In brief

The Quack Point Zero spirit closes for good on August 19, 2026, only accessible at tier 55 of Mastery of Spirits. To unlock it in thirteen days, forget rare spirits: target cheap spirits like Water, Earth and Fire (100 dust), master them to level 5, extract them before the match ends, then repeat relentlessly.

Thirteen days remain. Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3, named "Collecte effrénée" in the French client, ends on Wednesday, August 19, 2026. With it closes the only window to claim the season's most demanding reward: the Zero Point Quack Spirit, locked behind Mastery tier 55.

This spirit doesn't drop from any chest. Its spawn rate in spirit chests is 0%, exactly like the three other Quack variants. The only path to it remains the mastery counter, and that counter doesn't go up when you pick up a spirit: it goes up when you extract one at max level.

Here's exactly how the system works, the tiers marking the road ahead, and above all the spirits to prioritize if you're jumping in with thirteen days left before the end.

Mastering a spirit: level 5, then extraction

The mechanic relies on two cumulative conditions. First, you need to level the spirit up to level 5, its cap. Then you need to extract it at an extraction site before the match ends. Finishing a match with a level 5 spirit still in your inventory counts for nothing: without a validated extraction, the mastery counter doesn't move an inch. This is the mistake that costs the most time for players farming without having read the rule.

Spirit XP is earned through three actions, and Epic spells them out in the game's French welcome message: eliminations, opening chests, and reviving teammates. A passive match spent at the edge of the zone therefore doesn't progress any spirit. An aggressive rotation through three or four chests, one elimination, and one squad revive, on the other hand, is enough to complete all five levels before the second zone.

Every spirit taken to completion and then extracted adds one unit to the overall counter. The collection now lists over one hundred and ten entries counting the Gold, Gummy, Galaxy, Gem, Holofoil, Cube, and Quack finishes: there's plenty to line up 55 masteries without ever running into the same model twice.

The Spirit Mastery tiers

The reward track is short, but the gaps widen sharply toward the end of the run.

Mastery tierReward
17Spirit Locator
35Water Quack Spirit
40Earth Quack Spirit
45Fire Quack Spirit
55Zero Point Quack Spirit

Tier 17 is the one that unlocks the Spirit Locator, the item that reveals a spirit chest visible only to you. If you don't have it yet, that's your first objective: it mechanically speeds up everything else in the race.

What the four Quack spirits are really worth

The Quack variants don't reinvent the base spirit's power: they keep it as is and add a collection bonus on top. That bonus is the real selling point. When a Quack spirit gains XP in a match, all your other spirits in your inventory get an extra 50%. That's a farming multiplier, not just a cosmetic skin.

SpiritEffectProgression from level 1 to level 5
Water QuackRegenerates shield as long as you stay in water2 to 6 shields per tick
Earth QuackChance to find extra rare loot when opening a chest10% to 20%
Fire QuackTriggers a fiery explosion once you deal enough damage150 damage required, then just 50
Zero Point QuackSpawns a small shield bubble when you heal6 to 10 seconds duration

The Zero Point Quack thus reuses the power of the mythic Zero Point spirit: every healing item used on yourself — sprays and grenades don't count — generates a mini shield bubble, six seconds at level 1 and up to ten seconds at level 5. In a final three-team fight, that amounts to putting up a free wall with every bandage.

The cheapest spirits to master

Not all spirits demand the same effort. Three of them — Water, Earth, and Fire — never drop from spirit chests: their rate there is 0%. They roam the world, confined to specific biomes: Water near rivers and beaches, Earth in forests, Fire around urban areas. Their summoning cost is also the lowest in the game, 100 dust, against 6,750 for a mythic. In terms of time invested versus mastery gained, these are your best bets.

Right behind them come Air and Fishy, also absent from spirit chests, spotted in high terrain, for a summoning cost of 1,800. For everything else, it's the spirit chest spawn rate that decides.

SpiritRaritySpirit chest rateSummoning cost
Demon / Aura / DuckEpic6.48%2,700
Ghost / King / StrikerEpic5.25%2,700
PeelyLegendary4.62%4,500
Dream / Punk / Boss / LlamaLegendary4.45%4,500
SevenLegendary3.63%4,500
Burnt Peanut / IronmouseMythic2.14%6,750
GrimMythic0.15%6,750

The takeaway is simple: at this point in the season, don't chase after Grim and its 0.15%. An epic spirit at 6.48% shows up more than forty times as often, costs two and a half times less to summon, and grants exactly the same mastery unit as a mythic.

