Black Ops 7 Zombies Astra Malorum: How to Reach Mars
In brief
Discover the complete path to reach Mars in Black Ops 7 Zombies on the Astra Malorum map. This guide details every step, from acquiring the LGM-1 to unlocking the teleportation portal, including planetary alignment and defending against O.S.C.A.R.
In Black Ops 7 Zombies, the Astra Malorum map offers an exciting cosmic adventure to the red planet. Teleportation is the only way to reach Mars, here is a precise guide to understanding how to unlock this passage toward the red planet.

Preparation or prerequisites for the Martian crossing
To begin your journey to Mars, you need to acquire the LGM-1 special weapon as indicated in this guide.
Once you have the weapon in hand, wait for O.S.C.A.R. to reappear; it will lead you to a specific location. Avoid its beam, which can hit you. Once again, follow it, and you will hear a Thurston recording mentioning three planets in a certain order.
Note
You will therefore need to write down these planets and especially their order; for example, if you hear Venus, Saturn and Uranus, you will need to convert this into a numeric code based on the planets' position relative to the Sun. So, in this example, the code to enter is 267 (Venus being the 2nd planet, Saturn the 6th and Uranus the 7th).

Activating the teleportation portal
With your code in hand, head to the Observatory Dome room; near the Pack-A-Punch, a terminal where you can enter your combination will then activate an elevator that will descend in front of the Pack-A-Punch with a corpse. Grab the key from the body.
Then head to Museum Infinitum to retrieve a saw under glass. Break the display case to grab it, then head to the south room of Machina Astralis; you will find a body in a cryogenic capsule there. Approach the head and interact to extract the brain (the saw is required for this operation).

Carry it to the Luminarium, where another brain sits on a table; replace it with Thurston's and you will then need to defend the station for 60 seconds. Once this time is up, retrieve the brain and return to Machina Astralis. In the center of the building, a strange set of machines is already visible on the ground floor.
Place the brain in the machine next to the teleporter. It will activate on its own, showing Thurston's reading list, introducing several books. Take note of these, as the titles differ from one game to another.

Planetary alignment + opening the portal
Back in the Observatory hall, interact with the telescope as you did previously to obtain the LGM-1. This time, target Mars instead of the Sun. If the values shown turn out to be accurate, Thurston will have no doubt that these are indeed Mars's coordinates.
Your next mission will take you to the Archives, where three statues stand, each surrounded by bookshelves. You'll need to search them and interact with the busts that match them. In other words, when "The Musica Universalis" appears in your list and occupies a specific bookshelf, interact with its bust. Repeat this process for each of the books.
Note
A quick note: only approach the busts at the start of a new wave. Act quickly, or wait for the next wave.
Once the operation is complete, take the hidden ladder in the corner of the Archives to retrieve the Neptune model, then go place it on the large planetarium located at the very top of Machina. You will also need to find three notes scattered across the map. The first is often on the second floor of the large circular room, the second is found in the trap room of the Luminarium, and the last is on a table in the Archives. These notes indicate directions and planets you will need later.
Go back up to the top of the planetarium and only fire on the three indicated planets until they are in the correct position. You can find their position by looking underneath the large Sun.

Finally, go to the strange machine on the ground floor of Machina and press the confirmation button. If the planets are correctly aligned, the portal will activate. However, it will take some time for it to fully charge, and O.S.C.A.R. along with other zombies will attack you during this time. Focus on destroying O.S.C.A.R.'s flying discs first, as they could reset the portal's progress.

Wait for the portal to fully activate, and you will be teleported to Mars, the starting location of the final step of Astra Malorum's main easter egg. This is also the step that allows you to complete the musical easter egg and unlock an Avenged Sevenfold track.

Key takeaways
- Note the three planets mentioned by Thurston and convert them into a numeric code based on their position relative to the Sun.
- Extract Thurston's brain from a cryogenic pod and place it in the Machina Astralis machine to get the list of books.
- Find and match Thurston's three books with the corresponding busts located at the Archives.
- Collect the Neptune model as well as the three notes scattered across the map to learn the alignment coordinates.
- Align the three planets on the large planetarium and confirm the portal activation while defending against O.S.C.A.R.
