Blood of Dawnwalker: Silver Sword & Durandal Locations
In brief
The Blood of Dawnwalker hides three legendary swords, each obtained through a different path: Durandal via a side quest and combat, the St. Mihai-infused Sword through a linear quest chain, and The Purge through simple purchase from the Silver Merchant. This guide shows you where to look and how to progress without getting wiped out.
Three legendary swords are scattered throughout The Blood of Dawnwalker, and each one follows its own path to obtain. None of them drop by chance: you'll either have to complete a specific quest, reach a hotspot location, or pull out your wallet. Here's how to get your hands on Durandal, the Imbued Sword of St. Mihai, and The Purge, in the most logical order.
Durandal, the earliest accessible (but not the simplest)
This is probably the earliest sword you can pick up. Two methods are available to you: starting the side quest "The Cursed Gorge", or heading straight to the relevant area without going through the quest dialogue.
Before you set off, check your level. The area is swarming with tough enemies, and going there too early is a recipe for getting slaughtered for nothing.
- Locate the Sanctuary of the Coward's Path waypoint, located on the left side of the map.
- Once there, a quest marker appears: that's the trigger for the "The Cursed Gorge" quest.
- From this point, look downward and activate Focus Mode to spot debris on the ground.
- That's where Durandal is hidden, but the area is guarded by enemies you'll need to clear out before retrieving the blade.
Your level, once again, makes all the difference between a clean retrieval and a fight that goes south.

Imbued Sword of St. Mihai: the forge route
This one is the most straightforward of the three, provided you follow the right quest chain. It all starts with The Monk and the Saint: by completing it, you automatically obtain a broken silver sword. No luck involved here, the reward is guaranteed.
Next comes The Reforged Blade. Complete the quest and you'll get the three fragments needed to restore the weapon.
- Head to Uriash the Blacksmith with your three fragments.
- Have the restored version of the silver sword forged.
- The blacksmith then converts the repaired sword into the Imbued Sword of St. Mihai.
Note
A linear progression, with no hidden trap: follow the two quests in order and the sword comes to you on its own.

The Purge: the one you buy
No quest, no fight, just currency farming. The Purge is obtained from the Silver Merchant in Svartrau City, for 3750 Denaril.
That's a hefty sum for a mid-game weapon. Diversify your in-game income sources - side quests, exploration, selling loot - if you want to get it without wiping out your entire stash.
Of the three, this is clearly the easiest to obtain on paper: no combat required, just patience and a bit of inventory management.

Key takeaways

- The St. Mihai-infused Sword follows a guaranteed progression: The Monk and the Saint, then The Reforged Blade, then the forge at Uriash.
- The Purge costs 3750 Denaril from the Silver Merchant in Svartrau City — the simplest technically, but the most resource-intensive for farming.
- Your level makes all the difference between a clean acquisition and a catastrophic wipe, particularly for Durandal.
