In brief

Columbina returns in Phase 2 of version 6.7 (July 21 - August 11, 2026) with a double rerun including the reworked Raiden Shogun. This 5★ Hydro catalyst user dominates lunar reactions but demands massive investment in artifacts and materials — the real debate: should you actually pull her or wait for 6.8?

A little bomb to end Luna VIII summer: Phase 2 of the 6.7 update for Genshin Impact kicks off on July 21, 2026, and brings a double rerun that's going to hurt Primogem stockpiles. On one side, Columbina, the third Fatui Harbinger, returns for the very first time since her debut earlier in the year. On the other, the Raiden Shogun resurfaces with a new role: she's become an essential piece for any Superconduct team built around Sandrone, the Cryo 5★ who arrived in Phase 1. Should you pull, save for 6.8, or skip entirely? Here's the full verdict, kit breakdown, weapon comparisons, and optimized teams to back it up.

What Phase 2 actually changes

Phase 2 of 6.7 runs from July 21 to August 11, 2026, exactly three weeks. Two limited banners run in parallel: "Somnias a Luna" for Columbina and "Reign of Serenity" for the Raiden Shogun. On the shared 4★ side, we find Ororon (Electro), Sethos (Electro), and Jahoda (Anemo) — an interesting pool for those building teams around the new Aggravate reaction introduced in 6.7 (Astral Conduction). The weapon banner features Columbina's signature catalyst and the Raiden Shogun's Engulfing Lightning, with a recent 4★ catalyst on rate-up boasting convincing sub-DPS stats.

Quick reminder: Original Resin refills at midnight, so if you're aiming for this banner, plan your Domain runs now to avoid getting caught off guard on artifacts and ascension materials. Three weeks goes by fast.

The third Fatui Harbinger, Columbina is a 5★ Hydro catalyst user whose entire kit revolves around lunar reactions — that family of elemental reactions exclusive to the Nod-Krai region. Her main role: converting standard reactions into lunar variants (Astral Conduction for Electro, Lunar-Bloom for Dendro, Lunar-Charged for Cryo/Geo) and then massively buffing them through her ultimate field. She scales off max HP, which places her in the same design family as Neuvillette, Furina, or Sigewinne when it comes to builds.

In practice, Columbina fulfills three functions within the same unit: she applies off-field Hydro continuously, she amplifies all of the team's lunar reaction damage, and she offers a Dendro charged attack (via her "Emerald Dew" gauges) to set up Lunar-Blooms. She's a hybrid sub-DPS/support piece that doesn't easily replace Xilonen or Furina, but complements them.

Detailed kit: normal attack, skill, ultimate

Here's the kit as it currently runs in-game, along with the mechanics you need to understand to build Columbina correctly.

Normal Attack — Dew Cascade

Three Hydro catalyst hits, nothing exceptional on paper. The subtlety: once an "Emerald Dew" gauge is accumulated (automatically generated by her skill and ultimate), the charged attack transforms into three AoE Dendro instances, without consuming stamina. This is what allows Columbina to trigger Lunar-Bloom herself if she's paired with a secondary Hydro applicator on the team.

Elemental Skill — Eternal Tide

A short press deals AoE Hydro damage and summons a Gravitational Ripple. This entity automatically follows the active character, applies a Hydro tick every few seconds, and builds up a Gravity counter that fills each time a lunar reaction is triggered. Once full, the counter releases a discharge whose elemental type matches the majority lunar reaction during the window. In other words: the more reactions you cycle through, the harder the final discharge hits. 15-second cooldown, 60 energy cost on the ultimate.

Ultimate — Melancholy Under the Moon

Columbina brings down a Lunar Domain around herself, a zone several meters wide that persists for 15 seconds. As long as the active party member stays inside, all of the team's lunar reaction damage is amplified (the amount depends on talent level and the active character's Moonsign). This is the pivot of the kit: without this domain, Columbina goes back to being a standard off-field piece.

Passive talents

  • Bait of Madness: each trigger of the Gravitational Ripple grants 5% cumulative Crit Rate up to three stacks, for 15% max — not negligible for an HP-scaling support.
  • Law of the New Moon: lunar reactions triggered within the Lunar Domain deal additional damage.
  • Blessing of the Moonsign: the key function. Electro-Charged, Bloom, and Hydro-Crystallize reactions automatically convert into their lunar equivalents when Columbina is in the party. Without this passive, the whole kit falls apart.
  • Lunar Vigil (utility): revives a fallen ally in the Nod-Krai region, 100-second cooldown. Handy for exploration.

Ascension: materials to farm right now

Plan ahead before the banner arrives. Here are the totals to bring Columbina to level 90:

  • Hydro Gems (Varunada Lazurite): 1 fragment / 9 shards / 9 chunks / 6 gemstones — 46 pieces in total, farmable from the Hydro Hypostasis, the aquatic Rifthound, and the Oceanid.
  • Hydro slime farming: 168 items (18 condensates + 30 secretions + 36 concentrates). Plan for several days of clearing around Fontaine's lake.
  • Radiant Elk Antler: 46 units, weekly drop from the boss "Lost Valley's Sun Deer" — the weekly limit will be the real bottleneck, so defeat it every week starting today.
  • Winter Ice Lily: 168 local specialties, only found in Nod-Krai. Plan a collection route + the Seven's Waypoint on the map.
  • Mora: about 420,000 for the levels, plus 1.65 million to max out the three talents.

