Sunreach Palworld: how to reach the floating islands
In brief
Sunreach is Palworld 1.0's floating endgame area, perched 350 meters up in the sky. There are two paths: go through the altar at the Tower of the Fallen Paradise (the "normal" route) or fly straight up there with a Pal strong enough for the job. Both work, but the first requires beating bosses, while the second requires having the right creatures.
Sunreach is the end-game zone introduced in Palworld 1.0 - floating islands nestled more than 350 meters above sea level, recommended for players around level 68-70. Two paths exist to access it: the official route via the Fallen Paradise Tower altar, and the raw flight route. Both work, but one clearly demands more preparation than the other.
Method 1: the Fallen Paradise Tower altar (official route)
The Fallen Paradise Tower is located in the southwest of the map, around the coordinates -1294, -1669. To unlock access to the altar, you must defeat Bjorn and Bastigor, the bosses of this tower. No shortcut here - it's a prerequisite that isn't obvious.
Once victory is achieved, you're automatically teleported to the top of the tower, just like after any tower in the game. Except this time, an interactive altar awaits you. Interact with it: a loading screen appears, and you find yourself in Sunreach.
Note
If you had already finished the Fallen Paradise Tower before the release of version 1.0, the altar obviously wasn't there during your run. So you may have missed this entrance without knowing it - this is the scenario that pushes many players toward method 2.

First steps in Sunreach
Upon arrival, the map is covered in fog of war if it's your first visit. Your position is visible, but the rest is opaque. Before exploring, here are two priority reflexes to have:
- Talk to the Sunreach Citizen, the NPC right in front of you - it triggers a new quest.
- Head to the Sunreach Watchtower in the southwest: it clears the clouds on the map and gives you an overview of the floating islands. This makes navigation much easier afterward.
Tip
To move between the floating islands of Sunreach, look for the purple orbs scattered across the islands - they serve as local teleporters and save you from having to summon your flying Pal for every jump.

Method 2: flying there, without going through the tower
Yes, alright, it's doable. But you'll need to put in the effort and get clever about it: the lowest part of Sunreach already peaks at around 350 meters above sea level. Your flying Pal therefore needs to handle the distance and altitude - which isn't a given for everyone.
The most reliable solutions:
- Jetragon and Selyne: comfortable, fast, no problem reaching the required altitude.
- Suzaku: the most accessible option. High base stamina, and its passive (+5% movement speed per fire-type Pal present in the team) can be easily exploited. A Suzaku with no stat bonuses and no fire-type Pal in the team still manages to reach the islands - that's how much margin there is.
Tip
The Pal Essence Condenser lets you amplify the speed passive if you want to optimize further.

On the other hand, avoid basic Pals like Nitewing: even equipped with solid passives (Legend, Runner), it falls halfway there. Stamina simply can't keep up.
For your flight starting point, aim for the coordinates -495, -1374, which puts you facing one of the lowest islands in Sunreach - it's the best approach angle to optimize your chances of reaching your distant destination without falling.
