In Crimson Desert, the newly introduced legendary companion that's got everyone talking is the Iron Eagle. This article will reveal the steps to follow to get your hands on this impressive mechanical bird.

Step 1: Gather mercury

To tame the Iron Eagle, you first need mercury, the only food that will allow you to earn this bird's trust.

Here are a few spots to find Mercury:

  • Silver Wolf Mountain: To the north of this region, just above the letter "W" on your map.
  • Hexe Sanctuary: To the north of this area, near Deadfire Mountain. Be careful, an enemy may block the path to this resource.

When you reach a mercury deposit, you need to be careful because the liquid can hurt you. You'll need to use an arrow charged with the ice element. By freezing part of the mercury, you can shatter it into pieces.

Note

You'll need at least 20 pieces to earn the Iron Eagle's trust.

Step 2: Go to Hawkstone Ruins

Once you have enough mercury, head east to Hawkstone Ruins. It's just above the letter "A" of Deleysia. Once there, you'll see a sculpture with gears and a metallic bird. To summon the Iron Eagle, you must interact with the sculpture at 4:45 AM, in-game time. So you'll need to wait a bit.

Step 3: Summon and tame the Iron Eagle

A short scene will show the Iron Eagle presenting itself to you. After the scene, place the Sotdae near the sculpture, and add the mercury to attract the Eagle. Once the Iron Eagle has landed, you'll be able to finalize the taming.

Note

You need enough mercury to meet the bird's dietary needs. The Iron Eagle has a trust meter that must reach 100%.
