Arlecchino Rerun: Release Date, Is She Still Meta, Build & Teams
In brief
Arlecchino returns in phase 1 of version 7.0 (August 12 - September 1, 2026), facing off against Odette, the new Cryo swordswoman. The Knave remains a reliable and accessible Pyro carry, but doesn't interact with any of the recently introduced astral reactions: you really need to love her gameplay or lack a main DPS to justify pulling.
On August 12, Genshin Impact version 7.0 doesn't just bring Snezhnaya: it also reopens Arlecchino's banner. The Fourth Fatui Harbinger returns in phase 1, from August 12 to September 1, 2026, alongside Odette's very first run. And the question is already spreading across every server: does the Knave still deserve your Intertwined Fates in 2026?
The answer is far from obvious. Since her arrival in 4.6, the meta has shifted significantly: 6.7 introduced Astro Conduction (Cryo + Electro), 7.0 adds Astro Dispersion (Anemo + Cryo), and these astral reactions are reshaping the top of the DPS rankings. Arlecchino, meanwhile, remains a purely Pyro character: she interacts with neither reaction. That said, writing her off would be a mistake — few characters have aged as well against two years of power creep.
Here's our full verdict: what the banner offers, what the Knave is really worth in the August 2026 meta, her reference build with the labels from the French client, her best teams, and a quick reminder of the farming to finish before the 12th.
What phase 1 of 7.0 offers
The first wave of banners for "The Merciless Eternal Winter" runs from August 12 to September 1. It lines up two 5★ characters in parallel: Odette, a new Cryo swordswoman designed for astral teams, and the rerun of Arlecchino, a Pyro polearm user. Both banners share the same featured 4★, Alyosha, an Electro spearman — who the game also gives out for free through the 7.0 Archon Quest. Pulling on these banners is therefore mainly useful for raising constellations.
Phase 2, from September 1 to 22, will be dedicated to the reruns of Flins and Ineffa. And if you're still hesitating over the current banner, a useful reminder: the double rerun of Columbina and Raiden Shogun ends on August 11 with the close of 6.7.
Arlecchino in 2026: still worth pulling?
What works against her
The first issue is structural: Arlecchino is a Pyro carry, and Pyro takes part in neither Astro Conduction nor Astro Dispersion. Teams built around astral reactions — the ones currently dominating the leaderboards — have no use for her. The Knave therefore benefits from none of the mechanics introduced over the past year, whereas Odette, featured on the same phase, is precisely designed as the pivot of the new reaction. For a player optimizing every Primogem, the direct competition between the two banners tips in favor of the newcomer.
Second point: Arlecchino dates back to April 2024. She's no longer in the game's top 5 DPS, and 7.0 brings her no new weapon, no new set, and no fresh synergy.
What works for her
Still, "no longer top 5" doesn't mean obsolete. Arlecchino remains one of the most reliable on-field DPS characters in the game: massive damage concentrated in normal attacks, immediate ease of use, no dependence on demanding energy recharge. All current content — the Spiral Abyss, the Imaginarium Theater, exploring Snezhnaya — can be comfortably cleared with her at C0 and a good polearm.
Her teams are also remarkably accessible: Bennett, Xingqiu, or Sucrose are enough to make her work, and her farming route is entirely covered in Fontaine. Finally, end-game modes now require two competent half-teams: even if your astral teams take the first slot, a second self-sufficient carry like the Knave remains a very concrete luxury.
Our verdict
- Pull if you don't have a proven main DPS yet, if you missed her since 4.6, or if her aggressive gameplay appeals to you: she'll stay relevant for a long time.
- Skip if you're aiming for the 7.0 meta: Odette and the upcoming Snezhnaya stellar characters will make better use of your Primogems.
- Wait a few days if you're on the fence: the banner runs until September 1st, giving you plenty of time to test Vital Escalation with the free Cryo Traveler before deciding.
The Knave's gameplay in brief
Arlecchino's entire mechanic revolves around Vital Escalation — that's the term used in the English client, the famous red bar that overlays HP and absorbs any healing received. Where this mechanic hinders anyone else, Arlecchino turns it to her advantage: when she carries Vital Escalation exceeding 30% of her max HP, she enters the Mask of Red Death state, her attacks become Pyro-infused, and her Normal Attacks consume this escalation to hit all the harder the higher it is.
Her Charged Attack and her Elemental Burst, Ascension of the Lunar Rite, are used to absorb the marks placed by her Skill in order to replenish this escalation — and incidentally to heal her, which is convenient, since the Knave can barely be healed by her teammates. Hence the particular value of shield providers in her teams.

The reference build
Weapons
- Crimson Moon's Semblance (5★): her signature weapon, tailored for Vital Escalation, unbeatable.
- Staff of Homa (5★): the eternally reliable choice for polearm users, an excellent alternative.
- Verdict (5★): the versatile polearm, very good performance across her long Normal Attack sequences.
- Crescent Pike (4★): the best accessible option, its crit stats compensate for a tight budget.
Artifacts and stats
One set dominates: Fragment of Harmonic Whimsy in 4 pieces. The 2-piece bonus grants 18% ATK; the 4-piece bonus grants 18% additional damage for 6 seconds every time Vital Escalation changes, stackable 3 times — essentially permanent on Arlecchino, whose escalation fluctuates with every attack.
- Sands: ATK%
- Goblet: Pyro DMG Bonus
- Circlet: CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG
End-game build targets: around 2,000 ATK, 70 to 80% CRIT Rate, and at least 180% CRIT DMG. Elemental Mastery is a nice bonus in reaction-based teams, but never a priority.
The best teams in August 2026
Vaporize, the reliable choice
Arlecchino + Yelan + Bennett + Zhongli or Xilonen. Yelan applies Hydro from range for repeated Vaporize reactions, Bennett provides his massive ATK bonus and the Pyro resonance, and the last slot is a choice between the absolute safety of Zhongli's shield and Xilonen's extended resistance reduction, valuable against waves of enemies. Budget version: replace Yelan with Xingqiu and the fourth slot with Sucrose.
Melt with Citlali
Arlecchino + Citlali + Bennett + Kazuha or Sucrose. Citlali has become her best Fusion partner: her off-field Cryo application is the most durable in the game, and her shield solves the healing problem. Anemo in the fourth slot disperses Cryo or Pyro to further amplify the Knave's damage.
And with the new additions from Snezhnaya?
Nothing to report, and that's really the crux of the matter: neither Odette nor Alyosha create any particular synergy with Arlecchino, and the astral reactions ignore her. Her best teams in 2026 remain those from 2024-2025 — proven, affordable, but with no room for growth tied to the new content.
Farming to wrap up before August 12
If you plan to pull for her as soon as the banner opens, all her materials can be farmed right now:
- Agnidus Agate (Pyro gemstone);
- 168 Rainbow Roses, Fontaine's local specialty — plan on two harvesting rotations with regrowth;
- 46 Fragments of a Golden Melody, the boss material;
- the Fatui insignias (recruit, sergeant, lieutenant) from enemy patrols;
- the "Order" series talent books, available on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, plus Crowns of Insight for the final levels.
Our Snezhnaya preparation guide published on August 4 details the complete farming routes, Original Resin included.
The right call before pulling
Arlecchino's rerun is neither a trap nor a can't-miss deal: it's the reasonable purchase of a proven DPS, at the exact moment the game shifts toward a new reaction system. Make the most of the three-week banner: explore Snezhnograd, play the Cryo Traveler, see if the astral gameplay speaks to you. If it leaves you cold — pun intended — the Knave remains, two years after her release, one of the safest investments in the gacha.
