In brief

This Chapter 4 challenge asks you to strangle Annie in the car while following a precise sequence: wait for her to come back inside after her first outing, then hide in the back of the vehicle before her return. Michael automatically triggers the kill once she sits down and closes the door.

This challenge comes up in Chapter 4 in Halloween: The Game, when Michael moves on to hunting down babysitters. It's a challenge objective that unlocks customization options, but unlike other kills, this one doesn't trigger just anywhere or at any time. You have to follow a precise sequence, or you'll miss the window.

Head to the Wallace house

Once the parents have left and Annie is in charge of babysitting, go to the Wallace house. A cutscene plays: Annie is on the phone with a friend while Michael watches from outside. At the end of the scene, the objective Kill Annie appears.

Wait. Annie will go outside to do laundry in the detached laundry room at the back of the house. That's when her phone rings. She answers, and a new cutscene starts: she crosses the street with the kid she's babysitting to drop them off at friends' place, so they can watch horror movies.

The car trap

Wait for Annie to come back in front of the house. One small detail that matters: the Wallaces have a dog outside, which barks and attacks if you get too close. Plan your route carefully before moving in.

  • Spawn across the street from the house, while Annie heads straight for the car.
  • Go around the back of the house to reach the vehicle without being seen.
  • Before getting in the car, Annie goes back inside through the front door. Let her.
  • Once she's back inside, rush to the car parked in the driveway and select Hide inside before she comes back out.

Note

It doesn't matter which door you enter through: the game automatically places you in the back seat. Annie won't spot you either as she approaches or as she gets in on the driver's side.

The kill

Once she sits down, there's nothing left for you to do. As soon as the car door closes, Michael automatically triggers the kill. You then reappear outside, in the driveway, with Annie in your hands.

All that's left is to carry her up to the upper floor of the house. Chapter 4 continues with the next targets, so keep your stealth reflexes sharp for what's coming - the precise timing of this challenge gives a good taste of what's ahead.
