Warframe: Nightwave Temporal Tempo closes on August 12, how to spend your Tokens in time
In brief
Nightwave: Temporal Storms closes on August 12th at 5 PM Paris time, taking all your unused Nightwave Cred with it. You have three days and one last weekly rotation to spend down your balance in the shop, otherwise it's a total loss: current Mix Creds don't carry over and sell back for a measly 5,000 credits each.
Digital Extremes has set the closing date: Nora's Mix: Temporal Storms ends on Wednesday, August 12 at 11 AM ET, that's 5 PM Paris time. The next Mix, Amir's Shock Wave, goes live the same day around 2:30 PM ET (8:30 PM Paris time). Between the two, the Cred Offerings shop is simply inaccessible.
As of this Sunday, August 9, that leaves you three days and a single weekly rotation. Weekly Acts and the shop's stock refresh on Monday at 00:00 UTC, meaning Monday, August 10 at 2 AM Paris time. The one on August 17 will never happen for this show: this will be the last batch.
The real trap is the Nora's Mix: Temporal Storms Creds. Each show has its own currency, and this one expires with the season. Whatever you have left on August 12 won't carry over into Amir's Shock Wave Creds: it can only be sold back from your inventory, at 5,000 credits each, whereas an assembled Orokin Reactor costs 75 in the shop. That's essentially a dead loss.
The countdown to the final hours
| Deadline (Paris time) | What happens |
|---|---|
| Monday, August 10, 2:00 AM | Final rotation: 2 Weekly Acts, 3 Permanent Weekly Acts, 2 Elite Weekly Acts, and the last Cred Offerings shop restock |
| Monday the 10th, Tuesday the 11th, and Wednesday the 12th, 2:00 AM | New Daily Act (1,000 Standing points, active for three days) |
| Wednesday, August 12, 5:00 PM | End of Temporal Storms: Acts, progression, and Cred Offerings shop cut off |
| Wednesday, August 12, around 8:30 PM | Opening of the Nora's Mix show: Amir's Shock Wave |
One detail that matters: the current rotation expires Monday at 2 AM. If you still have Weekly Acts open, today is the day to close them out.
How many ranks are actually still reachable
A rank costs 10,000 Standing points, and the scale hasn't changed: 1,000 points for a Daily Act, 4,500 for a Weekly Act, 7,000 for an Elite Weekly Act. The final week therefore puts two Weekly Acts, three Permanent Weekly Acts, and two Elite Weekly Acts on the table, totaling 36,500 points. Add the Daily Acts still active — each remains available for three days, which stacks up to six of them by Wednesday afternoon — and you're brushing up against 42,500 points, meaning four full ranks.
Past rank 30, each Prestige rank (there are 150 of them) pays out 15 Creds. Four additional ranks therefore represent 60 more Creds to spend: enough to fund most of a Catalyst or an Orokin Reactor.
If you're still below rank 30, the logic flips: it's the milestones themselves that pay off. Rank 1 pays out 150 Creds, then ranks 5, 11, 16, 21, and 24 each give 50. The real end-of-track prizes are elsewhere: Veiled Riven Decoder at rank 19, Warframe Slot at rank 20, Stance Forma at rank 26, Umbra Forma at rank 29, and the Escuchon Attachment at rank 30. These rewards drop automatically with each rank-up; only the shop requires action on your part.
There's still the lever most players forget about: unfinished Weekly Acts don't disappear, they go into reserve. As soon as you have fewer than three Weekly Acts in progress, the game surfaces three from past weeks, marked as recovered ("Recovered" in the English client). The end of a season is the best time to clear this backlog: every recovered Act pays full rate.
The lightened Acts from July 29, to prioritize
In the same announcement post, Digital Extremes eased up a series of Acts. This list was only published in English: the French client translates them, but since no official correspondence was provided, the titles are reproduced here exactly as the publisher wrote them.
- Perplexed: only one riddle to solve in Duviri instead of three, and the Act drops from elite to weekly.
- Finely Tuned: only one Shawzin song to play in Duviri instead of two.
- Now Boarding: only one K-Drive race (Orb Vallis on Venus or Cambion Drift on Deimos) instead of three.
- Fallen Angel: three Void Angels to take down on the Zariman instead of five.
- Elite Explorer: six Railjack missions instead of eight.
- Cache Hunter: the six caches now count even outside of Sabotage missions.
- Day Trader: three consecutive wagers won at the Index, without needing to prevent the opponent from scoring anymore.
- Zariman / Venus / Earth Bounty Hunter: bounties no longer need to be different from one another, and the Zariman version shifts to elite weekly, thus 7,000 points.
- Eternal Guardian and High Ground: progress now counts completed Armageddon rounds and sealed ruptures rather than completed missions; both also shift to elite weekly.
- The Hunt is On: 10 syndicate medallions to find instead of 5, but the Act moves from daily to weekly — thus 4,500 points instead of 1,000.
The practical takeaway is simple: three Acts that used to be weekly now pay 7,000 points for unchanged effort, and three others have had their requirements cut in half or by a third. Perplexed and Finely Tuned can be completed in the same Duviri session, Now Boarding in a single race. That's where your four ranks are, not in the heaviest elite Acts.
Nightwave Token Shop: what order to spend in
The shop is found in the "Nightwave Token Shop" tab of the Nightwave console, accessible from the Orbiter's Navigation, the bridge's radio scanner, or the Pause menu. Part of the catalogue rotates every week; five entries, however, are always available, and these are the ones that should absorb most of your balance.
| Item | Price | Why get it |
|---|---|---|
| Orokin Reactor (assembled) | 75 Nightwave Creds | Permanently doubles the Mod capacity of a Warframe, a Necramech, an Archwing, a Companion, a K-Drive, or the Railjack, and comes already built |
| Orokin Catalyst (assembled) | 75 Nightwave Creds | Same effect on a weapon; outside the shop, it's paid for in Platinum |
| Nitain Extract x5 | 15 Nightwave Creds | The best value in the catalogue: this resource gates plenty of crafting, and other sources are scarce |
| Kuva x10,000 | 50 Nightwave Creds | Useful if you're rerolling Rivens; otherwise, Palladino and Archimedean Yonta each offer 35,000 every week |
| Vauban Blueprints (three pieces) | 25 Nightwave Creds each | The only reliable way to get the Warframe if you're missing it |
The rest of the catalogue rotates weekly: Aura Mods and Augment Mods, for both weapons and Warframes, at 20 Nightwave Creds; alternate helmet blueprints at 35; melee weapon blueprints at 50; then cosmetics (armor, syandanas, sigils, glyphs, emblems, Orbiter decorations, color palettes, and Capturas).
Priority order if your balance is limited: first the Aura Mods you're missing, since they're permanently unavailable elsewhere and rotate week to week. Then Reactors and Catalysts, which never expire. Exclusive cosmetics come after, but don't neglect them: unlike Mods, they won't necessarily return for several years.

