Pokémon Pokopia Stardust and Star Piece: How to Get Them

In Pokémon Pokopia, two precious items, Stardust and the Star Piece, are essential resources for adventurers. In this article, we're going to break down how to get these items in detail.

What is Stardust?

Stardust is a rare material that can only be obtained in one specific place, namely the Dream Islands. The Dream Islands are quite special locations where you can obtain certain unique resources. To go to these islands, you'll need to go through an essential step: meeting the Pokémon Baudrive.

To meet Baudrive, you must first go to Terrassec, where it's crucial to set up a habitat for the Pokémon. To do this, you'll need to line up three Campfires in order to build the habitat. You will also need a doll; the models are quite varied, but it's often easier to find an Eevee doll.

How to Get Stardust

On the Dream Islands, Stardust is fairly common, although it's generally found more on the coasts and in caves. Stardust appears as small pink patches on the ground, but be careful, it can easily be missed.

Tip
Explore the different parts of the island: the concentration of Stardust isn't the same everywhere. Depending on the location, you'll find more or less Stardust.

Using Stardust

Once you've collected at least 99 Stardust, you can create Star Pieces. The Star Piece is a very useful item for interacting with other Pokopia players.

To use a Star Piece, you need to be a Nintendo Switch Online subscriber. Once at a Pokémon Center, select the Online Play option. Then, by choosing to invite a friend to join your world or vice versa, give the Star Piece to a Pokémon discovered by another player in order to receive their Pokémon gift in return.

After giving the Star Piece, a gift will be waiting for you. You can open it near an unoccupied habitat. This gift will contain a Pokémon matching the one you helped. This will make it easier for you to complete your Pokédex!
