Fortnite Batcave: where to find it and how to get in

The Batcave arrived in Fortnite with Chapter 7 Season 3, tucked away in the Wonkeeland area. Access isn't immediately obvious, and several rival squads can converge on the same spot - better to know exactly where to go before setting foot there.

Location: Wonkeeland, center of the area

Head to the center of Wonkeeland. You're looking for a tree with a stop sign at its base - that's your visual landmark. Hard to miss once you know what to look for, but it stays discreet on a crowded map.

Near that tree, you'll find a zipline. Use it to drop down into the large hole that opens up in the ground. From there, the tunnels are linear: follow the path, there's really no way to get lost.

The secret entrance on the east side

What many don't know: there's a secondary entrance in the cliff on the east side. In other words, if you arrive via the main zipline, someone could very well come charging in from behind through this access point. Stay alert as soon as you hit the bottom of the tunnels - it's a sought-after spot, and the funnel-like layout makes it easy to get ambushed.

What you'll find inside

Let's be honest: the Batcave is mostly a fan service location, not a loot vault. You'll find:

• A few standard chests and floor loot
• The Bat Computer, true to the DC vibe
• Batman-themed surfboards
• An arsenal

Nothing exceptional loot-wise, then. And as for the Batman Sprite - that famous item everyone's after - don't count on the Batcave to get one. After several runs there, no additional drop chance was observed compared to the rest of the map. No secret room, no puzzle, no hidden rarity bonus. What you see is what you get.

Is it worth the detour?

If you're playing during the Hot Bat Summer event (active until August), the Batcave remains a nice POI to visit for the atmosphere and the visual details. The Bat Computer and the surfboards have clearly gotten some love. But if your priority is loot or Sprite farming, don't go out of your way for it - the Sprites scattered across the map will be far more efficient for that.

Another point to keep in mind: the event runs until August, and Epic could very well expand the Batcave in the coming weeks. It's worth checking back in from time to time.