What's in store for August 12
Amir's Shockwave highlights 1999-themed rewards: the Globakk Syandana, the Kaneshell Atomicycle Apparel, and the Teisatz Oculus are among the roughly fifteen items announced by Digital Extremes. If you already own some of them, duplicate protection carries over: any duplicate reward is replaced with Amir's Shockwave Tokens.
The list of Acts is also changing, and here too the official names are in English. Two disappear — Confiscated (daily) and Friendly Fire (weekly) — because they forced players from the same squad to compete against each other. In their place, the show adds two daily Acts (including Whole Arsenal: a kill with your primary, secondary, and melee weapon in under ten seconds), six very quick weekly Acts (150 kills with a bow, rifle, sniper rifle, or shotgun, 30 Void Traces to collect, an Arcane to dissolve for Vosfor) and six significantly heavier elite weekly Acts, including a Netracell, an Isleweaver mission in Duviri, defeating Roathe in the Descendia, and three successful conversions in Alchemy mode.
Don't confuse the two same-day additions: Fables & Frontiers: Running Late, the narrative mini-adventure on KIM, is not tied to the Nightwave Mix. It's a permanent addition to the KIM system, accessible once you've completed the Hex quest, reached rank 5 with the Hex Syndicate, and reached the KIM affinity level "Close" (rank 5) with Amir. Its rewards — an Atomicycle Key Sugatra, Fables & Frontiers Glyphs for each member of the Hex, and several returning items from Nora's Mix Vol. 8 — are obtained from Amir, by ringing the bell in a new area of Höllvania's Central Mall, in exchange for Hex Reputation.

The three-day plan
This Sunday, start by opening your inventory and noting your exact Token balance: that number dictates everything else. Then finish any weekly Acts still open before Monday's 2 a.m. rollover, and head to the shop to buy whatever's in this week's rotation that you're missing — you won't see this full stock again until part of it returns on Monday.
On Monday, the last batch of Acts arrives at 2 a.m. Start with the two elite weekly Acts if their objectives are within your reach, then move on to the lighter Acts. If you're carrying a backlog, clear it: three completed Acts are worth up to 21,000 points, or two ranks.
On Wednesday, plan for a buffer. The cutoff hits at 5 p.m. Paris time, not in the evening: one last trip to the shop in the morning, balance brought down as close to zero as possible, and you'll have turned a perishable currency into permanent gear. Those who discover the shutdown at 6 p.m. will have no choice but to sell their Tokens back for 5,000 credits apiece.

Key takeaways
- Monday, August 10th at 2 AM Paris time: this is the last rotation of the shop and of the weekly Acts
- The four remaining ranks can be picked up through the lightened Acts (Perplexed, Finely Tuned, Now Boarding), not through Elite Acts
- Spend first on whatever Aura Mods you're missing, then on assembled Reactors and Catalysts, since those are the real gems
- Any Temporal Storms Cred left on August 12th becomes worthless: there's no exchange whatsoever toward Amir's Shockwave
- Don't forget the recovered weekly Acts near the end of the season: each one pays full rate even if it comes from a past week
