Palworld 1.0 Ancient Civilization Core: farming guide
In brief
The Heart of an Ancient Civilization is THE endgame resource of Palworld 1.0, essential for crafting AI Cores. From level 74+, unlock the Ancient Relic Recycler to mass-produce them; before that, expeditions are your best friend.
The Ancient Civilization Core is one of the most strategic end-game resources in Palworld. Since 1.0, it serves as the central component of the AI Core, which is itself required for most end-game items. Here's how to get it, depending on your progress.
The best method: recycling (end game)
If you're level 74+ and have reached the World Tree, unlock the Ancient Relic Recycler in your tech tree. Crafting it requires:
- 50 Paloxite Ingot
- 50 Mystic Wood
- 30 Ancient Civilization Parts
- 20 Ancient Civilization Cores
Yes, you need to spend Cores to build it - but the investment pays off quickly, since it then lets you mass-produce them. To use it, deposit all your Ancient Relics) and some World Tree Holy Water, activate the machine, then let a Pal with the Handiwork ability take care of it before collecting your loot.

Before the World Tree: expeditions
Haven't reached the World Tree yet? Expeditions remain the most reliable source. You need to have unlocked at least the glacial destination Astral Frost Cavern to start getting them. Even with a modest reward rate (30%), your odds remain decent. To speed things up, boost your Pals' Firepower: Pal essence condensers add stars and a big bonus, even to a basic Pal.
Other sources
Several methods can supplement your supply:
- Raid bosses: summon one (e.g. Bellanoir). Each player receives Cores: the more players, the better.
- Large Fishing Pond: a Pal assigned to catching big fish has a small chance of getting one, automatically (AFK).
- Level 55+ oil rigs: the large chest can contain some. No need to clear everything out: clear the area around the chest, then open it at your leisure.
- Exploring the World Tree: beyond recycling, search the chests and debris piles in the area.
- Silvance and Dandilord: these World Tree Pals can drop some if you defeat, capture, or butcher them.
In summary: aim for the Ancient Relic Recycler as soon as possible to mass-produce them, and run expeditions in the meantime. Everything else just tops up your stock.
