In brief

Rockstar is tripling GTA$ and RP earnings on the nine Community Series missions until August 12, 2026. Two new summer missions refuse to start solo, and all this content remains exclusive to PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. It's the only x3 multiplier of the week, the best time/reward ratio for young or cash-strapped accounts.

Since August 6, the biggest multiplier of the week in GTA Online isn't sitting on a heist or a business sale: it's on player-created missions. Rockstar is tripling GTA$ and RP earnings on Community Mission Trials until Wednesday, August 12, 2026 inclusive, with the weekly switch happening on the morning of Thursday the 13th. It's the only x3 of the week, everything else is capped at double.

Nine missions are featured in the selection as of August 10, including two new ones from this summer: A Kick in the Wallet, which arrived on July 30, and Escape The City, added last Thursday. One detail that spoils a lot of sessions: these two refuse to start in solo, unlike the other seven.

Second point to check before organizing your evening: all of this content is exclusive to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and enhanced PC versions. On PS4, Xbox One, and legacy PC, the community tab still exists, but it only offers stunt races, deathmatches, and king of the hill — no missions.

Where to launch community missions

The exact path in the French client is as follows: pause menu → Online → Jobs → Play Job → Rockstar Created Jobs. Missions are mixed in there with the races and combat modes selected by Rockstar; look for the "mission" thumbnail, other entries don't get the triple bonus this week.

Second access, faster when you're already in freemode: the pink halo planted on Legion Square, a stone's throw from the Vanilla Unicorn. Walk through it and the community selection menu opens directly, without going through the submenus.

These missions can be played in private sessions as well as public sessions, and nothing requires you to own a business, a submarine, or a villa: these are standalone scenarios, with weapons and vehicles provided on site. That's exactly what makes it the best multiplier of the week for a young or broke account.

The nine missions on the schedule until August 12

Seven of them come from the April and June waves, two were born with the "Summer Heists" event. Here's what each one actually requires, because the in-game descriptions remain deliberately cryptic.

MissionCreatorPlayersWhat awaits you
Old School HitsTAXALEX (GTA Series Videos)1 to 4Three consecutive contracts paying tribute to the original trilogy: sniper fire from a rooftop on Saltatore Lepre, hunting down Bert "Four Iron" Raymond at the LS Golf Club, then Littlepenny at the Bilingsgate Motel. Finale on Grove Street, with wanted stars to shake off.
Detective StoryBooCooSocial1 to 4Old-school investigation: tailing a suspect across the city, classic cars and investigation mini-games. Starts in an office of the Pacific Standard Public Deposit Bank.
JuggernightmareDaniel1 to 4The most punishing one. Nighttime infiltration around the Kortz Center: alerting a single Juggernaut fails the mission throughout the entire first phase. Hacking a relay, a hedge maze, then escorting IAA agents by Buzzard to the Sandy Shores airfield.
Los Santos 2062ShelbyGR (Santa Muerte Gang crew)1 to 4Los Santos reimagined in virtual reality, sci-fi style. Extracting informant Zoe Stratton, wiping her criminal record, then rescuing Doctor Algonquin held by the Lost MC.
Paleto Bay SlasherShadow-Break1 to 4You play an LSPD officer on the trail of a serial killer. Gathering clues at the Altruist camp, handing over evidence to the FIB analyst, a race against time to reach the victim before the killer. Insurgent or FIB Granger provided at the sheriff's station.
Running the GauntletSarah-Croft1 to 4Epsilon ascension trial on a platform above Paleto Forest: dodging Gauntlets thrown at full speed and flare gun shots, grabbing stone hatchets, then clearing out believers and heretics. Kifflom.
The Scrumble HeistSergeantDexter1 to 4The shortest, and therefore the most profitable per hour: hacking the Fleeca door in Alta, loading the loot, shaking off the police in an underground parking lot full of decoy vehicles, delivering to the buyer.
A Kick in the WalletII_TREIZIEME_II2 to 4Coordinated sabotage of Epsilon propaganda, split into two teams with distinct objectives.
Escape The CityZibulaatio2 to 6Desperate flight from the FIB, recovering three cash stashes, escaping from the Mission Row police station and taking off for Vice City.

If you're looking for the best time-to-reward ratio, alternate between The Scrumble Heist and Running the Gauntlet: the first wraps up in a few minutes, and the second has no scripted fail condition, which makes it comfortable even with a poorly equipped character.

The two summer newcomers: bring a partner

A Kick in the Wallet splits two teams onto parallel routes starting from a parking lot near San Andreas University, in Richman. Team 1 climbs onto the rooftops of Burton to take down Epsilon followers with sniper fire; Team 2 crashes a presentation at the Vinewood Hills dog park to destroy a Super Diamond there. Both teams then meet up at the Puerto Del Sol Yacht Club, head up the canals by Dinghy to the yacht — one hacks a laptop, the other grabs a warehouse badge — then switch to a Buzzard toward Elysian Island. Finale in a Dozer against the Super Diamonds at Pier 400 on one side, with a gas can on the leaflet crates on the other.

