logic compared to the Railroad ending: this time, you need to stay on the right side of the map, and right from the very start of the playthrough, not at the end of a run. According to player reports, a pop-up appears indicating the possibility of escaping through the fields.

Note: this ending has not yet been tested internally by the source editorial team, so the precise details of the trigger remain to be confirmed in practice. If you attempt it, keep in mind that timing (right from the chapter's start) seems to be key, unlike the other two endings which trigger later.

In any case, keep in mind that these three endings don't change Michael's fate. There's no alternative ending where he gets arrested or killed - the game only offers variations on how he escapes. If you're aiming for 100%, plan on three separate runs, each with a different path across the map.