Three levers to speed up the home stretch

  • Summoning. Every spirit has a summoning cost paid in dust. Since all spirits count the same toward the counter, spending 100 dust on a Water or Earth spirit instead of 6,750 on a mythic multiplies the number of masteries obtained per equal reserve by sixty-seven.
  • Squad trading. Spirits can be traded between players. An organized squad pools its duplicates and redistributes them: everyone walks away with a model they haven't mastered yet instead of letting the surplus go to waste.
  • Quack Snacks. Sold for 1,500 gold bars at repair machines, they skip spirit levels without farming. Be careful though: community guides don't agree on the exact size of the boost, one tier for some, straight to level 5 for others. Test one before emptying your bar reserve.

The August 5 patch sets farming right again

Epic rolled out an unannounced update on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, referenced as 1.000.227 on console, which fixes two bugs directly tied to this race: spirit chests opening empty and a malfunction with the Ironmouse spirit. If you'd eased off because your chests weren't giving anything, the situation has been cleaned up since yesterday — and you still have thirteen full days left.

The four brand-new powers that arrived on July 30

The v41.30 update, rolled out on July 30, was the season's biggest spirit addition. About twenty entries dropped at once, but most are finishes. Four genuinely new powers came out of it, and they're worth the detour during your mastery farming.

  • Llama (legendary): opening an ammo crate can upgrade a weapon, from a 5% chance at level 1 to 20% at level 5. It's found in Relic Chests.
  • Peely (legendary, 4.62% in spirit chests): reveals players carrying rare spirits within a radius that grows from 40 to 80 meters, but marks you in return on the map. Use with caution when playing solo.
  • Ironmouse (mythic): regenerates your health when it runs low, from 60 HP at level 1 to 100 HP at level 5, granting you camouflage and reduced gravity throughout the regeneration. Also found in Relic Chests.
  • John Wick (mythic): every opponent knocked down reveals those around them, from 3 to 5 seconds of marking depending on level. It's exclusive to Reload mode: its spawn rate in spirit chests in classic Battle Royale is 0%.

The plan for the last thirteen days

Count on one guaranteed mastery per match by playing cleanly: land at a chest-dense spot, complete five levels before the second zone, extract immediately regardless of your final placement. At three or four matches per evening, tier 55 remains achievable even starting from scratch today, as long as you never leave a match without extracting.

And if the counter still feels far from 55, don't give up the race either. Tiers 35, 40, and 45 come noticeably faster and already grant three Quack variants, meaning three sources of shared XP bonus for your whole collection. That's the best return on investment between now and August 19 — and it makes tier 55 mechanically closer with every match.

With thirteen days until the deadline, how would you farm Quack Point Zero?

Frequently asked questions

Why doesn't my level 5 spirit count toward the mastery counter?
Because you didn't extract it at an extraction point before the match ended. Finishing a match with the spirit still in your inventory validates nothing: it's the classic mistake that costs rushed farmers the most time.
Which spirit should you prioritize farming with thirteen days left?
The Water, Earth and Fire spirits: they cost 100 dust to summon, never drop from chests (so no loading screen), and grant exactly one mastery like any mythic. In terms of time-to-resource ratio, it's unbeatable.
How many masteries does it take to go from 0 to 55?
There are over one hundred and ten different spirits in the game if you count all the finishes (Gold, Galaxy, Holofoil, Quack, etc.), so you can reach 55 without ever crossing the same model twice. The effort mainly depends on your summoning and extraction strategy.
Do Quack Snacks really speed up mastery?
Sold for 1,500 gold bars, they skip levels without any farming. But community guides disagree on the exact gain, some saying one tier, others saying straight to level 5 — test one before emptying your stash.
Can John Wick be farmed in classic Battle Royale?
No, John Wick is exclusive to Reload mode with a 0% drop rate from spirit chests in standard Battle Royale. You have to play Reload to unlock and master it.

Key takeaways

  • End-of-match extraction is mandatory: a level 5 spirit that isn't extracted doesn't count at all
  • Cheap epic spirits (Water, Earth, Fire at 100 dust) grant as much mastery as a 6,750 mythic
  • Quack Point Zero generates a shield bubble on every heal used, an insane advantage in the late game
  • Trading in a squad multiplies your speed by redistributing duplicates instead of losing them
