In brief

The "Crispy Dishes Service Plan" event welcomes Zenless Zone Zero players until September 7th to relaunch Streamer K's food truck on Lumina Square. Beware: commissions unlock progressively, so you need to come back regularly rather than trying to finish everything at the last minute, and two unavoidable prerequisites block access (Inter-Knot Level 20 + Chapter 1 Interlude).

The event "Crispy Dish Service Plan" has been running since Wednesday, August 19, 2026, 10:00 a.m. server time, i.e. 11:00 a.m. in Paris. It closes on Monday, September 7 at 3:59 a.m. server time, i.e. 4:59 a.m. here. Two conditions are required to enter, and neither can be bypassed: reach Inter-Knot Lv. 20 and complete the Interlude of Chapter 1 of the main story.

The setting is Lumina Square. There, you lend a hand to Streamer K, backed by the Angels of Illusion, to prepare dishes and get his food truck running again. At the end of the chain are the proxy accessory "K's Tempo of Illusions", Polychromes, Boopons, and "various upgrade materials," according to the announcement's wording.

The parameter that shapes everything else fits in one sentence from the announcement: the event's commissions "will be unlocked progressively over the course of the event." So no one will clear this content in one go this weekend. Players will need to come back to it, which makes it all the more urgent to sort out the two prerequisites now rather than a few days before it closes.

What the official announcement contains, line by line

HoYoverse's announcement fits into three blocks and takes a minute to read. The first gives the window: from 08/19/2026 at 10:00 a.m. to 09/07/2026 at 3:59 a.m., both in server time. The second sets out the participation requirements, Inter-Knot Lv. 20 and completion of the Interlude of Chapter 1. The third describes the gameplay loop and the list of rewards.

A word about the clocks, since ZZZ juggles several. The European server is set to UTC+1: as long as daylight saving time applies, Paris is an hour ahead of the clock shown in announcements dated "server time." That's where the 11:00 a.m. on August 19 and the 4:59 a.m. on September 7 mentioned above come from.

What the announcement does not contain deserves to be stated just as clearly: no specific figures. The text names Polychromes and Boopons, but publishes no total, no tier, and no per-commission breakdown. Guides that put forward a number of Polychromes for this event are not drawing it from the official announcement. We won't be inventing one either.

Inter-Knot Lv. 20 and Interlude of Chapter 1: the real filter

This is the barrier that weeds out recent accounts and players returning from a break. Level 20 is reached without any particular effort by playing normally, but the Interlude of Chapter 1 is a different story: it's a main story milestone, one that must be played through and cannot be skipped by grinding experience.

Good news for those coming back: these are exactly the same two conditions as "Wave-Riding Rush," the summer event we detailed on August 10 that closes at the same time, on September 7 at 3:59 a.m. server time. A single main story session therefore opens both doors at once. For an account left aside since the start of summer, this is the task to schedule first, even before touching the commissions.

Commissions released in drips: what this means for you

The progressive unlocking is a scheduling constraint, not a difficulty one. It means that at any given moment, only some of the commissions are visible in the Events menu; the rest appear over the following days, with HoYoverse not publishing the exact opening pace.

The practical consequence is simple to state. A player who logs in once a week may find several commissions stacked up, which is not a problem in itself; the one who decides to do everything on September 6, on the other hand, will hit a wall of content and a closure at dawn the next day. The rule of thumb, then, fits in one line: check in on Lumina Square every two or three days and clear what's available, rather than planning one big final session.

Second consequence, less obvious: the proxy accessory "Illusion Tempo K" is described as the reward for completed commissions. HoYoverse explicitly ties it to the event's commissions: nothing indicates it will be recoverable elsewhere if the event closes with commissions left unfinished.

The two events to knock out right away

Phase 2 opened two other pieces of content that require far less time and stack with the food truck. The first is "En-Nah's Gift Rain!", a login event: 7 cumulative login days grant Encrypted Master Tape ×10 and Boopon ×10. Its requirements are much lower — Inter-Knot Lv. 5 and the Events feature unlocked during the "The Hare and the Proxy" prologue. An account too young for Lumina Square can therefore already claim this one.

Watch out for its window, which is not the same as the food truck's: it runs until 09/08/2026 at 3:59 AM server time. These are cumulative days, not consecutive ones, but seven are required: starting September 1, there's no margin left.