On the talent side, Columbina uses the "Teachings/Guide/Philosophies of Moonlit Clarity" books, available in the dedicated Domain in Nod-Krai on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The weekly boss talent drop is the Mask of the Virtuous Doctor, obtained from a major regional boss. Three Crowns of Insight are needed to raise all three talents to level 10 — save them carefully, prioritizing the elemental skill.

Artifacts: the new lunar set dominates

Two sets clearly stand out, both recently released alongside the Nod-Krai region:

Silken Moonsong Serenade (4-piece)

This is the absolute BiS. The 2-piece bonus grants 20% Energy Recharge, which solves a good part of the expensive ultimate problem. The 4-piece bonus stacks Elemental Mastery on each tick of the Gravitational Ripple and increases Lunar reaction damage according to the active character's Moonsign rank. On Columbina, the multiplier reaches levels that are hard to match.

Song of Days Past (4-piece)

A solid alternative if your drops are bad. 2-piece bonus: +80 Elemental Mastery. 4-piece bonus: +20% off-field Lunar reaction damage, rising to 40% if Columbina is in the "Ascendant Gleam" state (triggered after three successive Lunar reactions).

Stat distribution

SlotMain statPriority substats
SandsHP% or Energy RechargeHP%, Energy Recharge
GobletHP%HP%, Crit Rate
CircletCrit Rate or Crit DMGHP%, Crit Rate/DMG

Targets to aim for: around 32,000 HP, 70% Crit Rate / 180% Crit DMG and 160 to 180% Energy Recharge depending on the weapon used. If you're equipping the signature, 160% is enough; on 4-star weapons, go up to 180%.

Weapons: signature or 4-star?

Columbina's signature catalyst, released on her weapon banner, has 542 base ATK and an 88.2% Crit DMG substat. Its passive effect increases Max HP by 10%, and each Lunar reaction trigger regenerates 14 energy while granting a stackable Max HP and Crit DMG buff for the next window. In practice, that's a 15 to 22% damage gain over the best alternatives — more if you're playing without another Electro battery in the team, since the energy regeneration replaces a Recharge slot.

The 4-star alternatives hold up well:

  • Sacrificial Jade: the best F2P/craftable option. 36.8% Crit Rate substat and a partial skill cooldown reset effect. The Max HP buff triggers automatically from the first skill use.
  • Favonius Codex: preferable if your team lacks energy particles. 30.6% Energy Recharge substat.
  • Amber Prototype: a craftable catalyst, offering secondary healing on ult and a solid ATK base. Useful if Columbina is also filling a backup healer role.
  • Sacrificial Fragments: pure Elemental Mastery substat, decent for maximizing reaction damage if you're not going the Crit route.

Our recommendation: go signature only if you're on a guaranteed high pull-score path (accumulated Epitomized Path, defined route). Otherwise, the R5 Sacrificial Jade stays within 10% of the signature in most rotations.

Team compositions: three approaches

Columbina fits into any team that leverages a Lunar reaction. Here are the three pillars tested in Spiral Abyss Floor 12.

Lunar-Charged

Columbina + Raiden Shogun + Sethos + Sucrose. Raiden does far more than serve as battery here: her Electro ticks during her burst continuously trigger Astroconduction within the Gravitational Wave, which guarantees a fast fill of the Gravity gauge. Sucrose spreads and lowers enemy RES. If you have Flins (Anemo main-DPS 6.6), the team goes up another notch. That's the reason to pull Raiden, by the way.

Lunar-Bloom

Columbina + Nahida + Kirara + Baizhu. Nahida applies constant Dendro, Columbina converts Blooms into Lunar-Blooms, Baizhu heals and shields. Alternative if you don't have Nahida: Yaoyao or Collei will work as secondary applicators, with a slight DPS drop-off. Kirara offers a mobile shield to guard against Blooms exploding in your face.

Lunar-Crystallize

Columbina + Sandrone + Xilonen + Zhongli. Sandrone (5★ Cryo Phase 1) becomes the true main-DPS of the team thanks to crits amplified by Lunar Crystals; Columbina provides Hydro and reaction buffs; Xilonen shreds RES; Zhongli tanks via his Geo shield. One of the most stable teams of 6.7, with a high damage ceiling.

Constellations: which ones are worth it?

A quick overview.

  • C1: minor bonus (energy regeneration, interruption resistance, or a small shield depending on the lunar reaction). Nice but skippable.
  • C2: the big milestone. The Gravity gauge fills 40% faster and each discharge grants an ATK, EM, or DEF buff to the active character. This is the "reasonable whale" threshold, the one that turns Columbina from a very good support into a broken rotation piece.
  • C3: +3 levels to the skill, standard damage gain.
  • C4: Gravitational Wave reactivations and damage bonuses specific to each lunar reaction.
  • C5: +3 levels to the burst.
  • C6: an additional 80% Crit DMG applied to the dominant element of the window after a lunar reaction — a huge boost for the team's main DPS. For ultra-whales only.

