Looking to boost your skills, revive your favorite Sim, or unlock items that are normally hidden in The Sims 4? This 2026 guide brings together all the cheat codes recognized by the game, with their exact syntax. Tested on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, they work just as well with the base game as with the expansions, kits, and packs released since 2014. Twelve years after its release, The Sims 4 remains a huge playground, and cheats are the essential tool for taking back control when real Sim life gets too finicky.

Activating the cheat console

Before entering any code, you need to open the console. The combination depends on the platform:

To target a specific bar, use fillmotive:

• fillmotive motive_hygiene — hygiene
• fillmotive motive_bladder — bladder

Adding or removing a moodlet

The sims.add_buff command instantly applies an emotion to your Sim. The Low variants give a mild boost (+1), while the High ones give an intense boost (+2) that lasts about 12 in-game hours:

To revive a Sim, simply replace equip_trait with remove_trait using the same argument. To fully disable death for the household: death.toggle false. As for aging, the aging.toggle_aging command stops or resumes the global aging counter, while Shift-clicking on the Sim brings up the "Trigger Aging" action to push them to the next life stage immediately.

Note: codes that rely on testingcheats disable EA App achievements for the current save. Make a separate save if you care about your Steam or EA trophies.

Unlocking hidden objects

• bb.showhiddenobjects — displays hidden objects from the catalog (type DEBUG in the search bar to filter them)
