Moonlight Peaks: the 2026 romance guide — winning over every suitor
In brief
Moonlight Peaks features 23 romances to woo, each with its own preferences, exclusive dates and attached quests. This guide breaks down the order to follow, the winning gifts and the major pitfalls — most notably the Ambrosia crisis that shakes up the entire playthrough if you court two members of the same clan.
When Dutch studio Little Chicken Game Company launched Moonlight Peaks on July 6, 2026, the promise was crystal clear: play as Dracula's disgruntled heir, who slammed the door on the family castle to open a farm in a small supernatural town and find — maybe — true love. Two weeks later, the question echoing across every official Discord channel is no longer "how do I harvest moonfruit?" but rather "so, who are we marrying?". This guide methodically compiles what the community has dissected since launch: the verified list of 23 suitors, their favorite gifts, their exclusive date activities, and the best order to follow so as not to break anything on the main quest side.

Romance in Moonlight Peaks: how it works
Vampiric courtship unfolds in three very classic phases. First you build up regular friendship to unlock personality scenes, then you move on to dating (each character offers their own signature ritual activity), and finally you can consider the Night Collar, the game's homegrown equivalent of a sacred marriage. Three levers make hearts climb: talking to your intended at least once a day, giving up to two liked gifts per week (plus one extra gift on their birthday, which counts eightfold), and completing their daily chores (the jobs posted on their notice board). An exclusive romance automatically cuts off other ongoing prospects — so there's no officially sanctioned polyamory in the game — but nothing stops you from juggling several as long as no relationship has been made official through the ritual.
The 23 suitors of Moonlight Peaks: the full map
The community has confirmed 23 romances among the roughly thirty named NPCs in town. Here's the complete list, sorted by family and species, with an exact note on "non-romanceable close contacts" — this matters, since two very popular forum favorites, Snek and Yabbis, are not romanceable despite their charisma.
| Species / Clan | Romanceable suitors | Non-romanceable NPCs |
|---|---|---|
| Vampires — the Ambrosia family | Elvira, Samael, Mina, Evan, Orlock | — |
| Witches — the Webb family & allies | Fiona, Noel, Sabrina, Luna Aranea, Alina Khazan, Winston, Persephone | — |
| Werewolves — the Logan family | Ridge, Ludo, Saga | Brook, Balthasar |
| Mermaids — the Hosu family | Kim, Rei, Tae | — |
| Khazan (hunters) | Aras, Dragan | — |
| Other supernaturals | Jada, Death, Llemi (love demon) | Moon Goddess, Sun God, Pumpkin Head, Skull Girl, Viktor |
| Traveling merchants | — | Snek (shopkeeper), Yabbis (junk-trading toad) |
Important note: Snek runs a general store and Yabbis, officially described as "the haiku-spitting junk-trading toad," buys back anything you bring him from the dark caves. Neither one opens a romantic date scene — the game doesn't list them in the dedicated courtship journal either. They remain excellent regular economic allies, but absolutely not hearts to seriously pursue.
The Ambrosia clan: the red line of every romance playthrough
Five characters, one shared family crest, and an entire narrative arc — The Ambrosia Crisis — which opens up once you've built enough romantic hearts with two members of the clan. This is truly the dramatic knot of Moonlight Peaks, and it structures the whole summer season. Orlock Elosius Ambrosia has ruled the household for centuries, his children Mina and Evan run the Coffee & Coffins café at the heart of the Town Center, and his nephew and niece Elvira and Samael navigate between filial obedience and extended teenage rebellion. Pursuing two Ambrosia romances in parallel makes the crisis more explosive — this is entirely intentional on the writers' part, but make sure you've wrapped up The Dinner Party before touching it, or you risk missing two crucial personality scenes.

Elvira Ambrosia: the electric vampire
Species: vampire — Birthday: Spring 24 — Pronouns: she/her — Unique date: Marshmallow Roasting. Elvira is the town's "lightning rod for ideas," the one who launches a new project the moment the last one wraps up, much to the dismay of her uncle Orlock, who'd prefer she keep a lower profile. Her brother Samael is the only one who sees her artistic streak.
- Loved gifts: all milkshakes (Strawberry, Chocolate, Blueberry topping the list), Red Rose, Diamond, Gold Bar, Serious Hat.
- Liked gifts: wardrobe clothing (skirts, dresses, coats, tops), Black Azalea, Purple Kthonia, Red Lavender, purple tulips.
- To avoid: trash, seeds, shells and clams — like almost every Ambrosia.
- Her jobs: bring her the Elvira's Little Book (7 days, 500 coins) then a Blueberry Milkshake (12 days, 550 coins). Take both as soon as they appear.
Elvira's key romance quest is Treasure Hunt, her clue hunt that takes the player from the Broken Lamp to the Ambrosia cemetery, through Webb of Wonders, the Cave of Echoes, and the Khazan temple. Completing the hunt unlocks an exclusive heart scene and the Raiders of the Lost Art achievement.
Mina Ambrosia: the anchor of Coffee & Coffins
Species: vampire — Birthday: Summer 16 — Unique date: Flower Arranging. Orlock's daughter, Evan's sister, Mina is described as "cheerful and resilient": she keeps the café's spirits up while her sibling handles the "coffins" side of the shop.
- Loved gifts: all pink flowers, Diamond.
- Liked gifts: clothing, white, black, red, blue and purple flowers, kthonias, Yellow Rose, Yellow Tulips.
- Absolutely avoid: wines, beers, seeds, shells, clams. Unlike her uncle, Mina steers clear of alcohol.
Handy tip: the café opens from 8 PM to 1 AM, right in the middle of vampire play hours. That's the ideal window to catch her right after a gift and follow up with a conversation.
Evan Ambrosia: the aloof romantic
Species: vampire — Birthday: Autumn 25 — Pronouns: they/them — Unique date: Stargazing. Evan is Mina's introverted counterpart, more interested in the stars than in the counter. Orlock's pressure to take over the family legacy is at the heart of their arc.
- Loved gifts: all coffees (Cappuccino, Iced, Irish, Mana, Mocha, Pumpkin Spice Latte), Black Tulips, Diamond.
- Liked gifts: Black Azalea, Black Plumeria, Black Rose, Rose Quartz, kthonias, most flowers.
- To banish: any form of alcohol — the first vampire in the cast to hate wine. Be careful with Orlock nearby.