Verdict: aim for C0 or C2 max. Beyond that, the pull cost becomes absurd relative to the relative gain.

Raiden Shogun, the rerun that matters more than you'd think

It would be a mistake to consider Raiden as a mere filler unit. Since Sandrone (Phase 1 of 6.7), the Superconduct + Astroconduction meta has woken back up, and Raiden is literally the unit that makes Sandrone playable in Abyss 12. Her Electro ticks during her burst continuously trigger Superconduct on targets frozen by Sandrone, which shreds 40% Physical RES — the central component of the Cryo Fatui Harbinger's kit.

If you pulled Sandrone in Phase 1 without a second thought, Raiden is no longer optional. She also serves as a universal battery (her burst restores 20 to 25 energy to all allies depending on stacks), which helps Columbina teams with lots of costly bursts.

Her Engulfing Lightning remains her best weapon (61.3% Energy Recharge substat, passive effect that converts Recharge into Electro DMG). But the White Tassel, the Prototype Amber, or even the catalyst… sorry, the polearm The Catch get the job done at lower cost. The Kagotsurube Isshin remains a solid craftable base at the blacksmith.

F2P vs whale verdict: pull or pass?

Our take, in three profiles:

  • F2P player (Primogems saved over three patches): focus on a single banner. Columbina C0 if you're going all in on Nod-Krai; Raiden C0 if you have Sandrone. Don't try for both, you'll bleed out and have nothing guaranteed.
  • Welkin/Battle Pass player (light dolphin): Columbina C0 + attempt at a lost 50/50 on Raiden. The signature weapon is a bonus if you reach the Epitomized Path with Intertwined Fates to spare.
  • Whale (regular purchases): C2 Columbina as a priority. C6 is a trap, save for 6.8 which should bring a banger 5★ (leaks point to a fifth Fatui Harbinger).

A quick financial reminder: the Crown of Insight offered via the Summer Fontaine Fes... Fontinalia event (already ongoing until August 5) is perfect for leveling Columbina's skill talent to 10 without burning one of your own. Don't forget it.

A patch after her release, Columbina remains one of the most versatile units in the current meta — capable of sub-DPS, reaction support, and even tanking thanks to her HP scaling. Her 6.7 Phase 2 rerun arrives at a crystal-clear moment: Anemoculus... Electro-Cryo teams around Sandrone are finally viable, and Nod-Krai is packed with content that showcases her. For new players, she represents a more flexible investment than Skirk or Neuvillette. For veterans who missed her in 6.3, this is your catch-up window before Luna IX. Verdict: pull if you have the Primogems, prioritize Columbina over Raiden unless you have Sandrone synergy. And always keep 80 pulls in reserve for 6.8 Phase 1, you never know what HoYoverse will throw out after Nod-Krai.

Will you pull for Columbina in Phase 2, despite the double rerun?

Frequently asked questions

Does Columbina replace Furina or Xilonen in my teams?
No, she complements them instead. Columbina brings a dedicated lunar reaction buff via her ultimate and off-field Hydro application, but she doesn't compete on raw sub-DPS numbers. Use her to amplify reaction damage, not to replace your current support.
Which artifact set should I choose if I don't have Silken Moon's Serenade drops?
Song of Days Past is a respectable alternative with +80 Elemental Mastery as a 2-piece bonus and up to +40% lunar reaction damage. It loses about 15-20% overall efficiency compared to the BiS set, but remains viable.
Should I pull her signature weapon, or will a 4★ do the job?
The signature weapon (542 ATK, +88.2% CRIT DMG) offers tremendous comfort with only 160% Energy Recharge required. With a 4★, aim for at least 180%. If your Primogems are tight, a decent 4★ (Sacrificial Fragments, Flowing Purity) covers 85% of her potential.
Is the reworked Raiden Shogun really worth pulling because of Sandrone?
If you have Sandrone (Phase 1), yes — she becomes a pivotal piece for Superconduct. If not, it's less urgent. But be careful: two banners in three weeks is a resource trap.
Where should I start with ascension materials if I have little time?
Top priority: farm Radiant Elan Wood every week (limited boss drop). Alongside that, route Frost lilies and clear Hydro slimes. Gems can come later. Don't spread yourself across three fronts at once.

Key takeaways

  • Columbina converts standard reactions into lunar variants and buffs them massively: she's a hybrid sub-DPS/support, not a direct replacement for Furina.
  • Her kit scales entirely on max HP (32,000 target), requires 160-180% Energy Recharge, and needs Silken Moon's Serenade as BiS — the artifact grind could be brutal.
  • The reworked Raiden Shogun becomes essential for Superconduct teams built around Sandrone (Cryo, Phase 1): double rerun = a Primogem trap.
  • Start stockpiling ascension materials now: Radiant Elan Wood (weekly boss) will be the main bottleneck.
  • Three weeks is short to farm and build properly — if resources are tight, better to focus on one character than rush both.
