Crimson Desert Fast Travel: Everything You Need to Know
In brief
Crimson Desert offers a fast travel system based on two key elements: Abyssal Nexuses and Abyssal Cressets, scattered across the world to allow you instant travel. By exploring the areas and solving puzzles, you unlock these waypoints and save time on your journeys.
In the vastness of Crimson Desert, getting from one point to another can quickly become a complicated task. However, the game gives you access to a fast travel system to drastically reduce your travel times. Let's see how to make the most of this system.
So how does fast travel work in Crimson Desert?
Fast travel relies on two main elements: Abyssal Nexuses and Abyssal Cressets. These are fast travel points scattered throughout the world and usable for instant round trips, provided you are not engaged in combat or performing any other action.
The Abyssal Nexuses
These are stone platforms that you encounter right from the start of the game.
For these Nexuses to become accessible, you need to stand on the pressure circle at the center. Once a Nexus is activated, it appears on the map.
Notes
There is no other way to activate these Nexuses than to explore the surrounding areas. They are often placed in accessible locations, and there is no financial cost involved. Also, by selecting the Environment tab on your map, the fast travel icons become visible, which makes getting around easier.
The Abyssal Cressets
Abyssal Cressets are most often located at the heart of Ancient Ruins. Solving puzzles will be essential to activate a cresset and benefit from this type of portal. Once the cresset is activated, in addition to granting you a fast travel Nexus, it will also give you an Abyssal Artifact that will allow you to improve certain skills.
Also, to make the best use of the fast travel system, you need to know where these waypoints are located. It is therefore important to pay attention to areas of mysterious energy, often indicated by white zones with a question mark.
