Striker Sprite Fortnite Runners: How to Get It and What It Does
In brief
The Striker Sprite is a new Sprite obtained by scoring a goal at the Soccer Pitch POI during Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3. Once extracted, it grants the overdrive effect, which significantly improves the player's mobility by activating unlimited stamina, speed, and jump height during specific movements.
The Striker Sprite is one of five new Sprites that appeared during the first major update of Fortnite, Chapter 7 Season 3, on June 25. It can be obtained right from the start of the match, with no progression required, but the dedicated POI is expected to be hotly contested early in the season. Expect around ten minutes if you go alone, much longer if, as anticipated, it turns into chaos.
Where to go: the Soccer Pitch POI
The Soccer Pitch POI is at the far west of Sunken Shores. It's the only place where the Striker Sprite can spawn, no other option at this stage. Expect to run into plenty of players, especially early in the season!

How to spawn the Striker Sprite and keep it
Once you're in the right spot, all you need to do is shoot with a soccer ball and score a goal. The Striker Sprite will automatically appear after the goal. No eliminations to rack up, no items to buy, just score.
After picking up the Sprite on the field, you need to extract it to turn it into a real permanent asset. You have two options:
- Extraction point: Head to a regular extraction point while carrying the Sprite.
- Portable extractor: Use one on the spot if you have one in your inventory.
Once the Striker Sprite is extracted, it's yours for good. If you ever lose it in a future match, you'll be able to resummon it by spending Sprite Dust.
Note
The exact cost has not yet been officially announced at the time this guide was written.

What the Striker Sprite does: the surdrive effect
The Striker Sprite is particularly well suited to players looking to optimize their mobility. When equipped, it triggers the surdrive effect every time you perform a mantle, a hurdle, or a wall scramble. During this effect, you get several benefits:
- Unlimited stamina
- Increased movement speed
- Improved jump height
Although the duration is limited, this effect is very useful for quick repositioning or escapes across vertical terrain.
Striker Sprite progression: surdrive duration by level
At level 1, the surdrive effect lasts 6 seconds by default. As you level up the Sprite, this duration increases:
- Level 1: 6 seconds
- Level 2: 7 seconds
- Level 3: 8 seconds
- Level 4: 9 seconds
- Level 5: 10 seconds
