Genshin Impact: 'Star-Trodden Path: Joy' quests close on September 17, the event on 21 — a cap rising from 800 to 1,600
In brief
The Stellar Joy Paradisia Millennial Journey event closes its missions on September 17 at 5:00 AM (Paris time), four days before the global end on September 21. The tourist experience cap increases from 800 to 1,600 in increments, but HoYoverse specifies neither the exact dates of the increases nor whether this cap is daily or cumulative — a major ambiguity that requires testing from launch.
The Millennial Paradisia, the social space of Genshin Impact, opens a new event on Monday, September 7, 2026: "Starry Voyage: Joy". Its announcement has been readable in-game since Saturday, September 5 at 12:00 pm server time, i.e. 1:00 pm Paris time, but nothing in it is playable before Monday.
HoYoverse's text runs to about fifteen lines and displays two different end dates, one below the other, without a single word to warn that they are not interchangeable. The overall duration runs until September 21; the period during which progress can be made stops on the 17th. Between the two, four days remain during which nothing more can be earned.
Everything else relies on a progression currency, touring experiences, and on a cap that rises in stages, from 800 to 1,600. No other figure is published: neither a reward threshold, nor a quantity of Primogems. We will not invent any.
Two dates, and it's the first one that matters
HoYoverse's times are given in server time. The Europe region's announcement API itself declares its time zone, a timezone field set to 1, i.e. UTC+1, whereas Paris is at UTC+2 in September. An hour must therefore be added to each timestamp below: this conversion is ours, the publisher only publishes server time.
| Milestone | Europe server time | Paris time |
|---|---|---|
| Event opening | Monday, September 7, 2026, 10:00 am | 11:00 am |
| End of the quest completion period | Thursday, September 17, 2026, 4:00 am | 5:00 am |
| End of overall duration | Monday, September 21, 2026, 3:59 am | 4:59 am |
The window during which one can still increase their total lasts 9 days and 18 hours. The one during which one can only claim what has already been earned lasts 3 days and 23 h 59, that is, four days minus one minute. The two lines follow one another under the same subheading "Duration", in the same typography, and the announcement never returns to it again.
The practice is not new in this space. Of the five Paradisia announcements currently online, two thus display two windows instead of one: this one, and "Spooky Summer Fun", whose quests closed on August 31 for an event displayed until September 4. We reported the case on August 20; the gap was already four days.
The entry condition, for its part, does not change from one event to another: "After awakening your Millennial Paradisia Mannequin". Without this prior unlock, the event page remains closed, regardless of your progress in Teyvat.
800, 1,200, 1,600: the only sentence devoted to the cap
Here is the entirety of what HoYoverse writes about the leveling mechanic:
"After the event begins, the level range of the Starry Voyage and the maximum number of touring experiences that can be obtained will gradually increase over time. On the first day, the maximum limit will be 800, and it will increase by 400 every two days, up to a maximum limit of 1,600."
From 800 to 1,600, there are exactly two increases of 400. Applying the announced pace, the cap would rise to 1,200 on Wednesday, September 9, then to 1,600 on Friday the 11th, the fifth day of the event. This is our calculation, not data from the publisher: the announcement does not date any stage and gives no table.
Above all, it never specifies what this number is a cap of. Two readings hold up, and they do not lead to the same advice:
- Daily cap: each day offers a quota of Sightseeing Experiences that widens over time. Under this hypothesis, a day without playing is a day lost, and starting on September 14th means letting half the window slip away.
- Cumulative cap: the total accessible since the start of the event is simply unlocked in stages, like a progression lock. Under this hypothesis, arriving late costs nothing as long as the mission period isn't closed — and playing a lot on the first day doesn't yield any more.
We won't settle the matter: the French wording and the English wording are just as vague as one another. The only prudent approach is to open the event as early as September 7th and watch the in-game gauge; if the counter resets to zero the next day, the daily reading is the correct one.
The vocabulary is unstable within the document itself: the title and subtitle write "Starlight Voyage: Joyous Moment," but the body speaks of the "levels of the 'Starlight Voyage' event," without the second part. The levels are, in Paradisia, the playable scenes.
Prismatic Crystals: the use is only written in the title
The reward is summed up in a single line in the dedicated section — "Prismatic Crystals" — and in one sentence in the details: "During the event, you can obtain Prismatic Crystals by completing missions and accumulating Sightseeing Experiences." No tier, no quantity, no equivalence.
The only clue about their purpose is found in the title of the announcement, which describes them as "the tokens used to obtain the Colorful Surprise Box." This box appears nowhere else: neither in the body of the text, nor in the four other Paradisia announcements online, nor in the version 7.0 patch notes. A reader who only reads the event details would therefore have no idea what the thing they're earning is for.
The second warning, on the other hand, is explicit: "Prismatic Crystals obtained as event rewards will expire after a certain period of time. Please take note of the expiration date and use your rewards in time." No date is published alongside the announcement: it appears on the item itself, in-game. Accumulating without spending is therefore a risk, one that can only be measured by checking the inventory.
For those playing with the English client, the correspondences found on the same API, language by language: "Voyage sous les étoiles : Joie" is rendered as Starlight Voyage: Joyous Moment, the expériences touristiques are Sightseeing Experiences, and the cristaux prismatiques are Prismatic Crystals; as for the boîtes de surprise merveilleuse, the English title only knows one, in the singular, the Colorful Surprise Box. HoYoverse translates the entirety of its announcements, including those from Paradisia.
The real risk isn't missing the date, it's missing the event
Three factors conspire to make this event invisible. First, the categorization. The announcement board of Genshin Impact has three tabs: "Game," "Events," and "Stellar Paradisia." This event is filed under the third, which contains five entries, rather than under "Events," which contains fifteen. Anyone browsing the Events tab will never see it.
Next, the official calendar. The "Version 7.0 Events Preview – Part II," published by HoYoverse on August 27, 2026, lists seven entries: two character wishes, one weapon wish, the Trial: Expeditioners' Great Ordeal, the Stygian Onslaught, the "Abundance of Prosperity" event, and the Imaginarium Theater update. Its "Content Preview" infographic adds the Archon Quest and area exploration. No Paradisia lineup appears in it, neither this one nor any others.

Finally, the editorial silence. HoYoverse's French-language news channels have published nothing since August 31, 2026, and their last post was about the month's wallpapers. The in-game announcement is therefore, as of now, the only official source describing this event.
What to remember
- Awaken your Mannequin before September 7 if you haven't already: it's the only access requirement.
- Open the event as soon as it launches, on September 7 at 11:00 a.m. Paris time, and check the gauge's behavior yourself: it's the only way to know whether the cap is daily or cumulative.
- The date to remember is Thursday, September 17, 4:00 a.m. server time (5:00 a.m. Paris time). After that, levels no longer yield anything.
- September 21 at 3:59 a.m. (4:59 a.m. Paris time) is only for claiming rewards, and for spending your Prismatic Crystals before they expire.
Two nearby deadlines are worth noting together, since they fall within the same handful of hours: the "Frostbound" Battle Pass closes on September 21 at 3:59 a.m. server time, and the Paradisia's "Season of Phantasmagoria" shifts into its showcase phase on September 22 at 4:00 a.m., the point at which, according to HoYoverse, "points and leaderboard scores will no longer be counted."
Unknown scoring system, unknown quantities, unknown expiration date, unknown nature of the cap: that's a lot of blind spots for ten days of gameplay. The only useful certainty is calendar-based: on the morning of September 17, the event stops yielding rewards, four days before it disappears.
