EA Sports FC 26: 6,000 FC Points Expire September 15

On Thursday, September 3, 2026, EA Sports FC 26 opens "Pre-Season Achievement IV," the fourth and final weekly group of objectives in its season 10. It's the last line of the transferable rewards table that had yet to be released. We detailed its contents, and the four contradictory delivery dates that come with it, on August 29.

The rest of September lies elsewhere. It's not on the season 10 page, nor on the pre-season page, but in FC 26's legal notices — a page nobody opens, and which contains firm dates. Three of them fall before the end of the month and make content that players have already paid for disappear.

September 15 wipes out 6,000 FC Points, and only for one edition

The EA Play Pro Edition of FC 26 includes 6,000 FC Points. They aren't paid out all at once: EA states they are "distributed in 3 equal batches," the first "upon your first login to Ultimate Team," the second "at the end of the following month," the third "at the end of the month after that." Three equal batches out of 6,000 comes to 2,000 per payment — this is our own division, EA doesn't publish the breakdown.

Two dates bracket this mechanism, and the second one is brutal. The first has already passed: "You must follow the instructions to receive the initial FC Points distribution before June 15, 2026 to receive the full 6,000 FC Points." In other words, anyone who started after that date will never get the three full payments. The second permanently shuts off the tap: "If you redeem the code after September 15, 2026, you will not receive any FC Points."

One condition is worth reading before cancelling anything: an active EA Play Pro subscription is required "for the entire duration of the 6,000 Points distribution period." A subscription interrupted between two payments therefore cuts off the rest. EA adds that this edition and the purchase of FC Points are "not available in Belgium" — the English version of the same page also adds South Korea, which the French version does not mention.

September 26: two already-paid-for contents become unreachable

Eleven days later, a second cutoff hits, and this one doesn't target just one edition. For the EA Play Pro Edition: "EA Play Pro Edition content will not be available if you redeem the code after September 26, 2026." For the Standard Edition pre-order offer, on both consoles and PC: "pre-order content will not be available if you redeem the code after September 26, 2026."

Between September 15 and 26, then, an eleven-day window opens with a hybrid status: during it, the EA Play Pro Edition code still grants item j. Icon, the Premium pass, the Evolution slot and the Career Mode content, but no more FC Points at all. After the 26th, it grants nothing at all.

It's still worth knowing what "code redemption" actually covers, since EA gives it a very broad definition: you must "log in to Ultimate Team, log in to Clubs, and create a Career Mode save while connected to EA servers." So anyone who has never touched Career Mode has not redeemed their code, no matter how much time they've spent in FUT.

September 24, the last door to a 93+ Icon in FC 26

This one isn't in the legal notices but in the FC 27 editions FAQ, published on 23 July 2026 — and yet it does concern your FC 26 club. The early pre-order period closed on 31 August, and we listed its contents on 24 August. What EA writes next is less well known: "the EA SPORTS FC 27 Ultimate Edition will remain available for pre-order from 31 August 2026 to 24 September 2026", and "pre-orders made during this period will entitle you to 1 Player Pick 93+ ICON for EA SPORTS FC 26".

The later window is thinner than the first — the 85+ international player pick item is gone — but it still hands out a 93+ Icon in FC 26, three weeks before the game's end of life. It's up to you to judge what such a card is worth on a club you'll be abandoning at the end of September.

The FC 27 FC Points terms, on the other hand, are considerably more comfortable: 6,000 Points in three instalments for the Ultimate Edition, up to 10,000 in five for the Ultimate Plus, with the first distribution to be claimed before 1 August or 1 June 2027 depending on the edition, and the code expiring on 26 September 2027. A year's worth of leeway, compared with eleven days of flexibility on the FC 26 side.

What the 3 September wave still hands out

The fourth weekly group pays out the same as the previous three: a non-tradeable 81+ x3 Pack and 10,000 Credits, delivered not in FC 26 but in FC 27. Nothing new on the content front, then — the interest lies in the cumulative total, which EA presents nowhere.

Add up the four weekly groups plus the full group reward, and 60,000 Credits await you in FC 27, that's four times 10,000 plus 20,000. This is our own addition, not a total published by EA, which presents its six lines separately and adds nothing up. On top of that come four 81+ x3 Packs, one 82+ x7 Pack, a PlayStyle Evolution consumable and a tradeable 83+ player pick.

Watch out for one confusing detail: EA's table publishes a release date for each line, never a closing date. The page nowhere states until when the groups for weeks 1 to 3 remain open, nor when Season 10 ends. Deal with them without delay.

When EA's own text contradicts itself

Two inconsistencies, spotted on 1 September 2026, in both French and English. The first is in the legal notices. EA writes there that the FC 26 player pick Icon item from the EA Play Pro Edition "will be available on 19 September 2026 and will be upgraded to the 'Champion' version starting 30 November 2025". Content dated 2026, promoted in 2025: the timeline is impossible. We opened the English-language page to rule out a translation slip — it says exactly the same thing, with the same years.

The second is on the Season 10 page, right above the rewards table. EA announces "packs delivered across three separate dates" in EA SPORTS FC 27, then displays a single date in its rollout column, repeated across all six rows. Here too, the English version carries the same wording, "Packs delivered across three separate dates". We devoted an article to the delivery dates published by EA on August 29; this sentence adds another layer, in the paragraph right before the table that contradicts it.

A note on method: EA updates its pages without touching the timestamp displayed at the top. The Season 10 page is still marked August 13, 2026, even though its table has since changed. If you check these dates again in two weeks, compare the content, not the header date.

September's calendar, in order

If you're holding an unused code, the only genuinely urgent action is there: redeem it before September 15 if you want your FC Points, and in any case before the 26th if you want the rest. An EA Play Pro Edition code redeemed on September 20 leaves you with all the content except 6,000 FC Points, by far the most expensive part of the bundle.

As for everything else, the end of FC 26 is a matter of patience: the September 3 wave doesn't add anything to your current club, it all goes into FC 27, and EA still hasn't set a firm date for that delivery. Finish the groups while they're still open, and don't count on a notification to remind you of the one-month deadline that wipes out unclaimed rewards.
