Ghost of Yotei: the platinum guide — 62 trophies, none missable, and why only 3% of players reach 100%
In brief
Ghost of Yōtei features 62 trophies, but only 54 count toward the platinum: zero missable, only one playthrough required, no difficulty restrictions. The gap between the 66% who reach platinum and the 3% who hit 100% is explained by Legends, the online mode where Kaibyaku (gold) blocks only 4.09% of players. The Complete Edition, launching October 1, 2026, will add new trophies: all the more reason to finish the list beforehand.
Out of the 5,965 players recorded in French territory by PSTHC, 3,922 have unlocked the platinum for Ghost of Yōtei, or 66%. Only 182, or 3%, display 100%. Sixty-three points apart, and yet: it's good news. Most of this gap comes down to a single trophy, Kaibyaku, earned by 4.09% of players — and which doesn't count toward the platinum.
The PSN list shows 62 trophies (1 platinum, 3 gold, 10 silver, 48 bronze), in three blocks: the base game (54), New Game + (2) and the Legends DLC (6). Only the 54 base game trophies count toward the platinum, Legendary Onryō ("Obtain all trophies.", 65.73%). The PSTHC guide is unequivocal on the three points that raise concern before diving in: zero missable trophies, a single playthrough, no difficulty requirement.
A deadline, finally: the Complete Edition releases on October 1, 2026 with, as Sony has confirmed, new trophies for Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted. Completing the list before that date means avoiding an extra addition.
Neither Legends nor New Game + count toward the platinum
The PSN separates three lists: 54 trophies for the base game, 2 for New Game +, 6 for the Legends DLC. The online trophy count confirms this: PSTHC lists 6 out of the 62 total, exactly the 6 from Legends, and PSTHC's platinum guide states "Number of online trophies: 0".
Fair caveat: PowerPyx suggests that Legends trophies do count, which contradicts the list structure shown by PSTHC, psnprofiles and exophase. We're following PSTHC, aligned with the France region.
No missable trophies: Ezo remains open once Atsu's hunt is finished
The PSTHC guide states "Number of missable trophies: 0" and puts it this way: "No trophy can be missed! It's possible to roam the plains of Ezo at will, even after finishing the main story." No need to sweep everything up before some supposed point of no return: finish the campaign, then clean up the map.
Same logic on the difficulty side: no base game trophy is tied to it. The only one requiring a specific setting is found in Legends, Relentless Ghosts ("Complete a survival mission on Gold difficulty or higher.").
A note on methodology: 27 of the 62 trophies are hidden, with no description published by Sony. For those, the condition quoted here comes from PSTHC; the labels remain the official French strings.
Between 50 and 70 hours and a difficulty of 3 or 4 out of 10, depending on the source
Estimates vary, and there's no reason to favor one over another:
| Source | Estimated duration | Difficulty |
|---|---|---|
| PSTHC (platinum guide) | 65 h | 4/10 |
| ActuGaming | 50 to 70 h | 3/10 |
| PowerPyx (Legends mode only) | — | 6/10, up to 9/10 for Kaibyaku |
The PSTHC guide, based on version 1.009, hasn't needed updating since November 19, 2025.
The lowest silver trophy is called Body and Mind (68.40%)
The rates recorded on PSTHC (French players registered on the site, not Sony statistics) point to the trophies where people get stuck:
| Trophy | Official Condition | Rate |
|---|---|---|
| Body and Mind (silver) | Complete all bamboo training, shrine climbs, and hot springs. | 68.40% |
| Budding Artist (bronze) | Complete all sumi-e paintings. | 66.84% |
| Cunning as a Fox (bronze) | Solve all Nine-Tails puzzles. | 67.01% |
| Communion with Nature (bronze) | Bow or play the shamisen at 10 special locations across Ezo. | 67.24% |
| Inari's Keeper (bronze) | Receive the fox mask after completing all fox dens. | 67.75% |
| Mistress of Bounties (gold) | Complete all bounty contracts. | 69.47% |
| For Every Occasion (silver) | Obtain all armor. | 71.11% |
| For the Living (silver) | Clear Ezo of all Yōtei Six camps. | 71.74% |
It's collection, not combat, that decides the platinum; our guides from August 10 and 11 already cover the locations. Conversely, A Moment of Reflection only requires "Find 30 reflection shrines," even though the map holds 53: the counter stops at 30, so there's no need to collect them all. At 79.25%, it's the most-earned silver in the base game.
