In brief
Diamonds are essential in Crimson Desert for upgrading your abyssal gear. Find out where to get them, particularly at the Hernand Highlands Cave, how to mine them with a mining pick, and how to use them with witches for crafting or selling.
In Crimson Desert, diamonds are an essential crafting material for upgrading abyssal gear. This article will help you find out where to locate these precious crystals.
Locating a diamond cave
Diamond caves are quite rare on the continent of Pywel, but it is nonetheless possible to find one fairly early in the game. The Hernand Highlands cave is ideal for starting your search. It is located to the south of the Grey Manes camp.
To get there, head to the large crater south of the camp. At the very bottom, on the south wall, you can spot a small cave entrance. Carefully climb down into the crater, and enter the cave.

Necessary equipment, exploration, and extraction
Before entering the cave, you need to acquire a mining pick, which can be bought in Hernand; this will allow you to mine the diamond mineral nodes you find.
Inside the cave, you will travel through very narrow, winding passages, filled with stalactites and other rocks. At the very end are diamond mineral nodes, which can be extracted with your pick or your Palm Strike ability.
Note
Each node can yield two diamonds, so be sure to pick up the stones as soon as they appear.

Using diamonds
Once you have a sufficient stock of diamonds, go see a witch to use them either for crafting or for upgrading abyssal gear. It is also possible to sell them to merchants for silver coins, which makes them a valuable resource for your economy.
