CoD Black Ops 7 Zombies Exfiltration: Detailed Guide
In brief
Black Ops 7's Zombies mode features exfiltration, a mechanic that lets players cleanly escape without dying. This guide details how to exfiltrate from the "Ashes of the Damned" level by locating the phone booths at the three available escape points every five rounds starting from round 11, before facing a reinforced Zursa to access the victory portal.
The Zombies mode in Black Ops 7 continues to promote exfiltration, a mechanic that players can use to escape the nightmare without dying or suddenly abandoning the match. In this guide, we'll look at how to cleanly exfiltrate from the "Ashes of the Damned" level.
"These exfiltration points are only active for a few minutes"

How to exfiltrate from the Ashes of the Damned level
The map has three phone booths, essential for exfiltrating a player. An important point, this escape option is only available every five rounds, starting from round 11. On rounds 11, 16 and 21, you'll receive a message letting you know it's possible to exfiltrate. The three locations where these lifesaving phone booths are found are:
- Janus Towers Plaza
- The Blackwater Lodge
- Ashwood

Once you've found an active phone booth, it's essential to act quickly! These exfiltration points are only active for a few minutes and will become inaccessible if you ignore them or if the round changes. After interacting with the booth, a vote will be held among the players present. If exfiltration is accepted, you'll face a major obstacle, killing a high-value target located near the exfiltration portal.
This target is none other than a reinforced version of Zursa, the zombie bear that serves as an elite enemy in Ashes of the Damned. To defeat it, don't forget to arm yourself with upgraded weapons, Perks, solid armor, and killstreaks if possible. You have exactly two minutes to kill it, otherwise it's death, and the end of the match.
If you manage to take it down, you'll be able to interact with the phone booth again to reach the portal leading to the Safe Zone, which brings up the "Exfiltration Successful" end screen.

The benefits of Exfiltration in Black Ops 7 Zombies
Exfiltration is an evolution of the Zombies mode's gameplay, a mode that had until now been necessarily a "losing" one, toward the possibility of "winning" by getting out on your own terms. Sure, you won't return to the match after exfiltrating, but you'll be glad you weren't devoured by the undead.
By using this escape mechanic, you'll benefit from the XP reward, even if it's not huge.
The best part about exfiltration in Black Ops 7 Zombies is that teams are free to choose, since nothing indicates that all players need to exfiltrate at the same time...
