Editorial charter

Our sources

Playnews draws on several channels to cover video game news:

  • direct communications from publishers and studios (press releases, press events, review codes);
  • the international specialist press, in French as well as English, Japanese or other languages where useful;
  • official announcements from publishers and manufacturers on their own channels (websites, blogs, conferences, official social media).

Our method

Before publishing, we gather and cross-check every available source to verify how reliable a piece of information is. When a story rests on a single source, we say so explicitly, and we clearly distinguish between:

  • factual information (dates, prices, features, sales);
  • analysis and opinion (reviews, previews, editorials), which commit the author who signs the article.

Independence

No publisher, studio or advertiser has any say over the content published on Playnews. When an article contains affiliate links or an editorial partnership, this is clearly disclosed in the body of the article.

Corrections

Spotted a factual error? We correct the article and, where the original information was substantially inaccurate, we note the correction explicitly. To report an error, write to us at contact@playnews.gg.
