Genshin Impact 7.0 Phase 2 Banners: Flins & Ineffa Release
In brief
Genshin Impact 7.0 phase 2 rolls out on September 1st with an unprecedented mechanic: Flins and Ineffa, two Electro 5★ characters, launch simultaneously and their banners share the same pity counter. You won't need to do 90 pulls twice, but choosing between one or the other becomes mandatory for accounts without a stockpile. Meanwhile, the Abundance of Prosperity event (September 14-21) offers doubled rewards three times a day — a date you absolutely need to plan around to level up your new characters without wasting Resin.
HoYoverse released on Thursday, August 27, 2026 the two previews for the second half of version 7.0 of Genshin Impact: the "Version 7.0 Event Wishes Notice - Phase II" and the "“Everwinter Without Mercy” Version 7.0 Events Preview - Phase II". Everything switches over on September 1st.
And there's a line, repeated twice in the wishes announcement, that most players are going to read too quickly: the two 5★ characters of phase 2 launch together, and their two banners share the same pity counter. That's what makes this phase different from an ordinary phase 2.
Two Electro 5★s, the same window, the same pity
The two character event wishes run for exactly the same window:
| Wish | Featured 5★ character | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| "The Lone Light Knocks at Night" | “Shadowy Lights, Stranger Wights” Flins (Electro) | September 1st 6:00 PM → September 22 2:59 PM |
| "Astral Actuation" | “Boom Boom Thunderwave” Ineffa (Electro) | September 1st 6:00 PM → September 22 2:59 PM |
Times are given in server time.
The three featured 4★s are the same on both banners:
- “Clinky-Clank Gadgets-A-Gogo” Aino (Hydro);
- “Tempered in Molten Stone” Iansan (Electro);
- “Spring Woven From Jade” Lan Yan (Anemo).
The sentence worth reading twice
"Wishes made in the 'Character Event Wish' and 'Character Event Wish-2' are pooled together. As part of the guaranteed item drop, these wishes are cumulative […] but are not shared with wishes made in other types of event wishes."
In practical terms: a pull made on Flins's banner advances your counter for Ineffa's, and vice versa. You don't have to do your 90 pulls twice. However, this counter remains completely separate from the "Epitome Invocation" weapon wishes and the permanent "Wanderlust Invocation" wishes.
The less pleasant corollary: the famous lost "50/50" on one banner guarantees you the featured 5★ of the next one — but you can still only obtain one 5★ at a time. Two characters in three weeks means, for an account without reserves, having to choose.
Weapons: two polearms, and the Epitome Invocation
The "Epitome Invocation" wishes run for the same window (September 1st 6:00 PM → September 22 2:59 PM). The two featured 5★s are, notably, two polearms:
- Bloodsoaked Ruins (polearm);
- Fractured Halo (polearm).
The featured 4★s are the Flute (sword), the Favonius Greatsword (claymore), the Favonius Lance (polearm), the Eye of Perception (catalyst), and The Stringless (bow).
The Epitomized Path remains active: it lets you set in advance which of the two 5★ weapons you want to obtain. A weapon banner featuring two polearms is far from trivial when both featured characters are Electro: check your intended wielders' weapon type before spending anything on it.

The events calendar through September 22
The Part II events overview fits on a single timeline. Here it is laid out in full:
| Content | Window | What it grants |
|---|---|---|
| Great Expeditionist Challenge | August 28, 10:00 AM → September 14, 3:59 AM | “Kätzlein Cocktail” Diona (Cryo), a Crown of Insight, Primogems |
| Imaginarium Theater (new edition) | starting September 1 | One new Thespian Trick per character, obtained by exchange with the NPC Wolfy |
| Trial of the Bastion | September 7, 10:00 AM → September 17, 3:59 AM | Primogems and "other rewards," as HoYoverse puts it |
| Overflowing Abundance | September 14, 4:00 AM → September 21, 3:59 AM | Doubled rewards, three times a day |
Two longer-running counters continue ticking in the background: the Archon Quest "Everwinter Without Mercy" grants 560 Primogems in time-limited rewards through September 22, and the area exploration "The Godforsaken Frostlands" grants 400 through November 3. HoYoverse also notes, at the top of its overview, that "The Godforsaken Frostlands" and "When We Look Up at the Moon" are still ongoing.
"Overflowing Abundance": the one event you shouldn't miss
This is the shortest and most rewarding event on the list. Its rule, as written:
"During the event, complete Domains of Mastery or Domains of Forgery challenges, then use Original Resin to claim your rewards. These can be doubled 3 times per day!"
Seven days, three daily doublings: 21 doubled claims at most. The doubling applies to talent level-up materials and weapon ascension materials — exactly what a freshly pulled Flins or Ineffa will demand. Doing it the other way around (leveling talents before September 14) means throwing away half your Resin.
Imaginarium Theater: three elements, and an NPC not to forget
The new edition of the Imaginarium Theater opens on September 1. Its Event-Exclusive Elemental Types are Hydro, Anemo, and Dendro. In other words, the two 5★ characters of this phase, both Electro, are not among the season's Event-Exclusive Elemental Types. Another trade-off to weigh before spending.
A useful detail, printed in small text below the character list: Opening Characters and Special Guest Stars each receive a new Thespian Trick, obtained by exchange with the NPC Wolfy. It's not loot that drops automatically — you have to go get it.
What's left to do before September 1
- Spend your Resin on something other than talents and weapons until September 14 — the doubling of the Overflowing Abundance won't make up for what was spent beforehand.
- Finish the Great Expeditionist Challenge: it closes on September 14 at 3:59 AM and Diona is free there. Its content was unlocked in three stages, on August 28 and 30 then on September 1st.
- Decide between Flins and Ineffa before opening the banner, since the counter is shared: starting to pull "just to see" on one also commits you to the other.
Every label in this article — character names, weapons, events and wishes — is taken from HoYoverse's official English announcements.
