Zenless Zone Zero: Dialyn, Yuzuha, or Asaba Harumasa — which S-rank Agent to choose on the August 19 rerun banner

In brief

The August 19 exclusive rerun banner lets you choose between Dialyn, Yuzuha, or Asaba Harumasa — a single guaranteed S-rank agent in 90 pulls maximum, with no 50/50 to lose. The choice depends on your roster: pick the stunner missing from a young account, the Anomaly support if you already have one in place, or the Electric DPS if your bench needs it.

On Wednesday, August 19 at 1 p.m. (Paris time), phase 2 of version 3.1 "A Long Farewell" opens not one banner, but two. There's Sigrid's, an S-Rank Ice Attack agent, running until September 8. And there's the one people are talking about much less: an exclusive re-run banner, open in the same window, on which the targeted S-Rank agent isn't chosen by HoYoverse but by you, among Dialyn, Yuzuha, and Asaba Harumasa.

One name at a time — but a choice that's never locked in: the selection can be changed freely, at any time, as long as you haven't pulled your S-Rank agent. What is locked is that only one of the three will appear on this banner; the other two will wait for a re-run with no announced date. And since the standard S-Rank pool — Nekomata, Lycaon, Soldier 11, Koleda, Grace, and Rina — doesn't include any of them, there's no fallback route.

No 50/50 here: the first S-Rank agent obtained is the one you designated

This is the feature that sets this banner apart from a standard one, and it changes the whole calculation. On an ordinary agent banner, the first S-Rank obtained is the featured one only half the time. Here, no: the first S-Rank agent pulled on this channel is the one you selected. No coin flip to lose, so no second budget to set aside.

RuleValueWhat this means

So the budget comes down to a single number: 90. This is the worst-case scenario, not an average expectation — at the 90th pull without an S-Rank agent, the guarantee kicks in, and that S-Rank agent is the one you've locked in. With 90 pulls in reserve on August 19, you'll walk away with your agent. If you have fewer, only open one front: Sigrid or the re-run.

This banner also matters to those skipping Sigrid

These are two separate banners: nothing forces you to pull on Sigrid's to pull on the other one. And your reserves keep growing whether you like it or not, between daily check-ins and ongoing events — "Click! Duel at the Summit!" until August 24, "Summer Wave Rush" until September 7. So the question isn't "should I pull," but "on which name."

The window itself is closed in advance: on September 8, version 3.1 ends, and the banner along with it. This is the only known opportunity of this version to steer an S-Rank guarantee toward a specific role rather than being stuck with the imposed featured agent.

The three candidates cover three different team slots

These three agents have already had their banner and their build guides: today's topic is the choice, not the build. According to Game8 and Prydwen's profiles:

  • Dialyn: an S-Rank Physical Attack agent, oriented toward Stun. She opens up windows where the rest of the team can strike.
  • Yuzuha (Ukinami Yuzuha in English-language sources): an S-Rank Physical Support agent, profiled for Anomaly teams.
  • Asaba Harumasa: an S-Rank Electric Attack agent, alternating between ranged and melee combat.

A word on labels. HoYoverse has not published a French name for this banner: English-language sources call it Exclusive Rescreening Signal Search, and "exclusive rerun banner" is our descriptive phrasing, not an official label. Sigrid's engine-amplifier, on the other hand, does have one: the French patch notes for 3.1 call it "Éloge du cavalier" (Knight's Extolment in English). No official French page, however, settles the exact spelling of Dialyn, Yuzuha and Asaba Harumasa: we keep the original spelling, and your French client is the authoritative source.

Young account: pick the role you're missing, never raw power

On an account that doesn't yet field two complete teams, the classic mistake is to pick the agent with the biggest numbers. Wrong criterion: one more attacker directly competes with the carry you already have, whereas a stunner or a support slots into almost every composition.

Without an S-rank stun agent, Dialyn is the default choice. With a team already built around Anomaly, Yuzuha takes priority. Asaba Harumasa only becomes the priority if your account has no decent source of Electric damage. And the bill is the same for everyone: 90 pulls, and the designated slot fills up.

