Patrigio Crimson Desert: How to find this secret merchant
In brief
Patrigio is a traveling merchant who only comes out at night between midnight and 4 AM in Crimson Desert. To find him, you need to stay on the paved roads near Howling Hill Camp (chapter 3 minimum) and use the save-reload technique to optimize your chances.
In Crimson Desert, the merchant Patrigio isn't located in a fixed spot, he's a wanderer of the night roads. He has no pre-established path, which makes things a bit more complicated when it comes to finding him. This article will help you optimize your chances of running into Patrigio, and will give you an overview of what he sells.
How Patrigio works
You can only cross paths with Patrigio between midnight and 4:00 a.m.. So you'll need to plan a nighttime expedition to have a chance of crossing his route.
Tip
He only appears on paved roads and not in wild areas. To run into him, you'll absolutely need to stay on marked roads.
Patrigio's potential areas
Although his presence is tied to chance, several areas still allow you to encounter him more often:
- Howling Hill Camp: accessible in chapter 3 of the story, it's the most frequented spot by Patrigio.
- Kilnden Workshop: located west of the camp, you might also be able to cross paths with Patrigio there.
- Spring Mill: north of Howling Hill Camp, it can also be a spot where the merchant passes through.
Strategy to meet him
To have a better chance of running into Patrigio, you need to have reached at least chapter 3 or 4 and have unlocked Howling Hill Camp. Stay at this camp until 11:58 p.m., then save your game. At midnight, check if he's near the camp, and if he's not, reload your save.
Note
This method will let you avoid wasting too much time by working around the game's restrictions.
