Genshin Impact: three outfit events at the Millennial Paradisia, and the horror missions close on August 31, not September 4

In brief

Three outfit events populate the Millennial Paradisia during Genshin Impact's version 7.0, but watch out for the dates: the spooky missions actually close on August 31, not September 4, and the weekly quotas don't stack up. Every week without playing means rewards lost forever.

The Millennial Paradisia is the social space in Genshin Impact where you play not as a character from Teyvat but as a Mannequin, available as Manekin and Manekina, which must first be awakened. Three events in version 7.0 hand out outfits there, and two of them display an end date that isn't the date to actually keep in mind.

The most pressing one is called "Spooky Summer Adventures". It ends on September 4, 2026 at 3:59 AM, Europe server time (4:59 AM Paris time), but its mission completion period closes five days earlier, on August 31 at 3:59 AM. After that, no more progress is possible: all that's left is to claim what's already been earned.

The other two run longer — "Paradisia Treasure: Phantasmal Discourse" until September 22 at 2:59 PM and "Outfit Collection: Soothing Warmth" until September 23 at 5:59 AM, also server time — but their rewards are capped weekly. That's the real constraint with this trio, and it makes waiting costly.

"Spooky Summer Adventures": the date that matters is August 31

The event started on August 17, 2026 at 12:00 PM Europe server time (1:00 PM Paris time). Its overall duration ends on September 4 at 3:59 AM, but the mission completion period closes as early as August 31 at 3:59 AM: the remaining four days are only for claiming rewards. Entry requirement, here as with the outfit collection: having awakened your Mannequin.

How it works can be summed up in one line: you accumulate expedition knowledge by completing spooky quests, and the number of rewards these quests grant is limited each week. Once a certain total is reached, you get the limited-time headwear "Spook-tacular Hat", plus Recreation Geodes, Prismatic Crystals, poses, and expressions.

An honest note: the announcement doesn't specify this threshold in numbers, placing it in an image instead. We won't make one up — HoYoverse points to the in-game panel, where the required total appears above the progress bar.

"Outfit Collection: Soothing Warmth": the set choice is final

This event runs from the version 7.0 update until September 23, 2026 at 5:59 AM Europe server time, or 6:59 AM Paris time. It also requires an awakened Mannequin.

You earn precious impressions and Recreation Geodes by completing precious quests. Same limitation as with the spooky event: the number of rewards obtainable this way is capped weekly. Once your total precious impressions cross a certain amount — also not specified in numbers — you get the "Amber Nectar" set.

Then comes the real trap, which isn't flagged in bold letters. As long as you haven't claimed any item from the set, you can freely choose among the available set rewards; but as soon as you claim a first one, the choice becomes final and can no longer be changed. So don't click on a piece out of curiosity: open the full list, decide, then claim it.

A consolation for anyone who misses the deadline: the set will return to the Millennial Star shop for a limited time after version 7.0 ends.

"Treasure of Paradisia: Phantasmal Speech": a hidden effect on the second acquisition

This is the "odes" part of the system. It's been running since 7.0 and ends on September 22, 2026 at 2:59 PM Europe server time, or 3:59 PM Paris time: the only one of the four deadlines that falls in the middle of the day.

The list is short: an exclusive Legendary (5-star) outfit set, "Fantastical Spectacle", and three Elite (4-star) sets: "Azure Mountain", "Detective's Verdict", and "Twilight Phantom". Three ways to obtain them coexist: the event odes "Phantasmal Speech", the "Phantasmagoria" Chronicles, and the Millennial Star shop.

The detail that the announcement buries in the middle of a paragraph deserves to be highlighted: obtaining "Fantastical Spectacle" for the second time, for either Manekin or Manekina, unlocks its ascended effect "Fantastical Spectacle: Sugar Tower". It counts regardless of the source: the odes, the shop, or gifts. So receiving the set as a gift after having already obtained it triggers the effect without spending a single extra Chronocrystal.

One last point, often overlooked because it looks like a footnote: playing Millennial Star Paradisia's popular levels with a new outfit set or a new trial cape rewards 60 Primogems.

The Millennial Star shop: what disappears on September 21

Two schedules overlap here. The sets remain available for three consecutive versions after 7.0, but the limited-time promotion ends on September 21, 2026 at 3:59 AM Europe server time (4:59 AM Paris time). You'll still be able to buy them afterward, but neither at the same price nor in the same form.

