In brief

Moonlight Peaks is packed with romanceable NPCs, and gifts are the key to building your relationships. This guide lists every character's preferences, from the best offerings to the pitfalls you absolutely must avoid — essential for not wasting your daily opportunities.

Moonlight Peaks drops you into a supernatural town populated by werewolves, vampires, witches and other creatures of the night - and to build bonds with them, gifts are your best lever. The relationship system is available right from the start of the game, with no prerequisites: talk to the residents, give gifts, and repeat the process. Some characters are also romanceable, and with around twenty candidates in total, optimizing your gifts makes a real difference.

Note

The guide below is a work in progress across the seasons. Several best gifts have yet to be confirmed for certain NPCs.

The joy of giving

Each character reacts differently to your offerings. There are three main categories: loved gifts (maximum relationship gain), neutral gifts (slight progress or no notable effect), and hated gifts (zero or even negative gain). A failed gift is a wasted daily opportunity - gifts can only be given once a day per NPC. Hence the usefulness of this guide, worth keeping close at hand.

A few items keep coming up in the "good" or "neutral" columns: the Purple Tulip is almost universally liked. The Common Mushroom, on the other hand, is hated by nearly everyone. Avoid it systematically.

Items to always keep on hand

  • Purple Tulip - works on almost everyone, except Noel. Grow it in bulk.
  • Blood Grape - a good gift for a large majority of NPCs.
  • Purple Azalea - a solid complement to the Tulip to diversify without too much risk.

Items to ban from your gift inventory

  • Common Mushroom - universally hated. Never give it to anyone, ever.
  • Pink Conch Shell - bad for Samael, Elvira, Ridge, Aras. Best avoided by default.
  • Onion Seeds - hated by Samael, Orlock, Sabrina, Fiona, Aras. Keep them for the farm, not for relationships.
  • Copper Bar / Copper Ore - bad for Evan, Elvira, Saga, Mina. It's not a gift, it's a resource.

The guide will be updated across the seasons as the optimal gifts for the still-unconfirmed NPCs are verified in-game.
