Big Walk Backpacks and Fanny Packs: All Locations

At the start of Big Walk, you and your buddies only have your hands and feet to carry items - literally, you carry them or kick them across the map. That works fine for the drawbridge puzzle in the tutorial area, but as soon as you set foot on the rest of the island, it quickly becomes a logistical nightmare. Fortunately, ten bags are hidden across the map to make your life easier.

Backpacks and fanny packs do the same job: once attached to a group member, they let you carry an item hands-free. The only notable difference is storage size. The backpack can hold pretty much any item, including large puzzle pieces. The fanny pack, on the other hand, is limited to small items - the map, typically, once you've found it.

Each location only contains one bag. That means your group has to agree on who carries what, and one player has to physically attach the bag onto another for it to work. Once equipped, the bag visually appears on the character. Good news: they respawn at your spawn point every new session, so you won't have to redo the entire scavenger hunt each time you play.

How to spot the locations on the map

Look for a large blue structure that resembles a spool from a distance. On the map, it's represented by a blue circle attached to a rectangle indicating the entrance. Locating the building on the map is one thing, physically reaching it is another - expect some climbing and swimming depending on the area.

The six backpacks

• Yellow - From the red drawbridge that opens access to the rest of the island, climb the mountain right in front of you, using the orange platform as a landmark. From the structure, you'll spot the yellow spiral puzzle linked to the Yellow Tower to the south, on the beach.
• Light blue - Head due east from the yellow bag, across a river, then climb up the opposite side of the mountain. You'll come across several Yellow Tower puzzles along the way.
• Orange - South of the green structure visible on the map, in the northeastern section of the island, along the east beach.
• Blue - Spottable on the map even after leaving the starting area, use it as a landmark. This bag is located north of the building where you start each game, on the other side of the mountain range that enclosed you during the tutorial. You'll see part of the Red Tower puzzle from this spot.
• Pink - In a building in the southern area of the island, south of the mountains where the light blue bag is located. The easiest route: swim from beach to beach starting from the Yellow Tower spiral puzzle.
• Red - On a high-altitude mountainous area, on the southern face of the mountains, in the southernmost section of the island. Almost due east of the pink bag, but at a very different elevation.

The four fanny packs

• Yellow - North of the Yellow Tower, on a cliff overlooking it, almost due east of the light blue backpack.
• Orange - In the northeastern section of the map, not far from the orange backpack. From the latter, follow the green structure on the map westward: you'll find another blue building with this pack, just east of the rocky cliffs leading to the mountains.
• Green - On a mountainous area east of the starting area on the map, south of the large oval Red Tower puzzle.
• Purple - Once you've finished the Yellow Tower, by following the tunnels between the towers, you'll come across a purple door that leads to this pack.

A small detail worth noting: there's one final area, in the southeastern corner of the island, that contains both a backpack and a fanny pack. That's where the red backpack is located - the light blue fanny pack shares the same building.

As for trophies, equipping your first backpack unlocks the Big Pack achievement. Your first fanny pack, meanwhile, unlocks Big Help. Two free trophies as long as you know where to look - which you now do.
