In brief

Bliss Bay has changed dramatically since the 2025 guides: a playable high school, new shops, and the mini-map turned into a full GPS. This comprehensive guide lists all 14 buildable lots with exact prices, the real opening hours of shops and restaurants, the map's hidden zones, and the three options that transform the way you explore this Californian Santa Monica with its palm trees and amusement park pier.

Bliss Bay is, along with Dowon, one of the two cities available from launch in inZOI's early access, and paradoxically the least well documented in French: the main French-language guides devoted to it date back to March 2025 and stop at "it's Santa Monica, there's a beach and an amusement park." Nearly a year and a half and a long series of major updates later, the map has shifted — a playable high school, a clothing store, a hair salon, a minimap turned into a GPS — and it's become useful to go back over the city area by area.

This guide is based on version v0.9.6, the patch released on July 30, 2026, which remains the current version as of August 9. The big August update still has no date: in his weekly update on August 7, Kjun, the game's director, acknowledged that the ongoing list of improvements might push it back. Everything that follows is therefore playable right now, with nothing to wait for.

On the menu: the 14 residential lots with their exact prices, the actual opening hours of businesses, the spot the map refuses to display, the eight buildings in which your Zois disappear without you being able to follow them, and the three options that radically change the way you get around the city.

Bliss Bay at a glance

Bliss Bay is one of inZOI's three cities, alongside Dowon (inspired by Seoul) and Cahaya. Where Dowon is vertical, dense, and Korean down to its street food alleys, Bliss Bay spreads out horizontally: palm-lined boulevards, a waterfront, residential neighborhoods, and a pier home to a full amusement park.

Concretely, the city has 14 residential lots and around thirty public and commercial lots. Public transportation runs on buses, compared to the subway in Dowon. And above all, Bliss Bay has its own signatures: surfing at Muscle Beach, a football career within the local Bliss Bay Nautilus club where Dowon focuses on pro gaming and the K-pop industry, a skate park, and a permanent fair set up on the pier.

Where to settle down: Bliss Bay's 14 addresses

Choosing a lot shapes your entire playthrough, because the displayed value corresponds to the purchase price in Miaous and the gaps are enormous: from 5,000 for a bare plot to over 336,000 for the waterfront villa.

AddressDimensionsValue (Meows)Occupants
3140 Greenway Street38.5 × 20 m5,000Empty lot
2008 Oakridge Drive38 × 20 m10,000Empty lot

203 Somerset Place26 × 30 m215,344Empty house
Lumiere19.5 × 38.5 m227,854Empty house
19 Beachfront Drive35 × 25 m336,036Abbott family

Three practical takeaways. First, the two cheapest empty lots (3140 Greenway Street and 2008 Oakridge Drive) remain among the most generous in terms of size: this is the best starting point for anyone who wants to build rather than inherit an imposed layout. Second, 8 Beachfront Drive is an anomaly: 40,000 Meows for a tiny empty plot, justified only by its location on the southern stretch of the waterfront. Finally, the apartments (Heaven Hill, City Nest, Ocean Bliss) are the quickest way to get started downtown, with City Nest being close to both shops and the beach.

One translation pitfall deserves mention. Krafton's French patch notes, produced via machine translation, Frenchify some of these addresses: "3140 rue de la Voie Verte," "203 Place de Somerset," and "8 Allée du Front de mer" actually refer to 3140 Greenway Street, 203 Somerset Place, and 8 Beachfront Drive. These are precisely the three lots that received the European countryside-style housing preset in the v0.8.0 update on April 29, 2026.

The waterfront: Muscle Beach, surfing, and sports

The ocean-facing side is divided into four sections: North Beach, Central Beach, South Beach, and Muscle Beach. The first three offer access to swimming and fishing. The fourth is the most interesting one, and it's also the one that causes problems.

Muscle Beach doesn't appear on the map. That makes fast travel there impossible. The trick to remember: teleport to the Beach Volleyball Court, then walk over to the nearby fenced enclosure. There you'll find the outdoor gym — weight benches, pull-up bars — as well as an adjacent basketball court.

This is also where surfing takes place, available in Bliss Bay since early access. Two conditions apply: your Zoi must have reached level 3 in Fitness, and the board they interact with must be placed close enough to the water. If the surf option doesn't appear, it's not a bug: simply switch to another board, closer to the shore. Practicing posture and paddling on the board itself raises Fitness, which creates a fairly comfortable progression loop.

The rest of the coastline rounds out the picture: a beach volleyball court open to everyone, a Skate Park, a Beach Playground for kids, and Sunset Bay with its telescope, cotton candy and hot dog stands, and fishing spots. Clover Park, further inland, offers animals to feed, spring-loaded rides, and a second basketball court.

Shops and hours: what closes, and when

A good portion of ruined evenings in Bliss Bay comes down to not knowing the opening hours. Here are the time slots worth remembering.

LocationHoursMain appeal
Bliss Bay Amusement Park9 a.m. – 8 p.m.Rides, roller coasters, pirate ship, food stands
Cafe Mar8 a.m. – 10 p.m.Dining, darts, paintings to admire
Golden Apple Burger8 a.m. – 10 p.m.Fast food and part-time jobs
Nook's Select Shop8 a.m. – 10 p.m.Trying on and buying outfits, appearance customization
Lumiere Art Gallery8 a.m. – 10 p.m.Analyzing artworks, leveling up the Art skill
Oracle Fortune Teller8 a.m. – 10 p.m.Daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly horoscopes, plus love horoscope
Elegance Hotel & Lounge8 a.m. – 10 p.m.Dates and meeting people
Mackenzie Furniture Store8 a.m. – midnightFurniture
Posey's Surf Shop8 a.m. – midnightSurf gear, socializing
Southwest Bank8 a.m. – 4 p.m., weekdaysThe narrowest time slot in town

A useful detail: the entrance to the amusement park is accessible at all times, but the rides themselves only run between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. No point taking a date there after dinner. Conversely, Liberty Square has no operating hours at all: it's the ideal spot to wind down an evening, between the flea market, instruments to practice (electric guitar, synthesizer, microphone), and a basketball hoop.