The three weapon paths are settled in the dojos, apart from the campaign
Three silvers reward weapon masters:
- The Way of the Yari — "Help Takahashi-sensei defend his dojo." (81.07%)
- The Way of the Ōdachi — "Help Master Yoshida defend his dojo during the final battle." (79.09%)
- The Way of the Kusarigama — "Help Master Enomoto confront his grandson." (76.31%)
From 98.63% to 74.89%: one in four players drops the campaign along the way
The story-progression bronzes, one per Yōtei Six target, trace the drop-off curve: The Snake 98.63%, The Oni 82.46%, The Kitsune 78.24%, The Dragon 75.02%, The Spider 74.89%. The gold Onryō's Rest ("Find the future that awaits you after the hunt.") caps at 74.45%. The difficulty of the platinum isn't in the execution, it's in staying the course.
The two New Game+ trophies require a second campaign
This DLC list, excluding the platinum, comes down to two entries: Rare and Exceptional Goods — "Buy a piece of armor, a charm, or a cosmetic item from Masujiro the Melodious in New Game+." (10.95%) — and Mō Ichido — "Complete Atsu's hunt in New Game+." (7.49%). Silver or bronze: the sources don't specify.
The six Legends trophies are online, and the player pool won't grow any further
The list responsible for the gap between 66% and 3%:
- Kaibyaku (gold) — "Complete raid missions." — 4.09%
- Versatile Ghost — "Reach rank 25 with all classes." — 4.31%
- Relentless Ghosts — "Complete a survival mission on Gold difficulty or higher." — 5.87%
- Training Complete — "Reach rank 25 with a class." — 6.19%
- Vengeance Accomplished — "Complete all four incursion missions." — 7.16%
- Tale of Vengeance — "Complete all story missions." — 7.24%
Sucker Punch confirmed in May 2026 that the Raid, which opened on April 10, 2026 with patch 1.600, was its last major update for Legends: the mode remains online, but the player pool for a four-player raid will no longer grow. Note that the Ghost of Yōtei: Legends "Kaibyaku" Gold Trophy Pin (PlayStation Rewards Europe, €25.87) requires the platinum... gold trophy before April 30, 2027.

On October 1, the trophy list grows: what we know and what we don't
The Complete Edition launches October 1, 2026 (October 2 in Asia and Oceania), on PS5 only, for €79.99 — or a €14.99 upgrade, alongside patch v.2.0. Sony has confirmed new trophies for the two brand-new modes, but no number, no list, no French wording has been published to date.
The October 1 update is free for all existing owners of the game: the Beauty of Yōtei mode, transmogrification, and high-contrast accessibility. Be warned: the French PlayStation Blog post still carries outdated information: the English version was corrected on August 14, 2026 to clarify that the new Watanabe mode tracks are part of the free patch and are not exclusive to the Complete Edition. The English version is the authoritative one.
On the patch front, the game is stable: no official patch notes since 1.602 on April 24, 2026. Several sites have mentioned a 1.604 update of over 30 GB supposedly rolled out on August 13, but Sucker Punch has published nothing on the matter: none of it is confirmed.
Three dates, then: September 30, 2026 to pre-order and unlock the Sakai armor early, October 1, 2026 for the new trophies, and April 30, 2027 for the Kaibyaku pin. Until then, six and a half weeks to secure a platinum that two out of three players already have.
