In brief

The Forgotten Relics quest in Windrose guides you through the Ancient Marshes all the way to the final battle against the High Priestess. You must track down John Doe, collect the four Senkamati Tablets, and recover the Enchanted Ritual Dagger to face the quest's end boss.

In Windrose, the Forgotten Relics quest brings you closer to completing the current version available in early access, and helps you progress through the Ancient Marshes biome. So let's get acquainted with the different steps to follow in order to complete this quest.

The Forgotten Relics quest

First of all, the first thing to do will be to find John Doe who is at your camp since he was rescued from his precarious situation. After talking with him, you'll learn more about the Obols of Charon, which you must deliver as precious items. This John will assign you the mission of finding all these item variants.

First, talk with John, then head to the priestess's chamber on your map; after defeating a few enemies you'll be able to interact with the recently obtained clay tablet, which will allow you to go back and see John to offer him your discovery.

Analyzing the tablet and searching

John will analyze the tablet, which contains incomplete information; he'll ask you to go find the four Senkamati tablets, whose location varies from playthrough to playthrough; it's up to you to discover them yourself.

Note

Some tablets are found in the Contaminated Forest, where a contamination meter appears. If the meter fills up completely, you will die. Be reactive and strategic in your search!

Once you've recovered the tablets, follow the quest markers to reach a ritual site in the Ancient Ruins. This place is occupied by formidable enemies, so be prepared to face them.

Discovering the altar and finishing the quest

At the site, you'll find an altar, which you examine more closely to learn more about the statue. You will then have the opportunity to recover the Enchanted Ritual Dagger.

Your final step takes you to the priestess's resting place, where you must interact with a cursed plant using the Enchanted Ritual Dagger, which will lead you into battle against the High Priestess, a true boss who, even though she may impress with her strength, has slowness as her weakness.
