Mistfall Hunter tip: how to change class

Changing class in Mistfall Hunter isn't unlocked right from the start. You first have to slog through the prologue. Once the tutorial is wrapped up, you're teleported to the camp, your main hub between two extraction runs, and that's where it all happens.

Good news: your character progression stays intact. No campaign wipe to worry about. You keep all your gear and your progress, and you can test out new weapon combos right away in the adjacent training arena before heading back out on extraction.

The steps to follow

Nothing complicated once you're at the camp:

• Find Dew, the NPC who acts as your quest guide throughout the adventure.
• Talk to them and select the "change class" option.
• Choose your new class from the list on offer, and the change is immediate.

Simple on paper. But a couple of details change things depending on when you decide to switch.

The cost that rises with your level

First class change: free. No excuse not to try it at least once. However, every switch after that will cost you Gyldenblods, and the price tag gets heavier as your character levels up.

In practical terms, that means dawdling before settling on a build has a real cost. It's better to identify early on which class fits your playstyle rather than flitting around once your character is well advanced, or you'll see the bill climb with every attempt.

Cooldown and reversion window

Once the switch is confirmed, a cooldown kicks in before you can try the experience again with another class. So no spamming changes at will.

A small detail that saves the day: if the class doesn't suit you, a short reversion window lets you go back to your previous class without waiting out the full cooldown. It's your safety net if the change turns out to be a lapse in judgment - but it's short, so don't dawdle testing your new kit before it closes.