Luna Aranea: the garden witch
Species: witch — Birthday: Summer 19 — Residence: Moonlit Pines — Unique date: Flower Arranging. A distant cousin of Fiona, Noel and Sabrina, Luna runs both the flower-arranging stall and the seed shop: reaching out to her early in the year locks in your seed supply for the entire first spring.
- Loved gifts: flowers of every color, kthonias, Yellow Rose, Yellow Tulips, Diamond, Golden Egg, Basic Fertilizer.
- Liked gifts: Strawberry.
- Signature trait: her bio plainly states "all she wants is someone to share her cozy, perfect life with" — this is the least convoluted romance in the cast, ideal for a first playthrough.
- Her entry-level job: deliver 1 Volacio Spores in 7 days for 135 coins.
Llemi, the love demon: romance or trap?
Species: Love Demon — Unique date: TBA. Llemi doesn't live in Moonlight Peaks: he comes from the Pink Grove and only appears during the Loveage Festival, celebrated on Spring 20-21. This pastel Sagittarius "guides the hearts" of the town, feeds on the surrounding drama, and poses the player the central question of the romance chapter: can Llemi love?
- Loved gifts: Diamond, Pink Plumeria.
- Liked gifts: Red Wine, White Tulips, Raspberry, Blood Grape Jam.
- Hated: Skully.
- Approach window: during Loveage, pick him as one of your three "secret admirers" on Saturday, and the exchange happens on Sunday. This is currently the only confirmed window to progress with him.
The community warns: Llemi literally feeds on the emotions of nearby couples, so it's common to see him show up in Persephone's or Mina's personality scenes. If you're aiming for the Night Collar with Llemi, keep an openly ongoing secondary romance to feed his scenes.
The rest of the cast: the gifts that open doors
For the other 17 suitors, here's the quick rundown of the loved gifts worth memorizing first. Universally, everyone loves Diamond and Golden Egg, except Death and Brook — but Brook isn't romanceable anyway, which simplifies things to remember.

| Aras Khazan | Hunter | Autumn 8 | Soups (Angry, Chilly, Mushroom, Sunburst) | TBA |
| Dragan Khazan | Hunter | Spring 28 | Void Cupcake, Void Maki, Moon Crystal | TBA |
| Jada Henderson | Human "in the know" | Winter 1 | Coffees, mana foods, yellow and pink flowers | TBA |
| Death | Reaper | — | Glühwein, trash, Bloody Mana Mary | TBA |

Romance quests: what actually exists (and what doesn't yet)
A point of order, because rumors travel fast on French-speaking forums. Three quests genuinely revolve around romance at launch:
- Treasure Hunt — Elvira's clue hunt, five letters hidden between the Broken Lamp, the Ambrosia cemetery, Webb of Wonders, the Cave of Echoes, and the Khazan temple.
- The Dinner Party — an invitation to the Ambrosias, a prerequisite often forgotten before starting an Elvira or Evan romance arc.
- The Mermaid's Wish — a marriage arc between Samael and Kim if you haven't courted them: it's the only NPC marriage you can actually witness live in the current version.
On the other hand, neither the "Wings of the Night" quest nor an "Elvira's Pub Quiz" appear in the 1.0 quest database: the rumors about them, widely shared on Reddit, are not confirmed by Little Chicken. More to follow with the next content patch.
Our recommended approach order
Two approaches coexist depending on your goal. For a beginner playthrough aiming to see as many scenes as possible without ever blocking a main quest, we recommend this sequence:
- Luna Aranea (Summer 19) — ultra-affordable gifts from the very first spring, she sells the very seeds she loves, an ideal loop.
- Mina Ambrosia (Summer 16) — access to Coffee & Coffins, easy daily contact, opens up the family's scenes without triggering The Ambrosia Crisis.
- Elvira Ambrosia (Spring 24) — follow up with the Treasure Hunt once The Dinner Party is completed.
- Llemi (Spring 20-21) — use the Loveage Festival to kick off his storyline without draining your play time.
- Evan Ambrosia (Autumn 25) — to close out the family triangle, once the crisis is unlocked.
For a completionist playthrough chasing romance achievements, the rule changes: prioritize universal gifts (Diamond, Golden Egg) restocked weekly across all 23 characters, complete every weekly job, and don't make any romance official until you've seen at least two personality scenes with each. The Night Collar then goes to the final target.
What to remember
Moonlight Peaks largely delivers on its promise of a gothic romantic life-sim: 23 genuine suitors, a central Ambrosia clan that structures the entire first year, a love demon who spices up the whole spring, and a perfect flower witch as a gentle first crush. Ignore the false leads Snek and Yabbis — they'll remain your best weekly merchants, never your sworn future spouses. Jot down the signature gifts somewhere in your memory, mark down your priority birthdays precisely (Spring 24, Summer 16, Summer 19, Autumn 25, Winter 19), and let it play out: the fairytale town knows exactly where it's taking you. See you at the next narrative update to check whether "Wings of the Night" will actually be added to the chapter list.
