NTE (Neverness to Everness) 1.3: date, codes, Zankou and Linko banners and all the content for August 19
In brief
NTE 1.3 "Rising from the Moonlit Fog" arrives on August 19 with two limited S-tier characters, Zankou and Linko, a new road-focused district and a summer packed with activities. First and foremost, grab the three redemption codes before Monday, August 10 at 5:59 PM Paris time, or they'll be lost for good.
The special program dedicated to version 1.3 of NTE: Neverness to Everness aired on Saturday, August 8 at 7:30 PM (UTC+8), i.e. 1:30 PM in Paris. Hotta Studio confirmed the key points there: the "Rising from the Moonlit Fog" update arrives on August 19, 2026 with two limited S-class characters, Zankou and Linko, a city district that had been closed until now, and a long series of summer activities spread out until the end of September.
But the most pressing deadline for you isn't August 19: it's Monday, August 10. The three codes distributed during the broadcast stop working at 11:59 PM (UTC+8), that is, at 5:59 PM Paris time. They're worth 300 Annulith and 22,000 Beetle Coins in total, and they can only be used once per account.
One clarification before getting into the details: the French-language news section of the official website hasn't posted anything since July 28. So no official French label exists yet for the 1.3 additions. We're leaving the names in their original version rather than offering an in-house translation.
The three codes expire Monday, August 10 at 5:59 PM
They're activated from the in-game exchange menu, and won't be recoverable afterward.
| Code | Content |
|---|---|
| FOGDENGAME | Annulith ×100, Rising Hunter Guide ×5, Light Dye ×5, Beetle Coin ×4,000 |
| EYEOFDELUSION | Annulith ×100, Senior Hunter Guide ×5, Colorless Dye ×5, Beetle Coin ×6,000 |
| SUMMERTIME | Annulith ×100, Guide du chasseur d'élite ×2, Teinture chaotique ×2, Beetle Coin ×12,000 |
Only two of these items have an official French label, noted in the version 1.2 patch notes: Guide du chasseur d'élite and Teinture chaotique. The others have never been publicly translated, hence their original names above.
What closes on August 18, what opens on August 19
Version 1.2 "999 Nights" ends on August 19 at 5:59 AM (UTC+8), i.e. August 18 at 11:59 PM in Paris. Calendar trap: the "Circle's Prime" pass closes six hours earlier, on August 18 at 11:59 PM (UTC+8) — so at 5:59 PM Paris time.
The timing of the August 19 maintenance hasn't been announced. For reference, the 1.2 maintenance ran from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM (UTC+8), i.e. from midnight to 5:00 AM in France — but wait for the official announcement.
Banners: Zankou and Nanally first, then Linko and Hotori
| Phase | Period (UTC+8) | Limited character banner | Rerun |
|---|---|---|---|
| Phase 1 | August 19 → September 9, 5:59 AM | Alluring Shadows (Zankou) | The Ichi-Daime (Nanally) |
| Phase 2 | September 9 → September 30, 5:59 AM | Surfing All Channels! (Linko) | Misty Tipsy Style (Hotori) |
In French time, phase 1 therefore ends on September 8 at 11:59 PM and phase 2 on September 29 at 11:59 PM. Each character arrives with their signature Arc: Ravenous Blade for Zankou, Voice of the Voyager for Linko.
The reminder that changes your calculations: according to the rules published in French by the publisher, all limited banners share the same guarantee counter for S-class characters, as well as the point gift and banner modification progressions. Without a featured S-class character after 70 pulls, the banner switches to modified mode with an increased rate, and the 90th pull grants it automatically. Pulls spent on Nanally in phase 1 therefore aren't wasted if you're aiming for Linko in phase 2.
On the free side, the login event “Circle's Gifts” returns and will hand out 10 Solid Dice once 1.3 goes live, following the same model as version 1.2.
Zankou: two states, DoTs, and invisibility in town

Zankou is an Incantation-type character, whose Esper ability, Eye of Delusion, resides in her right eye. Her kit is built around a switch between two states, Reality and Illusion, triggered by her redirect skill.
- Reality: a five-hit basic attack chain, a heavy attack, and a passive damage bonus.
- Illusion: a shortened four-hit chain, the basic attack held down, damage spread over time to nearby targets, and a critical damage bonus on those same DoTs. The state is time-limited, and everything Zankou does within it counts as a follow-up attack.
Her post-dodge counter deals extra Break damage. Her ultimate, Inferno Flamenco, is triggered with two presses and unlocks an enhanced version if the redirect skill is synced with the Illusion state — which forces her to stay in the field rather than dip in and out. Her burn effect stacks and interacts with DoTs already applied, putting her on the same playing field as Baicang.
