EA Sports FC 26: the Final Whistle inventory — 6 rewards transferable to FC 27, 16 Evolutions and the 4 returning FUTTIES waves in packs
In brief
EA wraps up FC 26's pre-season with the Final Whistle: two weeks of events delivering 6 rewards transferable to FC 27, 16 Evolutions to unlock, the return of the 4 FUTTIES waves in packs, and several challenges. Be careful though: the dates shown vary from page to page, no precise schedule has been given, and tokens remain limited for certain Evolutions.
EA put online on Friday, August 28, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. Paris time its "Football Ultimate Team™ 26 - Pre-Season" page. It describes two weeks of content built around an event called Final Whistle: an Event the first week, a Tournament the second.
The inventory is clear-cut: 6 transferable rewards to FC 27, 16 Evolutions, the 4 waves of untradeable FUTTIES items going back into packs, and six Squad Building Challenges (SBCs) "Challenge". What the page doesn't provide is just as telling: no start or end date for these two weeks, and a redemption date in FC 27 that doesn't match the one shown on the Season 10 page.
A warning before we go on: the page is served on the /fr/ address, but its body remained in English. None of the Final Whistle labels have a published French version; we're therefore keeping them as they are, with a gloss.
Two weeks, two formats: Final Whistle Event then Final Whistle Tournament
EA clearly separates the two weeks: the Final Whistle Event first, the Final Whistle Tournament second, with different challenges on either side. As for the rewards, they're tied to the Live Events Objectives taken as a whole: EA doesn't link any reward to a specific week and doesn't publish an objective-by-objective schedule.
Three other blocks run in parallel across both weeks: Daily Game, Achievement groups, and a new Champions objective each week. But the page doesn't date any of it: no launch, no time, no closing. Practical consequence: don't plan for the last week, handle each Objectives group as soon as it appears.
The six transferable rewards, one by one
Here are the six rewards that the two weeks' Live Events Objectives pay out into FC 27, in EA's exact wording:
- Base PlayStyle: Anticipate (Max 83 OVR) — a base PlayStyle consumable.
- Base PlayStyle: Pinged Pass (Max 83 OVR) — the same principle, applied to passing.
- Role++ for CAM: Shadow Striker++ (Max 83 OVR) — a Role++ consumable reserved for the central attacking midfielder position (CAM).
- 81+ x3 Pack (Untradeable) — three untradeable items rated 81 or higher.
- 1 of 2 Base Heroes Loan Player Pick (5 Matches) — a Player Pick between two Heroes, on loan, five matches.
- 1 of 3 82+ Player Pick (Tradeable) + 10,000 Coins — a tradeable Player Pick from three, rated 82 or higher, plus 10,000 Coins.
All three consumables carry the "Max 83 OVR" label: they're aimed at an early-FC 27 club, not an already high-rated card. And the Hero isn't really one: it's a five-match loan, neither sellable nor keepable.
One last mix-up to avoid: Final Whistle gives a tradeable 82+ Player Pick, while Season 10 promises a tradeable 83+ Player Pick (1 of 3) for the full pre-season Achievement group. Not the same objectives, not the same rating, and not necessarily the same date.
16 Evolutions: ten in the Evolutions store, six in the token store
This is the part that plays out in FC 26, and therefore the most immediate one. Ten Evolutions are being added to the Evolution Store — EA writes "Evolution Store", with no published French equivalent — and six more are being added to the token store.
The page publishes neither names, nor costs, nor requirements: it's impossible to build a budget at this stage. The point of friction lies elsewhere — the last six are paid for with tokens, on a cap of 3,000 which we've already shown doesn't cover the catalogue.
The 4 FUTTIES waves return in packs, two per week
The FUTTIES j. items are returning to the pack pool, and EA is splitting the operation up: waves 1 and 2 in the first week, waves 3 and 4 in the second. If you're after a card from a later wave, opening your packs from the first week onward won't help.
On the SBC side, the page announces six "Challenge" SBCs and themed SBCs devoted to new transfers, to the Summer Stars and to reissues of Heroes and FUTTIES ICONS.

The calendar trap: three date formulations, none identical
EA has two sets of transferable rewards coexisting across two different pages, with dates that don't line up.
| Official page | What it says | Date |
|---|---|---|
| Pre-Season (August 28, in English) | Final Whistle rewards available in FC 27 "starting from 23 October" | Friday, October 23, 2026 |
| Season 10: Pre-Season (August 13, in French), text | "available in EA SPORTS FC 27 starting in early October" | early October 2026 |
| Season 10, "FC27 Deployment Date" column | all six rows in the table, without exception | Friday, October 16, 2026 |
| Season 10, standard progression (level 30) | 82+ x7 Pack (untradeable) and EVO PS consumable (Rapid Stride base) (83 OVR max.), "which will arrive before October 9, 2026" | by Friday, October 9, 2026 at the latest |
The two sets of rewards are separate, and nothing obliges EA to deliver them together. But "starting in early October" and "starting from 23 October" don't describe the same opening window. Go by the earliest date: log into FC 27 Ultimate Team from the very first days of October, then check again around the 9th, the 16th and the 23rd. Showing up too early costs nothing; showing up too late costs everything.
The deadline rule doesn't change, and we've already detailed it: each batch must be claimed within the month following its delivery, or it's lost. With three possible waves, that's three separate countdowns.
The condition the French page doesn't mention
On the Season 10 page, in French, the condition is summed up in a few words: log into FC 27 FUT "with the same EA account". On the Pre-Season page, in English, EA adds a second one: the same EA Account and platform family.
Platform family is not the platform: from a PS5 to a PS5 Pro, no problem; from PlayStation to Xbox, or from a console to PC, you fall outside it. If you were planning on switching sides for FC 27, now is the time to know, not October 23.
What's left to do before then
- The fourth group arrives. "Pre-Season Achievement IV" releases on Thursday, September 3, 2026; the third one has been open since Thursday, August 27. Each one costs an 81+ x3 Pack (untradeable) and 10,000 Coins.
- Check your EA account and the platform on which you'll be playing FC 27, ahead of early access on Friday, September 18 reserved for the Ultimate Plus Edition.
- Handle the Final Whistle Objectives without delay, since no end date has been published.
- Hold on to your tokens as long as the six Evolutions in the token store have neither a name nor a price.
The verdict: the pre-season brings almost nothing to your current club, but three consumables capped at 83, a five-match loan, and a tradeable 82+ player pick land on an empty club at the launch of FC 27, the only time of year when an 82-rated card is still worth something.

Key takeaways
- Claim your Final Whistle rewards starting in October in FC 27, as three different dates are circulating (October 9, 16, and 23), and you have a month to grab them after each delivery.
- The three consumables and the Hero loan capped at 83 OVR are only useful at the start of FC 27, when a solid base player makes a difference on an empty club.
- The six token shop Evolutions remain a trap: 3,000 tokens aren't enough for the whole catalogue, and EA hasn't published either their names or their prices.
- FUTTIES return in pairs each week (waves 1-2 then 3-4): opening packs too early if you're after a later wave is pointless.
- Check your EA account and platform before September 18, as rewards only transfer from the same account to the same platform family (PS to PS, Xbox to Xbox, never PS to Xbox).
