In brief

Hexoquartz is the rare, iridescent ore found in Feybreak that gets refined into Hexolite, the key material for tier 55+ gear. This guide reveals where to farm it efficiently, which Pals drop it, and most importantly: what it's actually used for in your endgame progression.

Palworld crossed the 1.0 milestone on July 11, 2026, but Pocketpair isn't done with the Palpagos Islands yet. The Feybreak expansion introduces a new volcanic archipelago and, with it, a whole endgame progression path built around an iridescent, rainbow-hued ore: Hexoquartz, also translated as Hexolite Quartz in some French-language guides. Once refined into Hexolite, this material becomes the cornerstone of technology level 55+ gear. Here's where to find it, which Pals drop it, and exactly what it's used for.

Note on official FR names — the reference database paldb.cc/fr uses Hexoquartz as a single word for the raw crystal, and Hexolite for the refined alloy. Other French-language sources (the FR Fandom wiki, Julsa) use Quartz hexolite. Both terms refer to the same in-game ore.

What is Hexoquartz?

Hexoquartz is a rare crystal described in-game as follows: "A rare crystal found only in the Fallen Paradise Lands. Over the centuries, Paldium has condensed and transformed until it acquired this unique iridescent shine." Its exact stats according to paldb.cc/fr:

  • Rarity: Common (but very geographically localized)
  • Weight: 2
  • Sell price: 1,000 gold coins
  • Max stack: 9,999

Once refined, it becomes Hexolite, an alloy sold for 3,000 gold coins and weighing 1, described as "an alloy made of Chromite, Metal Ore, and Hexoquartz. Used as a material for advanced equipment and structures."

Where to find Hexoquartz on Feybreak

Hexoquartz is exclusively found on Feybreak Island, located in the extreme southwest of the map, beyond Mount Obsidian. It appears as large rainbow crystals scattered sporadically across beaches, cliffs, and scorched clearings. Each deposit yields between 60 and 120 units depending on the size of the node.

Best farming spots (coordinates)

  • (-1066, -1430) — Northwest beach, three Hexoquartz nodes clustered around a Crude Oil deposit. The best spot for building a versatile mining base.
  • (-1330, -1290) — Peninsula south of the desert plateau, two crystals plus a nearby oil well.
  • (-953, -883) — Northern area of the island, closer to fast travel points, ideal for short sessions.
  • Scorched Ash Forest — significant crystal spread around trees, including underwater.
Travel tip — unlock the fast travel point Hidden Pass to the Oculus Gate before your first expedition. It's the closest hub to the three best deposits and saves you a long flight on a flying Pal across Feybreak.

Extraction requires at least a Refined Metal Pickaxe. The Pal Metal Pickaxe, unlocked late in progression, nearly halves mining time and remains the recommended tool for any serious session. Hexoquartz can be mined day or night, but watch out for hostile Fire and Electric Pals prowling the northern beaches in the evening.

Which Pals drop Hexoquartz

Only one creature in the Paldex directly drops Hexoquartz: Celesdir, the famous "Beast of Redemption," a Neutral-type Pal that takes the form of a white and brown reindeer emitting a radiant glow. According to paldb.cc/fr:

  • Celesdir (Lv. 54-60) — 2 to 3 Hexoquartz, 100% drop rate.
  • Celesdir Lv. 80 (World Tree variant) — 2 to 3 guaranteed Hexoquartz, plus a batch of Ancient Relics ranging from the Deteriorated Ancient Relic to the very rare Radiant Ancient Relic.

The boss Alpha Celesdir spawns northeast of the Hidden Pass to the Oculus Gate, at approximate coordinates (-965, -1176). Its partner skill, Purifying Blessing, increases the player's HP regeneration while riding it — making it also a valuable mount for exploring Feybreak's most hostile regions.

Combat tip — Celesdir is vulnerable to Dark-type Pals. A high-level Nyaphon or Grintale breaks its light shield within seconds. Still, bring armor resistant to Neutral damage: its charges can one-shot an unprepared player.

What Hexolite is used for

Hexoquartz is used exclusively to craft Hexolite, the alloy that unlocks the final gear tier. The official recipe requires a Giant Furnace (technology level 56) and a Fire-type Pal assigned to the flame:

  • 20 Ore
  • 12 Hexolite Quartz (Hexoquartz)
  • 5 Chromite

The Hexolite produced this way is used in more than thirty recipes ranging from technology level 55 to 65.