Escape The City starts with an FIB raid on Miguel Madrazo's villa in Vinewood Hills. You wait for the negotiator to approach, take down the federal team, then flee in a Turismo Classic to three successive safehouses — the crew's villa on Milton Road, a second one at 3667 Wild Oats Drive, and finally a garage on Meteor Street opposite the Vinewood Plaza Hotel. At each stop, one player collects while the others cover — that's where the mission falls apart if nobody defends the collector. Next it's off to Mission Row police station to open the cells and the back gate, then the airport, where a Nimbus is waiting on the runway. The credits roll once everyone's aboard, heading for Vice City.

What the triple payout really nets you — and the GTA$500,000 trap

Let's be honest about something a lot of guides gloss over: Rockstar doesn't publish any pay scale for community missions. The reward depends on duration, number of objectives, and actual time spent — it's not a flat fee like on a standard contact mission. So be wary of any article that quotes you an exact amount per mission: nobody has documented that seriously.

On the other hand, one piece of information is still circulating even though it's outdated: the GTA$500,000 bonus for completing the entire selection. It did exist, but only during the June event, across two separate windows (June 4–10, then June 11–17), when the multiplier was x4. That bonus is not active this week: you'll only get triple rewards on each mission played. Don't line up a nine-mission session counting on it.

To put the x3 in context for the week: the "Cayo Perico Raid" versus mode and the "On My Yacht" missions only get double, and the weekly challenge (survive three waves of Cayo Perico Survival) remains a flat GTA$100,000. Community missions are therefore the only x3 tap available until Thursday.

Creating your own mission: GTA$10,000,000 up for grabs

The other half of the story is the tool feeding this selection. The Rockstar Mission Creator arrived in December 2025 with the "A Hideout Above" update, and Community Mission Challenges launched on April 30, 2026 with Old School Hits. In other words: all nine missions this week were built by players, using tools you have access to.

You get to it via pause menu → Online → Rockstar Activity Creator → Create a Mission, after accepting the community rules. The editor allows chained and conditional objectives, adjustable NPC behavior, scenarios for up to eight players, and, notably, access to locations normally locked in free mode: the flight deck of the USS Luxington aircraft carrier, the Cluckin' Bell factory, certain banks.

Five tutorial missions signed by Rockstar serve as a crash course, playable from the activities tab and then able to be opened in the editor to break down their mechanics: "Mission Creator Content I - Secure and Deliver", "II - Retrieve and Neutralize", "III - Stealth Extraction", "IV - Like the Back of Your Hand" and "V - Multiple Choice". The fourth is the most instructive if you're aiming for a two-team creation, like A Kick in the Wallet.

There's still the carrot, and it's a big one: an activity selected by Rockstar for the Community Trials earns its creator a one-time payout of GTA$10,000,000, the "Rockstar Community Trials" teddy jacket, and a trophy to display in their Prize Luxury villa. To maximize your chances, tag your mission with #communityseries when publishing it, and share it on the official Rockstar Games Discord — the #job-sharing channel for distribution, #creator-tools for technical advice.

Where to start if you only have two evenings left

The schedule is tight: the window closes on Thursday, August 13th in the morning, when the weekly update will replace the selection. The most efficient approach is to tackle the two multiplayer missions first, while you still have people online — Escape The City and A Kick in the Wallet may disappear from rotation as early as Thursday, whereas the other seven have been running since June and have already come back around several times. Save The Scrumble Heist and Running the Gauntlet for your late-night solo sessions: short, with no gear requirements, they handle the triple nicely.

And if the urge to build your own strikes you, don't aim for the two-hour epic. The nine missions selected so far are all short, clear-cut formats, with one strong idea and three or four steps. That's clearly what Rockstar is rewarding.

What's your strategy for farming the x3 on the Community Series missions?

Frequently asked questions

Why won't my Community Series missions start solo?
A Kick in the Wallet and Escape The City are designed for multiple teams: they refuse to launch with just one player. The other seven missions work perfectly fine in solo.
My game runs on PS4 or Xbox One. Can I play the Community Series missions?
No, this content is exclusive to the PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Enhanced PC versions. On older generations, the Community tab only shows races, deathmatches and king of the hill.
Exactly how much does each mission pay out with the x3?
Rockstar doesn't publish any official scale: rewards depend on duration, the number of objectives and the time actually invested. Be wary of guides that announce precise figures without a source.
Is the 500,000 GTA$ bonus active this week?
No, this bonus only works during specific events like the one in June. This week, you'll only get the x3 per mission, with no extra bonus for completing everything.
How do I quickly access the Community Series missions in-game?
The fastest route: walk through the pink corona placed on Legion Square near the Vanilla Unicorn. Otherwise, pause menu → Online → Jobs → Play Job → Community Jobs.
