The Adventures of Elliot: the 19 weapons of the "Weapons Collector" achievement — where to find them and how to get them
In brief
The Adventures of Elliot hides 19 collectible weapons needed to unlock the "Weapon Collector" trophy, but only 27.8% of players earn it. This guide lists every weapon by type and era, their exact locations, the conditions for obtaining them, and settles the seven points where sources disagree — shop weapon prices, dungeon floors, the era of the Ultimate Sword.
On Steam, the achievement “Weapon Collector” — “Obtain all weapons.” — is held by only 27.8% of owners of The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales. Its little brother “Weapon Master” — “Obtain weapons from all categories.” — tops out at 61.5%. The gap says it all: most players get their hands on all six categories, then give up before reaching the 19 weapons.
Rest assured right away: the achievement is not missable. PSTHC lists only four missable trophies — the three endings and “Accessory Collector” — and weapons aren't among them. And if a superior weapon of the same type replaces the old one, the acquisition is still counted: nothing is lost.
The arsenal is simple to count: 6 types × 3 tiers (1, 2, and 3 stars), plus the bombs. Counting trap: shields don't count — neither the Aelfric's Shield nor the Moonmirror.
The table of 19 weapons: era, location, and how to obtain them
| Weapon | Tier | Era | Where and how to get it |
|---|---|---|---|
| longsword | ★ | Age of the Aegis | Starting weapon, impossible to miss. |
| Twilight Sword | ★★ | Age of Renewal | Gate Ruins, 1st basement, northeast of the Fanoncques signpost: the mirror and beam puzzles open the central gate. |
| Ultimate Sword (Leytstaf) | ★★★ | disputed (see below) | Aquatic Ruins, 2nd basement. Requires the Diving Manual, found on-site: flood the room, swim to the blue door, unlock it with the key. End of main quest. |
| Quickwood Spear | ★ | Age of the Aegis | Given by Euygene at the end of quest #1 (“A Spear with a Past”), after the Mist Ruins. Cannot be missed. |
| Silver Spear | ★★ | Age of Magic | Large red chest in the Western Caves. Key to be obtained from Carter. |
| Winnehild | ★★★ | Age of Magic | Waterfall Cave, at the top. Diving required, then boss Frauki Don on the highest level. |
| Heavy Hammer | ★ | unspecified | Southern Caves, desert entrance: defeat The Ratmobile, then passage to the west. Cannot be missed. |
| Black-Iron | ★★ | Age of Magic | Gate Ruins, 2nd basement — the other one, at the southern edge of Grenatran, via the Western Caves. Ball puzzle with the Vortex. |
| Divine Judgment | ★★★ | Age of Magic | Gear Ruins, on the path to the true ending: jump the three laser gears, pressure plate to the northwest, chest to the northeast. |
| Chain Sickle | ★ | Age of the Aegis | Rainbow Lotus, 1st basement: blue door on the north edge. |
| Orochi | ★★ | Age of Magic | Secret Cavern, north edge of Whitedale: follow the cliffs east, climb the ladder, blow up the entrance. Second wall beyond a hole: charged bomb or Aggrandize magilith. |
| Ouroboros | ★★★ | Age of Awakening | Blazing Ruins, 3rd basement: boss Elpand Generalissimo, then door to the west. |
| Short Bow | ★ | Age of the Aegis | Quest #2 for Leyka (“A Good Old Bow”), early in the game. Cannot be missed. |
| Catalpa Bow | ★★ | Age of Renewal | Eastern Caves. Obtain the Moon Psyche, see Heurich for the key, bomb the wall on the east edge, cross a gap with the Flutterer's Cap or Teleport. |
| Devil's Viscera | ★★★ | Age of Magic | Sylvan Ruins: the chest follows the boss Bridd Brontomancer. |
| Counterturn | ★ | Age of the Aegis | Kingdom of Huther shop, the game's first optional weapon. Price disputed. |
| Retaliation | ★★ | Age of Magic | Weyzn's shop. Price disputed. |
| Death Spiral | ★★★ | Age of Awakening | Dragon's Pillar, 1st basement, during the quest “Search for the Child at the Dragon's Pillar”: blue key, staircase, then Mimicry for two plates at once. |
| bombs | — | Age of Renewal | Reward from quest #5 (“Blow Your Troubles Away”). Mandatory. |
Five weapons arrive on their own, and the bombs unlock two more
The longsword, the Quickwood Spear, the Short Bow, the Heavy Hammer, and the bombs are picked up while playing: GamerGuides points out that side quests No. 1 and No. 2 are actually mandatory. The bombs also open Orochi's Secret Cave and the wall of the Eastern Caves at the Catalpa Bow, while also advancing the “Master Bomber” achievement (16.5%).
