In brief

What's Mine By Right sends you to the Torres estate to free the Sage. To pull it off, you need to grab the prison key from Warden Sotelo, then open his cell. Between stealthy infiltration and a frontal approach, this guide walks you through the mission step by step.

The mission What's Rightfully Mine sends you to infiltrate Torres's estate in Havana to free the Sage. The objective is simple on paper: get a key, open a cell. Except the key in question is on a guard who's well surrounded, right in the heart of a hostile complex. Here's how it plays out, step by step.

Entering Torres's Estate

After your conversation with Bonnet, head to Torres's estate. The main entrance is guarded by two soldiers. You have two options right off the bat:

  • Double assassination on both guards to force your way in directly.
  • Stealth approach: ignore the door and look for the crack in the wooden planks on the left of the main entrance. This is the discreet passage that avoids raising the alarm from the get-go.

Note

If you're aiming for a 100% stealth run, take the crack. The estate is big, so you might as well start without the whole camp on your back.

Reaching the Upper Section of the Estate

The prison key isn't down below. You need to climb. Look for the stone staircase in the western part of the complex: this is the way up to the estate's upper section. Climb up, move along the rooftops, and stay elevated as much as possible to avoid contact with the ground patrols.

The main villa's courtyard is located at coordinates 207,573 on the map. If you've activated the Havana map layer, that'll give you a quick visual reference.

Finding and Neutralizing Warden Sotelo

The key is on Warden Sotelo, the jailer. He's standing in the estate courtyard, giving a speech to the assembled soldiers. From the rooftops, you can easily spot him addressing his men.

You still have two options for approaching him:

  • Direct approach (full-on aggressive): jump down from the rooftops, assassinate Sotelo in the courtyard, and deal with the consequences - you'll have to fight the remaining guards to flee with the key. Effective, but noisy.
  • Stealth approach (recommended): wait until Sotelo finishes his speech. He then leaves the courtyard alone. That's the moment to strike - once he's isolated, a discreet assassination is enough, and no general alarm gets triggered.

Patience clearly pays off here. Waiting thirty more seconds for Sotelo to walk away means avoiding a fight against an entire courtyard of guards. You've been warned!

Getting the Key and Freeing the Sage

Once Sotelo is down, search his body to get the prison key. Then head to the Sage's cell, west of the courtyard - in the large square building in the northwest of the estate (entrance at coordinates 204,575). Open the cell, a cutscene triggers, and the mission What's Rightfully Mine is complete.

Tip: synchronize the viewpoint

While you're in the area, don't leave without synchronizing the viewpoint near Torres's estate. This unlocks a fast travel point at the complex - useful for future back-and-forth trips around Havana. It's the kind of small detail you forget about in the moment, and one you might bitterly regret later.