Energy weapons

  • Beam Sword — 30 Hexolite, the iconic final-tier melee weapon
  • Energy Shotgun, Mega Doping Pistol, Overheat Rifle
  • Laser Gatling Gun — 100 Hexolite
  • Plasma Cannon — 130 Hexolite, the peak of ranged damage

Armor and defense

  • Hexolite Armor — 200 Hexolite (the endgame armor set)
  • Heat-Resistant Armor and Cold-Resistant Armor — biome-specific versions
  • Lightweight Armor — for climbing mobility
  • Hexolite Helmet, Ultimate Shield — 50 Hexolite

Accessories, structures, and ammunition

  • Triple Jump Boots and Skywalker Mk-I / Mk-II for traversal
  • Advanced Chest, Large Electric Incubator, Advanced Sphere Production Line, Advanced Medicine Workbench
  • Powerful Fishing Magnet and a full range of saddles for flying and aquatic Pals
  • Plasma Cartridges, Rocket Ammo, high-end Rifle Bullets — 1 to 3 Hexolite per batch of 10 to 20 units

How to farm Hexoquartz efficiently

A manual mining session quickly hits a ceiling. For stable output, the community strategy converges on three complementary methods.

1. A mining base around a node

Set up a Palbox at coordinates (-1066, -1430): the area covers three deposits simultaneously plus an oil well. Assign:

  • An Astegon or a Blazamut Ryne (Mining level 4) to break the crystals.
  • A Sibelyx or a Frostallion (Kingpaca variant) for transport to the chest.
  • A versatile Anubis for backup construction and furnace crafting.
Respawn note — Hexoquartz nodes respawn roughly every 72 real-time minutes. A rotation of two miners at the base is enough to never leave a crystal untouched.

2. The Hexoquartz Mine

Unlocked at the end of the tech tree, the Hexoquartz Mine is an automated structure that passively produces the material as long as a mining Pal is assigned to it. Crafting cost: 70 Stone, 100 Hexoquartz, and 10 Ancient Civilization Parts. The investment is steep but frees you from farming in dangerous areas for the rest of the game.

3. Celesdir hunting

As a regular supplement, killing Alpha Celesdir grants 2 to 3 guaranteed Hexoquartz, and the boss respawns in about one real-time hour. Combined with the Ancient Relics dropped by the Lv. 80 variant, it's a routine worth adding to your daily loop — especially if you're also hunting for Starlit Night Sand.

Summary

Hexoquartz (or Hexolite Quartz) is the key to Feybreak's endgame. A good spot on the northern beaches, a Pal Metal Pickaxe, a well-assigned team of miners, and you'll easily unlock Hexolite Armor, the Plasma Cannon, and the Ultimate Shield. It's the "refined ore" counterpart to the new technological era, complementing Starlit Night Sand, the exclusive nocturnal material we cover in a dedicated guide.

What's your favorite method for farming Hexoquartz on Feybreak?

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between Hexoquartz and Hexolite?
Hexoquartz is the raw crystal you mine on Feybreak. Once refined in the Giant Furnace with Ore and Chromite, it becomes Hexolite, the alloy used for all endgame recipes (weapons, armor, structures).
Which Pal should I use to mine Hexoquartz quickly?
Astegon or Blazamut Ryne with the level 4 Mining talent break crystals twice as fast as a Refined Metal Pickaxe. A Pal Pickaxe is still needed to extract the ore from the ground after the block is destroyed.
How do I farm Hexoquartz without risking mind-numbing boredom?
Set up an automated mining base at coordinates (-1066, -1430), assign a level 4 miner, and let the crystals respawn (every 72 minutes). Supplement this with Celesdir kills (100% drop rate) and the Hexoquartz Mine later in progression for truly passive production.
Is Celesdir hard to beat?
Celesdir (Lv. 54-60) can one-shot you with its charges if you're poorly equipped. Bring a high-level Nyaphon or Grintale to break its light shield within seconds, and wear armor resistant to Neutral damage to survive.
How much Hexolite do I really need for the endgame?
It all depends on your goal. The Plasma Cannon (the most powerful weapon) costs 130 Hexolite, endgame Armor costs 200, and each advanced ammunition recipe requires 1 to 3. Plan for at least 500-1000 units if you want to fully equip your arsenal and structures.

Key takeaways

  • Hexoquartz is found only on Feybreak, mainly at coordinates (-1066, -1430), (-1330, -1290) and (-953, -883).
  • Celesdir is the only Pal that directly drops Hexoquartz with a 100% rate, between 2 and 3 units per kill.
  • Refining Hexoquartz into Hexolite requires a Giant Furnace, 20 Ore, 12 Hexoquartz and 5 Chromite.
  • Hexolite powers over 30 final-tier recipes: energy weapons (Plasma Cannon, 130 Hexolite), endgame armor (200 Hexolite), and structures.
  • Building an automated mining base with Astegon or Blazamut Ryne is enough to generate a steady flow without constant manual grinding.
