How to find a lion

Head to the Laughing Marionette in Demeniss to find the lion. It is located between the "M" and the second "E" of Demeniss. It is often found sitting near circus tents, surrounded by NPCs interacting with it.

Once near the lion, you can mount it. To do so, interact with it (Square/X) to climb onto its back. No struggle to worry about in this case (unlike other wild mounts such as the bear).

Note

In the wild, the lion is a rare animal, and if you do happen to find one, it will be hostile. It's only in the Crimson Desert region that you can encounter one.

Mounted lion characteristics

The lion is very fast, making it a highly effective means of transport in the desert, but its stamina reserve is low, so you need to limit your speed sessions. You cannot command the lion to attack (unfortunately...), but while riding it, you can use your weapons.

If the lion happens to die, the only way to find another one is to wait for it to respawn next to the Marionette. This can take several in-game weeks…
