Fortnite Spirits: reaching max level in a single match

Leveling up a Spirit to mastery rank (level 5) is one of the key objectives of Chapter 7 Season 3. The problem: it's long, and getting eliminated by an opponent can halt your progress mid-match. The method below lets you chain masteries at a serious pace — its author went from 15 mastered Spirits to over 80 in a single day.

Small bonus: the method is even more effective on Mondays, during Master Mondays. Keep that in mind when planning your sessions.

Step 1 - Land at Cluster Coast and activate the x2

Head to Cluster Coast right from the start of the match. On the east shore, on the small grassy islet, you'll find a campfire. Light it and stay nearby until you get the x2 buff. If the buff doesn't trigger, it's not a dealbreaker - you'll just need to open more containers afterward to compensate.

Step 2 - Find the rubber duck

With the buff active, go hunt for the rubber duck with sunglasses. It spawns at several specific locations in Cluster Coast (check the map available in your game client). Pick it up: it automatically gives you a mysterious keycard.

Step 3 - Open the secret room

With the keycard in hand, head to the building across from the fountain. In the first room on the left, place the duck on the display stand. A panel opens in the floor: go down. You'll come out into a room with rare chests, ammo crates, and gold bars.

• Open all the chests and ammo crates for Spirit XP.
• Destroy the gold bars: this gets you more than 3,000 Gold guaranteed.

Then head back up to the surface and continue exploring Cluster Coast. Open production crates, containers, and chests until your Spirit reaches level 3.

Step 4 - Buy the Snacks

Once level 3 is reached, that's where the gold you collected from the secret room comes in handy. Find a vending machine with a cross on it - and buy two Snacks at 1,500 Gold each. Use both immediately. Your Spirit jumps straight to level 5.

Step 5 - Extract the Spirit to confirm mastery

Reaching level 5 isn't enough: you need to extract the Spirit to confirm mastery. Head to the extraction site north of Cluster Coast, or use a Portable Extractor if you have one. Extraction locks in your progress and permanently confirms the Spirit's mastery rank.

What makes the method hold up over time

The loop is repeatable every match: campfire → duck → secret room → farm to level 3 → two Snacks → extraction. The big advantage is that the secret room practically covers the cost of both Snacks on its own. No extra farming needed between steps.

The only real variable is enemy pressure. If you get eliminated before extraction, your progress for that match is lost. Play carefully once you've hit level 5 - extraction remains the absolute priority.
