Once Human 3.0.4: the 35 new trophies ignore everything you've already done — and Starry Studio advises dismantling your Robot Fish
In brief
Once Human's 3.0.4 update adds 35 brand-new trophies that completely ignore your two years of progress — everyone starts from scratch. Starry Studio is even recommending that you dismantle your old Robot Fish and drop the Sparkling Pumpkin Soup from your buff arsenal.
Since the maintenance on August 24, 4:00 PM Pacific Time — 1:00 AM on the 25th Central European Summer Time —, Once Human now has 35 more achievement trophies. It's one of the most visible additions in update 3.0.4. Beneath the announcement, one sentence decides what your two years of playtime are really worth.
A second line, elsewhere in the document, condemns an item you may already own — and the studio itself recommends destroying it.
A note on sourcing. Starry Studio stopped publishing French-language releases in 2025, so this guide is built directly on the English patch notes for 3.0.4. All item, currency and system names below are the publisher's own English labels.
The 35 trophies don't look back
The key passage is short, and explicit: "the achievement system will begin recording and syncing progress after this maintenance update. Historical data already completed will not be automatically loaded or applied."
In plain terms: a veteran who has completed every scenario in the game and an account created last Tuesday start, as far as these 35 trophies go, from the same line. Nothing you did before August 24 counts.
| What the announcement says | What it means |
|---|---|
| 35 trophies added, "challenging and fun" | An entirely new list to work through |
| Platforms: Xbox, PlayStation, Steam, Google Play | Four ecosystems named — iOS is not on the list |
| Recording starts from the maintenance onward | No retroactive catch-up |
| "Whether you're new or a veteran" | The studio owns the leveling of the playing field |
What to do about it. If a trophy is tied to an action you'd do anyway — finishing a scenario, reaching a milestone, crafting a piece of gear —, don't do it before opening the list. A goal completed off the clock is a goal you'll have to redo. So the first move upon logging in is to open the achievements page before resuming your usual routine.

Robot Fish: the studio is telling you to scrap it
In the item adjustments section, two lines are enough to render an item unusable.
The new rule: Robot Fish now consumes durability, at a rate of 10% per minute. Ten minutes in the water, and it's out of service.
The catch: the patch notes specify that copies already obtained have no durability and "will quickly become damaged upon entering water." In other words, whatever stock you already have on hand is unusable as it stands.
The studio's recommendation: scrap them for materials to avoid a straight-up loss. It's rare enough to be worth pointing out — a publisher advising you to destroy an item rather than use it.
The compensation: 3 Robot Fish are sent to all players after the update. These ones do have durability.
The order of operations matters: dismantle the old ones before picking up the new ones, or you risk not being able to tell which is which in your inventory.
The Sparkling Pumpkin Soup switches sides — and the studio apologizes
Same section, a textbook case of an openly acknowledged retroactive fix.
The game's general rule is that only dishes grant combat stat bonuses — with two exceptions, Whimsy Drink and Whimsical Drink. The Sparkling Pumpkin Soup, however, was granting a drink bonus despite being classified as a dish.
As of 3.0.4, it restores energy, in line with what dishes are supposed to do. The patch notes come with an explicit apology for the earlier mistake.
If this soup was part of your buff rotation before a raid, you'll need to replace it: it no longer provides what you were cooking it for.
A September 1 deadline you shouldn't miss
The permanent server section contains a dated reminder that's far from trivial, coming from an adjustment made on August 11:
A new task appears on all permanent servers, "obtain a total of 30,000 Starchroms"; the task "spend a total of 30,000 Starchroms" will close at the reset at 6:00 AM server time on September 1, 2026.
In other words, the old task — spend — is on its way out, and the new one — obtain — is taking over. If you'd started the first one without finishing it, you have a few days left to spend the amount.
Two other monthly task changes on the permanent server:
- Manibus: the monthly challenge now requires completing The Prime War on Pro difficulty five times in total, and achieving a score above 2,000 in a single run.
- New task: obtain 5,000 Mod Dust in total, which rewards 100 Mitsuko's Marks.
Two events closed on August 24
Worth checking as soon as you log in, since the closure is already in effect:
- The Beginner Growth event has ended since the August 24 update, and its exchange shop closed at the same time. Any unspent currency there is lost.
- The Block Adventure event has ended as well.
On the flip side, the post-maintenance login rewards give everyone 1,000 Starchrom, 100 Mitsuko's Mark, 1 Stardust Secret Crate: S14 (epic), and 30 Colorful Badge.
Two weapons rebalanced, no figures published
The studio announced adjustments to the QBJ97 - Fiery Trees and Silver Flowers and the Ghost Link Set, and detailed three identified issues:
- The trigger chances of the Unstable Bomber and the QBJ97's missiles are too low, which penalizes short bursts, target switching, and damage consistency.
- The Ghost Link Set's 3-piece effect has trigger conditions that are too demanding.
- The QBJ97's overall recoil is too high.
A word of caution is in order here: the patch notes don't publish any numerical values and explicitly refer to the values observed in-game after deployment. Any tier list published in the coming days will therefore be based on player-collected data, not an official document.
The list of five actions to take upon logging in
- Open the 35-trophy page before anything else — nothing prior to August 24 counts.
- Dismantle your old Robot Fish before releasing them back into the water, then collect the three new ones.
- Remove Sparkling Pumpkin Soup from your combat buff rotation.
- Spend your Starchroms before September 1, 6:00 AM server time, if the "spend" task is still sitting on your list.
- Check that you didn't have any dormant currency in the Beginner Growth exchange shop: it has closed.

- The Sparkling Pumpkin Soup is changing category and no longer grants a drink bonus: it now restores energy like a regular dish.
- The old "spend 30,000 Protochromes" task closes on September 1st at 6:00 AM — you have a few days left to burn through your stock.
- Two events have closed for good: Beginner Growth and Block Adventure, along with their respective exchange shops.
