Warframe: Devstream #197 on September 4 reveals the 66th Warframe — and there will be no Twitch Drops, the gift lands in-game at the end
In brief
Digital Extremes unveils its 66th Warframe, Narin, on September 4th at 1 p.m. from Seoul. Heads up: no Twitch Drops this time — the free item is obtained in-game via an alert after the show, not during it.
Digital Extremes will hold its Devstream #197 on Friday, September 4, 2026, and not from its usual offices: the show will be broadcast live from Seoul, South Korea. For viewers in western Europe, that's 1 p.m. CEST — the most convenient time slot a Devstream has offered in a long while.
But before planning your lunch break around it, you need to read the note at the bottom of the announcement, because it completely changes the equation:
« Due to the remote nature of this Devstream, there will be no Twitch Drops. To make up for this, we've added the Twitch Drop item in the form of an extra in-game Gift of the Lotus alert, which will be activated at the end of the Devstream. »
What this actually changes
Devstreams usually come with a Twitch Drop that requires leaving the show running, with your account linked, for a set amount of time. None of that applies this time:
- Linking your Twitch account is pointless for this Devstream;
- staying tuned to the show gives you no item;
- the item is obtained in-game, via a Gift of the Lotus alert that activates once the Devstream ends.
In other words: watch the Devstream if its content interests you, but what matters is logging into the game afterward. Gift of the Lotus alerts have a limited lifespan — that's the one appointment not to miss in this whole operation.
The exact time, according to the time zones published by the studio
| Time zone | Time |
|---|---|
| CEST (Paris) | 1:00 p.m. |
| KST (Seoul) | 8:00 p.m. |
| BST (London) | 12:00 p.m. |
| EDT (New York) | 7:00 a.m. |
| PDT (Los Angeles) | 4:00 a.m. |
| BRT / ART | 8:00 a.m. |
| JST | 8:00 p.m. |
The broadcast will air on the playwarframe YouTube channel and on the game's official Twitch channel.
The announced lineup, point by point
Digital Extremes makes no secret of the content. The show is billed as « the first full reveal of our next major update: The Iceblade of Narin ». In short, six topics:
1. Narin, the 66th Warframe
This is the main course: the first reveal of the 66th Warframe, with her full ability kit — not just a silhouette. The studio adds a bit of intrigue: Narin is said to have a close connection to a certain Cephalon, without saying which one.
2. Banshee's rework
Announced plainly as « Banshee's Rework ». Banshee is one of the oldest and least-played Warframes in the roster; a full rework is, for veterans, the most anticipated piece of information in the show after Narin.
3. Two Deluxe Aspects and one Prime: Qorvex, Banshee, and Citrine
Two Deluxe Aspects — the official term used in the client for a skin — and one Prime Warframe. The pairing of Banshee's rework + Banshee Deluxe in the same Devstream is no coincidence: it's the studio's usual pattern when relaunching a neglected Warframe.
4. The next batch of TennoGen
Community creations, selected and added to the game. The studio refers to the « next batch », meaning a new wave that has already been approved.
5. Changes to Riven Mods
Phrased as « more about the upcoming Riven Changes »: the topic was already on the table, and the show is set to say more about it. This is the point most likely to have an immediate effect on the game's market — a Riven is only worth what its stats are, and the caps that frame them. Caution is advised before buying or selling while awaiting the details.
6. And Soulframe
The presence of Soulframe's creative director, Geoff Crookes, and his associate art director, Rosa Lee, leaves part of the show for the studio's second game. On the Warframe side, Rebecca Ford (creative director) and Megan Everett (community and live ops director) hold the floor, alongside South Korean host Will Chobra.
Why Seoul: the same-day TennoVIP
The Devstream isn't landing there by chance. Digital Extremes is holding TennoVIP: Seoul on September 4 at 6 PM KST, two hours before the show, at 1 Island, Some Sevit, 683 Olympic-daero. Registration for the event opened on August 11 at 8 PM KST. The Devstream is therefore being broadcast from the studio's world tour, which also explains the absence of Drops: the usual infrastructure isn't on site.
In the meantime: the Teshin plush needs 200 pre-orders
Another announcement from the studio, this one published on August 27: Digital Extremes is partnering with Makeship for a Teshin plush. The campaign runs on a threshold system:
« 200 Tenno need to pre-order this plush for this cuddly mentor to finally find a place in your home. »
This is Makeship's usual model: without reaching the threshold, nothing gets produced and pre-orders are cancelled. Worth keeping an eye on if you're interested in the item — this isn't a standard sale.
Key takeaways
- Devstream #197: Friday, September 4, 1 p.m. CEST, from Seoul.
- No Twitch Drop: the item is distributed via an in-game alert at the end of the show. Log in afterward, not during.
- On the agenda: Narin, the 66th Warframe and her full kit, Banshee rework, Qorvex Deluxe, Banshee Deluxe, Citrine Prime, TennoGen, and the changes to Rivens.
Every label above — The Iceblade of Narin, Gift of the Lotus, Banshee Deluxe, TennoGen — is quoted from Digital Extremes' official announcement. The studio has not published a localised version of this one.