Well-stocked roster: the only criterion left is the second team

On a mature account, the arithmetic doesn't change: 90 pulls here too, with no risk premium. The same budget unlocks Sigrid or the rerun, and the comparison happens at strictly equal cost. What's left to decide is the only thing that matters: what composition each agent unlocks.

The criterion becomes simple: which of the three lets you field a formation that's impossible to put together today? A well-stocked account rarely has two S-rank stunners and two S-rank supports. The balance therefore tips toward Dialyn or Yuzuha for most veterans, with Asaba Harumasa remaining the option for empty Electric benches.

End-of-version goal: count your formations, not your carries

If your horizon is the demanding modes at the end of 3.1 — Deadly Assault and its Sinister mode, the current Hollow Zero season — the question is no longer a single team's power but the depth of the bench. One more attacker replaces a starter; a stunner or a support makes an entire formation playable that had been left on the sidelines. The argument tips clearly toward Dialyn or Yuzuha.

The point to check in-game on August 19: is the pity counter shared with Sigrid's banner?

This is the only unknown that could still change your plan. There is no official confirmation as to whether the pull counter is shared or separate between Sigrid's banner and the reelection banner. If it's separate, aiming for both amounts to setting aside 90 pulls on each side. So check your in-game counter on August 19 before allocating anything.

Key dates to remember

  • Today, Monday, August 17: do your math. Add up your numbered master tapes, and settle on the team slot you want to fill.
  • Wednesday, August 19, 1 PM (Paris time): opening of Sigrid's banner and the reelection banner. This is where you designate Dialyn, Yuzuha, or Asaba Harumasa.
  • Monday, August 24, 3:59 AM (server time): end of "Snap! Focus Showdown!".
  • Monday, September 7, 3:59 AM (server time): end of "Surge of Summer Waves", and thus of the Lucy "Princess Vacation" outfit it allows you to obtain.
  • Tuesday, September 8: closing of both banners and end of version 3.1 "A Long Farewell", open since July 29 for 42 days.

Three weeks, a single name to give — and a name that commits you to nothing as long as the S-rank agent hasn't dropped. If you're still hesitating on August 19, make a selection anyway: it doesn't cost a pull and can be freely changed. The only real deadline is September 8.

Which agent will you designate on the August 19 rerun banner?

Frequently asked questions

Can I really change my choice for free after August 19?
Yes, as long as you haven't obtained the S-rank agent on the rerun banner. Switching is free, with no cost in pulls. Once the agent drops, you're locked in.
Can I go for both Sigrid AND the rerun agent with the same budget?
Not if you have fewer than 180 pulls. Sigrid alone requires 90 in the worst case, and so does the rerun. First check on August 19 whether the counters are shared or separate — that's the only unknown that can change your plan.
Which one should I pick if I don't have a complete team?
Dialyn first if you don't have an S-rank stunner. She opens the windows where the rest of the team can strike, which strengthens almost any composition. Yuzuha comes second if you're already building an Anomaly team.
What if I have a well-stocked roster with two competitive teams?
Aim for whichever of the two (Dialyn or Yuzuha) fills the empty slot on your bench. A third stunner or support makes an entire sidelined formation playable; a third attacker only replaces an existing starter.
Does the banner really close on September 8?
Yes, it's the only known opportunity in this 3.1 version to direct a guaranteed S-rank agent toward the role of your choice. After September 8, all three will be waiting for a rerun with no announced date.

Key takeaways

  • No 50/50: the first S-rank agent you get is the one you designated, no pulls lost along the way.
  • Single budget of 90 pulls — that's the worst case, not an average, and it's the same bill for all three.
  • On a young account, the priority is the missing role (stunner or support) rather than raw damage output.
  • Check on August 19 whether the pity counter is shared between Sigrid and the rerun before deciding which front to pull on.
  • The selection is free and can be changed until you pull — switch your mind as many times as you like before September 8.
