WoW Midnight: Void Arrow raid guide for July 2026
In brief
In July 2026, The Void Arrow remains the main WoW Midnight raid, with six bosses spread across five difficulties and a maximum item level of 282 in Mythic. This guide breaks down each boss, their key mechanics, tank swaps, DPS checks, and the optimal strategy for progressing efficiently before Season 2's raid arrives.
Four months after the release of World of Warcraft: Midnight, the Season 1 raid remains the PvE community's great playground. The Voidspire opened its doors on March 18, 2026, with Mythic mode unlocked as of March 25. In July 2026, the void-forged tower remains the active raid and thus the only high-level loot race before the announced arrival of the Season 2 raid. Six bosses, five difficulties, a narrative thread centered on Alleria Windrunner: here is the up-to-date guide to clear the tier properly.

The Voidspire isn't just a raid: it's a conduit torn open between Azeroth and the Void, and each floor brings you closer to the moment when Alleria must choose her side.
Access, difficulties, and prerequisites
The entrance to the Voidspire is located in the Voidstorm zone, accessible via the Midnight version of the Silvermoon portal (coord. 35,30 - 66,12), then via a second portal from the Confines (coord. 45,14 - 64,89). The raid offers five difficulty tiers: Story Mode, Raid Finder, Normal, Heroic, and Mythic (locked to 20 players). Item levels scale as follows:
- Raid Finder: 233 to 243
- Normal: 246 to 256
- Heroic: 259 to 269
- Mythic: 272 to 282
Aim for a minimum ilvl of 250 to feel comfortable in Heroic and 265 to tackle Mythic with confidence. Blizzard has significantly reduced the need for third-party add-ons: timers and teleports are now flagged in-game, making the learning curve more accessible than it was back in Dragonflight.
Imperator Averzian, master of the Void tic-tac-toe
The first boss sets the tone. The room is divided into nine zones forming a tic-tac-toe grid, and Imperator Averzian progressively attempts to corrupt them. If he lines up three squares, he triggers March of the Infinite, a raid-wide one-shot. The core mechanic therefore consists of preventing any alignment by positioning the raid on the targeted squares to purify them.
- Tank swap: on every application of Weight of the Infinite (generally every 25 seconds).
- DPS check: light on Normal, but tight on Mythic during the Echoes of Legrande add phase.
- Healer cooldowns: anticipate the waves of Cosmic Distortion that hit the entire raid every 45 seconds.
It's an excellent training boss to check whether your raid can move in a coordinated way. On Mythic, the corrupted squares stay active longer, forcing you to juggle two simultaneous fronts.
Voracius, the Prophet of the Void
Second floor, second school. Voracius is a single-target discipline fight: few forced movements, but immediate punishment for any positioning mistake. The Growing Whisper bar rises continuously and, once it reaches 100, triggers a phase in which the entire raid suffers a stacking shadow DoT.
- Tank swap: at 3 stacks of Prophet's Gaze.
- DPS check: moderate. Priority on Voracius's mysteries (small adds) which grant a damage buff if they die within the purple zone.
- Healer cooldowns: chain one raid cooldown per Litany of the Void phase.
This is the ideal fight to nail down your rotations: those who manage their DPS here will hold up against the following bosses. On Heroic and above, a new ability Prophetic Fracture forces a position swap every 20 seconds.
Fallen King Salhadaar, Lord of Orbs
The Fallen King Salhadaar fight is built on a simple principle: prevent the Void orbs summoned by Void Convergence from reaching the boss. Each absorbed orb grants him a stack that increases his damage and eventually triggers the burst window Entropic Unraveling.
- Tank swap: after each Broken Oath (roughly every 30 seconds).
- DPS check: critical on Mythic during the Entropic Unraveling window.
- Healer cooldowns: big raid cooldown when several orbs reach the boss simultaneously.
Salhadaar is also the first boss of the tier to drop a class tier set token. This is your first real gearing milestone.
Vaelgor and Ezzorak, the Dragon Brothers
A two-target fight: Vaelgor (shadow dragon) and Ezzorak (light dragon) must die within ten seconds of each other or the fight will enrage. The raid splits into two groups that rotate regularly to balance damage between the brothers.
- Tank swap: within-group, on every Twin Bite (10 seconds).
- DPS check: very tight. The health gap between the two dragons must stay under 5% on Mythic.
- Healer cooldowns: alternate one cooldown per Dual Roar phase (every 40 seconds).
This is the boss where tank/raid leader communication becomes mandatory: if poorly synced, killing one dragon before the other triggers a fresh dragon recall at 100% health.