Bliss Bay's eight black boxes

A good number of the city's buildings work "off-screen": your Zoi walks in, disappears, and comes back out later. Spotting them ahead of time saves you from wasting time looking for a door that will never open.

  • Bliss Bay City Hall — administrative procedures and cultural events
  • Bliss Bay High Court — the city's courthouse
  • Bliss Bay Panacea Hospital — the only one on the list offering concrete activities, including volunteering and blood donation
  • Plutus Financial — investment seminars and stock market simulations
  • Lumiere Hall — cultural complex and contests
  • Paraiso Tours — travel agency
  • Hope Sharing Foundation — charity volunteering
  • Green Planet — environmental activism

Also on this list are PNN America and the Lifelong Learning Center – Bliss Bay Campus, which follow the same logic. At this stage of early access, these buildings remain largely decorative: the hospital is the only one to have gained real interactions so far, since v0.3.0.

Getting around town: GPS, first-person view, and advanced driving

The v0.9.0 update on June 19, 2026 quietly changed the way you get around Bliss Bay, and this is where the city really shows its value, since it's much more spread out than Dowon.

  • The minimap acts as a GPS once a destination is set, and shows the Zoi's orientation. You can rotate it based on that orientation via Game Options > Controls > Interface Settings.
  • First-person view remains experimental: it's activated by entering the code FirstPersonMode true, then pressing [Tab]. A walk along the pier at sunset alone justifies the trouble.
  • Advanced driving mode, also experimental, adds a handbrake, roll, suspension management, anti-roll, and mid-air control for cars, motorcycles, and scooters. Combined with the four vehicle ramps added to Build Mode, it turns the large waterfront parking lots into a playground.
  • The radial menu is displayed with the ['] key and can be customized by pressing [Tab] once it's open.

Another change that matters for a family settled in Bliss Bay: since v0.9.0, a car owned by one Zoi can be driven by other members of the household, and doing a U-turn while driving is finally possible.

Working and studying locally

The employers physically based in Bliss Bay give the city its character: the amusement park, the Bliss Bay Nautilus football club, the Bliss Bay Times newspaper, Bliss Bay University, the Blue Moon Soft studio, not to mention the small jobs at Posey's Surf Shop, Golden Apple Burger, and Mackenzie Furniture Store.

On the education side, the city has had its own playable high school since v0.9.0, Bliss Bay Public School. Be careful: each active high school has a limited capacity. Once it's full, teenage Zois are automatically sent to an off-screen high school. To force a specific teenager's enrollment at the Bliss Bay school, go through the transfer request in the phone's school app: grades already earned are kept.

Finally, if you want to run a business locally, the two most recent activities fit perfectly with the beachside vibe: the hair salon, which arrived with v0.8.0, and the clothing store, added in v0.9.0, where you set up mannequins to sell outfit sets to other Zois.

An efficient first week in Bliss Bay

Here's a sequence that works if you're starting the city today. Buy 3140 Greenway Street for 5,000 Miaous to keep some building budget in reserve, rather than a ready-made house that you'll have to renovate anyway. Then send your Zoi to Muscle Beach as early as day two: the outdoor gym is free, quickly raises Fitness, and unlocks surfing at level 3. Head to Southwest Bank before 4 p.m. on weekdays, as it's the only banking window in town. Save Liberty Square and Sunset Bay for evenings, since nothing there closes.

One last scheduling note: on August 7, Krafton opened a player survey about the Career and High School updates, available until August 16 at 11:59 p.m. UTC. If you have an opinion on high school capacity or salary balancing, this is the window to make it heard before the August update is locked in.

Frequently asked questions

What's the most affordable lot to start out in Bliss Bay?
3140 Greenway Street at 5,000 Simoleons remains the cheapest, with a generous 38.5 × 20 m plot. If you'd rather have a move-in-ready spot close to shops, City Nest Apartment at 39,567 Simoleons is the fastest way to get started downtown.
How do you get to Muscle Beach if it's not on the map?
Teleport to Beach Volleyball Court, then walk over to the fenced enclosure next door. There you'll find the outdoor gym and the surfboards, provided your Zoi is at Fitness level 3.
What time does the Bliss Bay amusement park close?
The park entrance is accessible at all times, but the rides themselves only run between 9 AM and 8 PM. Bringing a date there after dinner will be a letdown.
Which shops are open until midnight?
Mackenzie Furniture Store and Posey's Surf Shop close at midnight, making them the latest-open in town. All other shops close by 10 PM at the latest, except Southwest Bank, which closes at 4 PM.
Why do some buildings display as off-screen?
Eight buildings in Bliss Bay (city hall, courthouse, hospital, bank, cultural hall, high school, museum, stadium) offer no visible interaction: your Zoi walks in and disappears. That's normal, no need to look for a door that will never open.

Key takeaways

  • The two cheapest empty lots (3140 Greenway Street and 2008 Oakridge Drive) offer the best plots for building without inheriting a preset layout.
  • Muscle Beach doesn't appear on the map: you need to teleport via Beach Volleyball Court to access it and surf.
  • Southwest Bank closes at 4 PM on weekdays, the narrowest window in town: worth remembering so you don't miss your transactions.
  • Eight buildings work off-screen (city hall, courthouse, hospital, event hall): no point waiting at the door.