The needles do the tracking for you, starting with the Magic Compass
The game comes with its own completion tool. None of these needles received an English localized name of their own beyond their in-game English labels, so they are cited here in English, as you will see them in-game.
- Magic Compass — essential: it alone allows the others to be used. Given by Fausta and Marnie upon arriving in the Age of Magic.
- Weapon Needle — reveals 1-star weapons. Given by Fausta after the repair of the Moon Psyche.
- Better-Weapon Needle — 2-star weapons. Side quest “Calotesia's History Lesson”, in Littlehope Village, Age of Renewal.
- Best-Weapon Needle — 3-star weapons. Blue chest in the North Tower, 2nd basement level, Age of the Aegis.
- Magic Needle — points to Mana Altars, given by Fausta along with the Weapon Needle.
- Cat Needle — locates cats, given by the “cat-loving traveler” after 5 cats.
- Tracing Needle — used for story purposes, red chest at Mount Phoenix.
The repair of the Moon Psyche corresponds to the “The Shield Reborn” achievement (54.3%), obtained automatically by following the story. A word about Mount Phoenix, whose point of no return raises concerns: no weapon is associated with it in the sources consulted — PSTHC only places notebooks there, while Game8 places the Tracing Needle.
Ultimate Sword and Divine Judgment: the last two are waiting until the end of the game
The Ultimate Sword is far more than a mere collection entry: it breaks through blue barriers and is required for the intermediate ending, with the “Serenity and the Princess” trophy requiring you to fully charge its attack. Divine Judgment requires having found the Sage Cats from the Age of Awakening and the Age of Renewal; GamerGuides describes it as “very likely the last ultimate weapon you'll find.”
Seven points on which the guides disagree
PSTHC, GamerGuides, Game8, TheGamer, and GameRant diverge on seven details that no official source settles. Here they are, as is.
| Disputed point | Versions in circulation | What to make of it |
|---|---|---|
| Era of the Ultimate Sword | PSTHC: Age of Magic — GamerGuides and Game8: Age of Renewal — TheGamer: Age of Awakening | Three sources, three answers. They all agree, however, on the location, the Aquatic Ruins: trust the map, not the stated era. |
| Price of the Counter-Turn | GamerGuides: 50 tuls — Game8 and TheGamer: 100 tuls — PSTHC: no price given | Double the amount: budget for the higher figure. |
| Price of the Retaliation | GamerGuides: 275 tuls — Game8: 550 tuls — PSTHC: no price given | Same gap: show up at Weyzn's with the higher sum. |
| Floor of the Divine Judgment | PSTHC: 1st floor — GamerGuides and Game8: Second Level | Off by one, probably the ground floor / ground floor convention — unconfirmed. |
| Floor of the Devil's Viscera | PSTHC: 3rd floor — GamerGuides and Game8: Fourth Level | Same offset, same unverified explanation. On the basement levels, both guides agree perfectly. |
| Do bombs count? | PSTHC: excluded, 18 weapons listed — Game8 and GamerGuides: included, 19 listed | A theoretical question: bombs are mandatory, you will get them. |
| NPC for the Better-Weapon Needle | Game8 and GameRant: Calotesia — other sites: "Kylostasia" | We're going with Calotesia, the only form given by two credible sources. |
One last caveat: the attack values for the 19 weapons are only published by Game8, without cross-referencing, and some appear inconsistent from one type to another. We won't be reproducing them: the 1 / 2 / 3-star hierarchy is enough to decide what to equip.
The route order to complete the collection
Buy the Counter-Turn as soon as you pass through the kingdom of Huther. In the Age of Magic, pick up the Magic Compass, let the story repair the Moon Psyche for the Weapon Needle, then retrieve the Better-Weapon Needle in Faiblespoir and the Best-Weapon Needle at the North Tower. The rest becomes mechanical: the needles display the missing weapons tier by tier, and all that's left is to open the blue doors, blow up the walls, and take down the bosses, before finishing with the Ultimate Sword and the Divine Judgment. A corollary noted by PSTHC: you'll only be able to craft magiliths for the weapons you actually have in your possession — completing the arsenal also means opening up the entire crafting workshop.

Key takeaways
- The Ultimate Sword and Divine Judgment arrive at the very end of the game: it's impossible to miss them before the true ending if you play through the full story.
- Five weapons drop on their own just by playing (Longsword, Green Wood Spear, Short Bow, Heavy Hammer, bombs) — zero risk of missing them.
- The needles (Weapon Needle, Better-Weapon Needle, Best-Weapon Needle) do all the tracking work for you: activate them and follow the markers.
- Bombs unlock two additional weapons (Orochi and Catalpa Bow) and two trophies: they're mandatory, so you won't miss them.
- Guides disagree on three shop prices and two floor locations — budget generously for purchases, and trust the map more than the descriptions.