Lightblinded Vanguard, the Paladin Council
The Lightblinded Vanguard is a council fight bringing together three paladins corrupted by Void Light: a Retribution, a Protection, and a Holy paladin. The three share a health bar, but each brings their own mechanics: shockwaves from the Protection paladin, hammers of vengeance from the Retribution paladin, and invulnerable healing bubbles from the Holy paladin.
- Tank swap: mandatory for the Protection paladin (Blazing Shield stacks) and during the Retribution paladin's shockwaves.
- DPS check: the real challenge is target-switching. Prioritize the Holy paladin as soon as they begin channeling Blinding Redemption.
- Healer cooldowns: save a raid cooldown for each cast of Verdict of the Heavens.
This fight rewards balanced compositions with at least two reliable interrupts. Tier set tokens also drop here, making it a priority farm boss.
Crown of the Cosmos, the Confrontation with Alleria
The final boss, Crown of the Cosmos, pits the raid against Alleria Windrunner, corrupted by the Void. It's a multi-phase encounter combining add control, sustained movement, and a burn phase. Alleria alternates between three forms: Void archer, Ethereal summoner, and final cosmic form.
- Tank swap: on every form change of Alleria's, plus Mark of Xal'atath stacks.
- DPS check: high. The transition into the cosmic phase requires clearing a wave of adds in under 15 seconds.
- Healer cooldowns: focus cooldowns on phase 3, where incoming raid damage is massive and continuous.
The prestige reward, the Eternal Songvoid Chain, is a unique neck item that applies shadow damage on auto-attacks. It's also the only boss that doesn't drop a tier token, but it grants cosmetic weapons and Frontrunner manor rewards.
Recommended kill order and standout loot
After four months of the season, the community has settled on a progression order that alternates difficulty and rewards:
- Imperator Averzian: warm-up, lowest ilvl.
- Vorasius: first boss dropping a tier token.
- Fallen King Salhadaar: second token, skill checkpoint.
- Lightblinded Vanguard: tier token and BiS ring for most hybrid classes.
- Vaelgor and Ezzorak: burst trinket highly prized by melee DPS.
- Crown of the Cosmos: maximum ilvl and unique cosmetics.
Bosses 2 through 5 share the tier token pool (hands, shoulders, legs, helm). In short: farm Vorasius, Salhadaar, and the Vanguard first to complete your 4-set as quickly as possible. Chest pieces drop from the weekly Great Vault and from the mini-raid Dreamrift, which shouldn't be overlooked.
A disciplined player who clears the Void's Arrow + Dreamrift + March on Quel'Danas every week finishes their 4-set in three weeks, versus five for a player who only runs the Arrow.
Going further
The Void's Arrow is the centerpiece of Season 1, but Midnight's raid ecosystem includes two other complementary instances:
- Dreamrift: single-boss (Chimaerus, the Undreamed) that drops a chest tier token.
- March on Quel'Danas: two bosses (Belo'ren, Child of Al'ar and Midnight's Fall) open since March 31, 2026, with a focus on the reclamation of Quel'Danas.
To dig deeper into each fight, the French-speaking community recommends the detailed guides from JudgeHype (boss by boss, in French), Icy Veins' pages for cheat sheets, and of course Wowhead FR for loot lists. Mamytwink's shows offer very useful weekly debriefs for tracking the evolution of the meta.
As Season 2 approaches—Blizzard has not yet announced the switchover date, but it should land at the end of summer 2026—now is the ideal time to complete your 4-set and stock up on cosmetic transmog before the season reset. The Void's Arrow will go down in history as the opening raid that marked Alleria Windrunner's return to the forefront of *World of Warcraft*'s story, alongside Anduin and Xal'atath. Whether you're racing for the world first kill or simply gearing up your main to face the next chapter of the story, the Void's tower is the mandatory stop of this summer 2026 on Azeroth. Good luck, and above all, never let Averzian line up three tiles.

Key takeaways
- Imperator Averzian (boss 1) tests your basic coordination with his tic-tac-toe grid to purify, ideal for checking that the raid moves as a single unit.
- Bosses 2 through 5 share the gear token pool: farm Vorasius, Salhadaar, and the Vanguard as priorities to complete your 4-set in three weeks.
- Vaelgor and Ezzorak impose a very tight DPS check (HP gap < 5% on Mythic) and require flawless tank/leader communication.
- Crown of the Cosmos, the final encounter against corrupted Alleria, concentrates the real raid damage in phase 3: all healer cooldowns need to converge there.
- Round out your progression with Dreamsurge Rift (chest token) and March on Quel'Danas to complete your gear three weeks earlier than by farming only The Void Arrow.
