Fortnite: Slone's "The Innovation" set — 20 weekly quests to complete before August 19, and the prerequisite that blocks everything
In brief
Slone's The Innovation set requires 20 weekly quests to complete before August 19, but two eliminatory prerequisites block everything: the battle pass and the base outfit unlocked (level 60 plus two full pages of cosmetics). Rewards drop in stages: four pieces at 4, 8, 12, and 20 quests, meaning partial catch-up still pays off even if it doesn't reach the final total.
The counter that unlocks Slone's The Innovation set shows neither a Battle Pass level nor a total XP count: it counts completed weekly quests, and you need 20 for the full set — but the first pieces drop as early as 4. Good news for anyone starting on Monday, August 17: these twenty quests are drawn from the entire pool of weeks 7 through 11 of "Frenzied Collection," not just from the current week. Catching up is therefore possible, and it pays off even if it doesn't reach the full total.
Bad news, and it's the point many players discover too late: this progress is only counted if two conditions are already met. You need to own the Battle Pass, and have already unlocked Slone's base outfit — which requires level 60 and purchasing all the cosmetics from the two pages dedicated to the persona. As long as these two boxes aren't checked, you can grind through quests all you want: nothing gets recorded.
The deadline is short. Our only first-hand data is the countdown displayed in-game in the Battle Pass: it points to Wednesday, August 19, 2026, and Epic has announced Chapter 7 Season 4 "Override" for Thursday, August 20. A theory of a slip to Saturday, August 22 is also circulating in the French specialized press: it is based on no communication from Epic and contradicts this countdown. We report it for what it is — speculation — and we advise you to plan on the basis of the 19th.
Twenty quests to draw from between weeks 7 and 11, at least fifteen of which must come before week 11
This is the most misunderstood mechanic of this set. It's neither about finishing the five quests of a given week, nor about reaching a Battle Pass tier: it's about a cumulative total of 20 weekly quests, drawn from the pool of weeks 7 through 11. The order doesn't matter at all, and a quest completed three weeks ago counts exactly as much as a quest wrapped up tonight.
An arithmetic consequence follows from this, and it's decisive: week 11 only brings five quests. So at least fifteen quests must come from weeks 7, 8, 9, and 10. If you're discovering this objective today and these four weeks have remained empty, the full set is measured in a four-week backlog, not a single evening — but the intermediate tiers detailed below remain within reach. The first move is accounting: open the quests tab, tally what's been completed across these five weeks, and you'll know in thirty seconds where you stand.
Without Slone's base outfit, the counter doesn't start: level 60 and two complete pages
The prerequisite is twofold, and it's disqualifying. First part, the most obvious: you need to own the Battle Pass for "Frenzied Collection." Second part, considerably more costly: you need to have unlocked Slone's base outfit. Now, this outfit isn't just a tier reached along the way: it requires level 60 of the pass, as well as purchasing all the cosmetics from both pages of the persona. Without that, progress toward the set isn't counted.
The priority order follows from this. If you're below level 60, or if you're missing cosmetics from either of Slone's two pages, it's not the quests you should chase first: it's the pass you need to level up and these two pages you need to complete. Finishing twenty quests only to discover afterward that the counter had never started is the scenario to avoid.
The five Week 11 quests, one by one
The latest wave, titled The Prophecy's Exploration — Epic has not published a French label for this title — consists of five objectives:
- Start a match with a max level Sprite equipped. The condition applies to the start of the match: the Sprite must already be at max level and equipped by the time you launch in, not leveled up during the match.
- Chain a triple jump using Shock Rocks. We haven't found a published French label for these items: search for "Shock Rocks" in the client.
- Search 10 chests at Frosted Flats.
- Recover health shortly after being damaged by an opponent.
- Defeat a boss.
Only the first one really requires preparation beforehand: it plays out even before the match starts.
Rewards drop in batches of four quests: at 12, you already have three pieces out of four
The set is not an all-or-nothing deal spread across 20 quests, and that's what most checklists gloss over. The four pieces, themed around The Seven, to whom Slone is affiliated, unlock one by one:
| Weekly quests completed | Reward unlocked |
|---|---|
| 4 | Innovation Pack Back Bling |
| 8 | Innovation Axe Pickaxe |
| 12 | Innovation Wings Glider |
| 16 | The Innovation Outfit, helmet-off style |
| 20 | The Innovation Outfit, helmet-on style |
A player stuck at 12 quests hasn't lost anything, then: they hold three of the four pieces, and just one more evening opens up the Outfit itself, in the helmet-off version. The 20-quest threshold only gates the second style. That's reason enough to keep at it even when the full count seems out of reach.
A word on these four names, since it's a recurring source of confusion: Epic has not published any verified French label for The Innovation, Innovation Pack, Innovation Axe, and Innovation Wings. We're leaving them in English rather than offering a homemade translation that would keep you from finding the items in your locker.
The same logic applies in reverse for the season itself: the English name "Runners" circulates a lot, including in several of our earlier pieces, but the official label in the French client is indeed "Collecte effrénée." Likewise, the English Sprites are the "esprits" in French: that's the name to search for when leveling up the one you need for Week 11's first quest.
No more new quest waves before the end: next Thursday is already "Override"
The season's weekly quests drop every Thursday at 9:00 AM ET, which is 3:00 PM in France at this time of year. But the season ends on Wednesday, August 19, according to the countdown, and the following Thursday, August 20, is already the launch day for "Override."
So the pool is now closed: what you see in the quests tab right now is the entirety of what you'll have access to before "Collecte effrénée" ends. There will be no Week 12 to make up for lost time.
Key dates to remember before the switch
| Date | What's happening |
|---|---|
| Monday, August 17, 2026 | Today: tally up already completed quests and start catching up |
| Wednesday, August 19, 2026 | End of the "Frenzied Collection" season according to the battle pass countdown |
| Thursday, August 20, 2026 | Announced launch of Chapter 7 Season 4 "Override" |
| Saturday, August 22, 2026 | Delay hypothesis reported by specialized press — not announced by Epic, contradicted by the in-game countdown |
The order of operations for this Monday, August 17 comes down to three steps. First, check that you own the battle pass and that Slone's base outfit is unlocked, including level 60 and two pages of cosmetics: without that, everything else is a waste of time. Next, count your already completed quests from weeks 7 through 11 and figure out where you stand on the tier scale. Finally, tackle the five quests of week 11, keeping in mind that the window closes on Wednesday, August 19 according to the in-game countdown: banking on the press hypothesis of a delay to Saturday the 22nd would be unwise.

Key takeaways
- The 20 quests are drawn from weeks 7 to 11, not just week 11 alone: you need a minimum of 15 quests from weeks 7 through 10.
- Two eliminatory conditions block progress: owning the battle pass and having unlocked Slone's base outfit (level 60 plus cosmetics purchased across two pages).
- The set unlocks in stages — backpack at 4 quests, pickaxe at 8, glider at 12, helmet-removed outfit at 16, and the full outfit at 20.
- No quests will appear after Wednesday, August 19: Thursday, August 20 already marks the launch of the Override season, so there won't be a week 12.
- Catching up is still possible even if you discover the goal late, as long as the two prerequisites are met: three of the four pieces are earned well before the 20-quest mark.