The catalog includes 4 Elite (4-star) sets and 4 Exceptional (3-star) sets, each purchasable only once. Four themes: "Lazy Summer", "Fun in the Sun", and "Card War" in both Manekin and Manekina versions; then "Cloud Journey" for Manekin, "Cloud Flight" for Manekina.

This last theme indeed has two different names: these aren't typos, but the official French labels. The announcement arranges these eight sets into two columns whose breakdown can't be read outside the game: check the rarity label in the shop before paying.

PurchaseDuring the promotionAfter September 21
An elite set (4-star)Chronocrystal ×960Chronocrystal ×1,200
An exceptional set (3-star)Chronocrystal ×160Chronocrystal ×200
Elite bundle Manekin + ManekinaChronocrystal ×1,440No longer exists
Exceptional bundle Manekin + ManekinaChronocrystal ×240No longer exists

Individually, the promotion saves 240 Chronocrystals on an elite set and 40 on an exceptional one, that is 20% in both cases.

The bundles are even more advantageous, and they're the ones disappearing: they only exist during the promotion. The elite bundle at ×1,440 works out to 720 per Mannequin, which is 480 less than two separate purchases during the promotion and 960 less than at full price. The exceptional bundle at ×240 drops to 120 per Mannequin, compared to 320 and 400.

The game plan: waiting until the last week costs you rewards

Here's the central piece of advice from this guide, drawn from a line repeated in both announcements: the number of rewards available each week is limited. Unused quotas don't carry over — every week without playing is a share of rewards lost.

Let's translate that into dates. HoYoverse aligns its weekly cycles to Monday at 4:00 a.m. server time, as indicated by the wording of another event from the same batch. Now, the spooky quest period runs from Monday, August 17 to Monday, August 31: it covers exactly two weekly cycles.

Immediate consequence, today Thursday, August 20: you're in the first cycle and you have four days left to use up its quota, until Monday, August 24 at 3:59 AM server time. Putting everything off to "the last week" amounts to playing on just one quota — half the potential becomes out of reach.

For the clothing collection, the margin is more comfortable: between 7.0 on August 12 and the end on September 23, the event spans six Monday resets. A player who hasn't done anything yet has already missed a full quota.

The pace to keep up doesn't require long sessions:

  1. Awaken your Mannequin: this is the access condition for both quest events.
  2. Clear the horror quest quota before Monday, August 24, 3:59 AM server time.
  3. Clear the precious quest quota in the same session.
  4. Check the "Amber Nectar" set list before reaching the threshold, never after.
  5. Switch to a popular level with a new outfit or a trial cape: Primogems ×60.
  6. Decide before September 21 whether you're getting a Manekin + Manekina bundle.

Summary of the four deadlines

Only one row carries two dates, and it's the one that closes first. If you only remember one thing: on August 31 at 3:59 AM server time, the spine-chilling quests stop giving rewards.

Which Millennial Paradisia outfit are you claiming first?

Frequently asked questions

What's the real deadline for the spooky missions?
August 31, 2026 at 3:59 AM Europe server time. The event itself runs until September 4, but the mission completion period closes five days earlier — after that date, you can only claim what you've already earned.
Do reward quotas stack up if I don't play for a week?
No, absolutely not. Each week can only generate its quota during its Monday-to-Sunday window. Lost days mean rewards lost forever, for both quest-based events.
Can I change my mind about the Amber Nectar set after claiming it?
No. As soon as you claim the first item from the set, the choice becomes final and locked in. Open the full list before clicking on anything, otherwise you'll be stuck.
Why do the Millennial Shop bundles disappear after September 21?
The limited-time promotion ends on September 21 at 3:59 AM. You'll still be able to buy the sets individually afterward, but neither the bundles (2 Mannequins together) nor the discounted prices will be available — expect a 20% markup.
Do you really need to have awakened your Mannequin to take part?
Yes, for the quest-based events. It's a non-negotiable entry requirement for the spooky missions and the outfit collection. Whimsical Spectacle and the shop don't require it, but you'll obviously want access to the quests.

Key takeaways

  • The spooky missions end on August 31 at 3:59 AM, not September 4: waiting until the last week costs you half the rewards.
  • Reward quotas reset every Monday and don't accumulate — lost days mean permanently forgotten earnings.
  • For the outfit collection, the first set you claim locks in your choice for good: check the full list before clicking on anything.
  • The second copy of Whimsical Spectacle (5-star) unlocks its ascended effect, whether it comes from odes, the shop, or a gift.
  • The Millennial Shop's pricing promotion ends on September 21: afterward, sets cost 20% more and the bundles disappear completely.