The second is "Onstage Audition - Trial Level", open from 08/19 at 12:00 PM to 09/08 at 2:59 PM server time, starting at Inter-Knot Lv. 8. It offers a chance to try out Sigrid (Ice - Attack), Remielle (Lumen - Anomaly), Dialyn (Physical - Stun), Yuzuha Ukinami (Physical - Support), and Asaba Harumasa (Electric - Attack) in trial levels, with a reward handed out on the results page upon the first completion of each level.

Two uses, then. For a player still on the fence about phase 2's banners, it's a chance to handle Sigrid and the three rerun agents before spending anything. For everyone else, it's a one-time batch of rewards that can be collected in a handful of minutes. The gacha side proper — a 20% discount on the first set of 10 pulls and a guaranteed bonus — was covered in our August 17 and 20 guides, and nothing here depends on it.

Four deadlines, two different time zones

This is the recurring trap in Zenless Zone Zero, and this phase 2 pushes it quite far: content that opens on the same day doesn't close at the same time, nor according to the same time zone. Here are the key dates to remember.

DeadlinePublished date and timeParis time
End of "Crispy Dish Service Plan"09/07 at 03:59 (server time)Monday, September 7, 04:59
End of "En-Nah's Gift Rain!"09/08 at 03:59 (server time)Tuesday, September 8, 04:59
End of Phase 2 channels and "Stage Audition - Trial Level"09/08 at 14:59 (server time)Tuesday, September 8, 15:59
End of version 3.1 "A Long Farewell"09/09 at 06:00 (UTC+8)midnight, in the night of Tuesday, September 8 to Wednesday, September 9

Above all, keep the first gap in mind: the food truck closes a full day before the signal search channels, and nearly two days before the version. Counting on the last weekend of 3.1 to finish the commissions means missing the actual date by thirty-five hours.

Order of priority between now and September 7

  1. Check your prerequisites this weekend. Inter-Knot Lv. 20 and Chapter 1 Interlude: as long as these two boxes aren't checked, the event stays locked and the commissions already open pile up without you.
  2. Start the En-Nah connection series today. Seven cumulative days by September 8 is comfortable now, but tight starting September 1.
  3. Do the five trial levels once and for all. The reward is only granted on first completion: there's nothing to repeat afterward.
  4. Check in at Lumina Square every two or three days. The progressive unlock makes a single catch-up session at the end of the event unworkable.

One last landmark for those coming back after several weeks: everything above closes by September 8 at the latest, and the only content that truly demands spread-out play time is Streamer K's food truck. That's the one to start with, then, once the Chapter 1 Interlude is behind you.

Are you starting the food truck event this weekend or waiting until later?

Frequently asked questions

I'm too low level, can I catch up on the food truck event later?
No. The Chapter 1 Interlude is a main story milestone that you have to play and that cannot be skipped. Sort out these two prerequisites by this weekend at the latest, otherwise the commissions keep piling up without you.
How many Polychromes will the event give out?
HoYoverse hasn't released any figures. The official announcement mentions Polychromes and Boopons among the rewards, but without specifying amounts, tiers, or details per commission. Be wary of guides that quote a specific number: they're not pulling it from the official announcement.
Why do I need to come back every two or three days instead of doing everything on September 6th?
Because HoYoverse unlocks commissions progressively without publishing the exact schedule. If you wait until September 6th, you'll run into a wall of content to finish in a single day before the event closes at dawn on the 7th. The risk of leaving commissions unfinished (and thus missing out on "K's Illusory Rhythm") is huge.
Will the "K's Illusory Rhythm" accessory be recoverable after the event?
There's no indication of that. HoYoverse explicitly ties it to the event's commissions. If you don't finish them in time, you risk never obtaining it.
Do I also need to do "En-Nah's Gift Shower" before September 8th?
Yes, but it's less critical than the food truck. It requires seven cumulative days of login (not consecutive). That's comfortable until August 31st, but tight afterward. Start logging in today to stay on the safe side.

Key takeaways

  • The event closes on September 7th at 04:59 (Paris time), one day before the phase 2 signal search channels.
  • Commissions unlock day by day: coming back every two or three days is safer than planning one big final session.
  • Reaching Inter-Knot Level 20 and completing the Chapter 1 Interlude are mandatory and cannot be bypassed.
  • The "K's Illusory Rhythm" Bangboo accessory depends directly on the event's commissions, and will likely not be recoverable elsewhere.
  • Three other pieces of content running at the same time (En-Nah, On-Stage Audition, phase 2 channels) close on different dates, time zone traps included.