Two points of context. Her open-world trait makes her invisible to enemies, including during the Pink Paws Heist. And the studio has warned that the “real” Zankou isn't available in 1.3: what you'll be spending time with is her ghost, which behaves differently. Gifts, vehicle rides, training duels, and bond progression are all still possible, but she won't appear in the streets of Hethereau. Obtaining her unlocks her Red Nightshade outfit.
Linko: a DTE-6 who flies and plays for the team
Linko is an Anima type character and her signature Arc is Plasma category. She works for the Anomaly Control Bureau and travels with Xiaozhen, a ghost companion she willingly treats as a pet.
Her most visible trait is her mobility: synchronized with Xiaozhen, she propels herself and then glides, a slingshot mechanic with no equivalent in the current roster. In combat, her kit is entirely team-oriented:
- a Modulation gauge that fills up by striking enemies;
- a mark placed on targets: when an ally hits a marked target, Linko triggers a synchronized strike;
- a redirection skill that lets her explicitly choose the teammate with whom to perform this strike, consuming the accumulated Modulation;
- an ultimate, Oversync, which synchronizes her with up to three teammates and ends with an area explosion whose damage increases with the number of debuffs on the targets. During this window, damage from allied support skills counts as follow-up attacks;
- a brand-new passive, Hexed, which causes affected targets to take increased follow-up attack damage.
Her move-in and her vehicle stroll are available starting with 1.3, which is not the case for Zankou.
Duskmoor and Fogden: driving on one side, arc conclusion on the other
Duskmoor is the new city district, under construction since our arrival in Hethereau and finally open. It's an area designed for driving: a long highway loop, mountain landscapes, dense vegetation leaning toward forest camping, new racing circuits, and a real beach. A nice touch: you can collect oracle stones without getting out of your vehicle.
Fogden is the other geographical addition, tied to the storyline. The chapter Rising from the Moonlit Fog concludes the first major narrative arc there, that of the Scarlet Letter, with the return of Chaos, Thyme, and the rest of the Eibon antique shop crew.
The summer activity calendar

| Activity | Period |
|---|---|
| Volley Star | August 19 → September 30 |
| Surf Breaker | August 19 → September 30 |
| Hunter's Crucible | August 19 → September 30 |
| Stamina Recharge | August 24 → 31 |
| Beyond the Rails | August 27 → September 10 |
| Shipwreck Salvage | August 28 → September 30 |
| Gold Clash | August 31 → September 14 |
| Runaway Echoes | September 9 → 30 |
| Pixel Surge | September 14 → 21 |
| Breezy Tour | September 17 → 30 |
| Fons Rush | September 21 → 28 |
Volley Star is the most structured of the bunch, and above all a permanent activity. It's a weekly 2-vs-2 tournament against the AI, single elimination: a single defeat knocks you out of the bracket, and your performance determines your Fons reward. Each character has five dedicated stats — smash, pass, receive, block, defense — which can be pushed beyond the normal cap with a specific consumable. Taking part costs Urban Stamina.
Shipwreck Salvage makes use of jet skis: you aim with a harpoon to recover cargo from shipwrecks, and only what you bring back to shore is converted into rewards — since fuel is limited, the vehicle can be upgraded. Surf Breaker is the racing counterpart, with several difficulty levels and times to beat. Hunter's Crucible adds challenge tiers against Mammon and Morphix, and Brick by Brick joins the Hethereau Hobbies: construction sites, forklifts, and dump trucks, to be funded with your weekly Fons.
Vehicles, housing, and quality-of-life features
The Tide, the game's first watercraft, is a red jet ski capable of jumping obstacles — bad news, it comes through the Mystery Box, alongside the summer outfits for the Specialist, Menthe, and Nanally. The Sirocco, an off-road buggy, can on the other hand be bought directly with Fons, and the Yesteryear is a tandem bike arriving in phase 2 for the Breezy Tour event.
On the housing side, Stillmeadow is finally a home that isn't a mansion. Located in the Miguel district, it comes with a cultivable plot of land whose produce can be sold for Fons via Urban Stamina, following the same model as fishing.
On the comfort side, outfits can now be randomly drawn upon login or scene change, lighting has been reworked, and the interface can be hidden. Above all, “Once, twice… sold!” and “Shadow hide-and-seek,” previously temporary, are becoming permanent.
What remains uncertain
Three gray areas. The time of the August 19 maintenance has not been announced. The type of Zankou's Arc is subject to conflicting reports between English-language recaps published after the broadcast: don't base your gearing plan on it before the official patch notes. And no French wording has been published for the new locations, activities, and banners.
Concretely, between now and Monday evening: activate the three codes, complete the Circle Bounty before August 18 at 5:59 p.m. Paris time, and let your Dice rest. With a pity counter shared across all limited banners and six weeks of content announced between August 19 and September 30, spending pulls in the final days of version 1.2 no longer holds much appeal.
