Sandrone Genshin Impact: The Best Premium and Free-to-Play Teams

Sandrone is the very first character in Genshin Impact whose entire kit is built around the Superconduct reaction. At the time of her release, no fully 5★ composition yet exists to exploit this reaction to the fullest. The best current teams combine classic characters who have been reworked or who possess buffs specifically useful to the Superconduct reaction.

As a reminder, the Superconduct reaction triggers between Cryo and Electro. Since Sandrone is an on-field Cryo Claymore DPS, she needs at least one off-field Electro applicator to land her hits and keep the reaction going continuously.

Premium team: Sandrone + Yae Miko + Qiqi + Xilonen

This is the most optimized composition currently playable. Each slot has a precise role, and each synergy worth investing in fits together perfectly without redundancy.

• Sandrone: Main DPS, holds the field at all times and attempts to maintain the Superconduct reaction through her Cryo attacks.
• Yae Miko: Continuous off-field Electro application via her totems. She isn't meant to be on the field herself in order to fuel Sandrone's reactions, freeing up all the field time for her.
• Qiqi: Team sustain and offensive buffer. As long as her Elemental Skill is active, she increases the whole team's Superconduct reaction damage by 50%. This is where the bulk of Sandrone's DPS comes from, so this bonus is central.
• Xilonen (or Diona, Shenhe, Zhongli, Kazuha, Sucrose): the fourth slot is a support geared toward Cryo buffs or Cryo resistance reduction. Xilonen is a solid choice, but Kazuha or Sucrose can also reinforce the reactions if you don't own the 5★ options.

The rotation is straightforward: Yae Miko places her totems, Qiqi activates her skill, then Sandrone comes onto the field and chains her charged attacks with her setup's buffs active. The fourth slot option offers, depending on the character chosen, support for enemy weakening or reinforcement of elemental damage.

F2P composition: Sandrone + Beidou + Diona + Fischl

This one is made up entirely of free characters, aside from Sandrone. The synergy can work thanks to buffs targeted at the Superconduct reaction, along with an Electro application.

• Sandrone: Same on-field Cryo DPS role, but the main driver of the Superconduct reaction.
• Beidou: Dual utility - reduces enemy Cryo resistance by 15% while also granting 200 Elemental Mastery to the party. Her Elemental Skill has been reworked to improve energy generation, and its cooldown has been reduced, allowing her to use her Burst more consistently.
• Diona: She also adds 200 Elemental Mastery to the team, but what really stands out is her 40% Superconduct damage bonus. Combined with Beidou's resistance reduction, this creates a genuine offensive gain, even without a premium roster.
• Fischl: Reliable off-field Electro applicator - Oz allows for constant Electro application without occupying the field, letting Sandrone stay active and trigger the Superconduct reaction as often as possible.

Compared to the premium team, we thus lose Qiqi and some 5★ buffing, but the core mechanic doesn't change. Beidou + Diona together cover resistance reduction, Elemental Mastery, and damage bonus for the Superconduct reaction, largely making up for the absence of rare characters.

What to remember when building a team with Sandrone

Regardless of budget, two criteria are essential: an off-field Electro applicator and a buffer at least geared toward Superconduct. Without the off-field Electro applicator, Sandrone can't trigger her main reaction, and without a buffer, her damage stays below its potential. The fourth slot, however, is flexible: it can lean either toward sustain (Qiqi, Diona) or toward damage amplification (Shenhe, Xilonen, Kazuha) depending on your needs against the targeted content.
