EA Sports FC 26: Season 10 rewards aren't claimed in FC 26 — they arrive in FC 27 and expire after one month

Season 10 of EA Sports FC 26, released on 13 August 2026 in World Tour under the English name "Pre-Season", has a peculiarity that its announcement doesn't highlight: most of its rewards can't be claimed in FC 26. They are delivered in FC 27, on two fixed dates, 9 October and 16 October 2026 — and they disappear if you don't come and collect them within the following month.

In other words, what you're playing right now in Football Ultimate Team™ doesn't fill up your current club: it feeds a deposit that will be waiting for you in a game you haven't bought yet. EA refers to this mechanism as "carryover rewards", a term it hasn't translated: the Season 10 page is indeed published under /fr-fr/, but its body text has stayed in English. It's this grey area that costs players packs every year.

We've already covered elsewhere the question of what does and doesn't carry over between the two editions ahead of the FUTTIES closing on 21 August; this guide deals only with the timeline. Here is the dashboard of overlapping deadlines: what's closing in FC 26 in the coming days, and what's opening in FC 27 in October.

The Season 10 Pass pays out an 82+ x7 pack, but only once FC 27 has launched

Completing the Standard tier of the Season 10 Pass doesn't unlock anything usable right away. The payoff consists of two items that won't appear until FC 27:

• an untradeable 82+ x7 pack — seven items rated 82 or higher, unable to be sold on the transfer market;
• a Playstyle Evolution consumable named "Quick Step", capped at 83 OVR: it will therefore only apply to a card with an overall rating of 83 or lower.

In the absence of localisation, there is no French label for this consumable: search for "Quick Step" as is in the Playstyles Lab. The official wording regarding the date is "to be delivered by 9 October 2026", meaning by 9 October 2026 at the latest, with no guarantee it will arrive earlier.

All four "Pre-Season Completionist" groups pay out on 16 October

The second block of delayed rewards runs through four weekly groups that the official page calls "Pre-Season Completionist", another term left in English. They fill up in FC 26 over four weeks, but all settle on the same date in FC 27.

• Released in FC 26: 13 August, 20 August, 27 August and 3 September 2026.
• Per completed group: 1 untradeable 81+ x3 pack and 10,000 coins.
• Bonus for completing all four: an additional 20,000 coins and an 83+ "Pick 1 of 3" Player Pick, which is tradeable.
• Delivery: in FC 27, on 16 October 2026.

With all four groups completed, that comes to four 81+ x3 packs, a sellable 83+ player choice, and 60,000 coins. These coins are the notable exception to the balance being reset from one edition to the next: they don't leave your club, they arrive in the new one. Hence the appeal of the third and fourth groups, opening on 27 August and 3 September, well after the FUTTIES have ended.

The clause that makes you lose the packs: same EA account, and one month to claim

This is the point that the official page states in a single sentence and that almost no one passes on. To receive these rewards, two cumulative conditions apply:

1. link to FC 27 in Ultimate Team mode with the same EA account used in FC 26;
2. claim them within a month, or they are lost.

The first condition rules out patched-together setups: secondary accounts, account switches when moving from one platform to another, shared profiles. If the EA account isn't strictly identical, the deposit stays on the old one. Check right now which EA account your club is running under, before ordering FC 27.

The second is a countdown that starts at delivery, not at the game's release: for the Pass pack on October 9 as for the "Completionist" bundles on October 16, you need to have switched to Ultimate Team and claimed them before this window closes. Buying FC 27 in November, or installing it without opening Ultimate Team for six weeks, means losing everything. This is the most common scenario, and it's irreversible.

The "Pre-Season Token Store" triples the cap, from 1,000 to 3,000 tokens

The immediate side of Season 10, meanwhile, is very much playing out in FC 26. EA has opened a pre-season token store — the "Pre-Season Token Store" in the official text, with no published French equivalent — and has raised the cap: players can now accumulate 3,000 tokens versus 1,000 previously. A tripling that changes the spending logic: there's no longer a need to spend tokens as you go to avoid wasting them.

Tokens are earned in Division Rivals, Squad Battles, Champions, Rush, and through SBCs. Among the first offers cited by EA are the TOTS FUTTIES item for Salma Paralluelo and the FUTTIES ICON for Didier Drogba; the first weekly "Completionist"-type event features the FUTTIES ICON for Alessandro Del Piero.

Before thinking about October: August 17, then the wall of August 21

Two closely-spaced deadlines close the FC 26 FUTTIES chapter, a Live Event presented by EA as a four-week operation that started on July 24, 2026 — Team 4, released on August 14, is its final wave.

Monday, August 17, 6:59 PM Paris time: end of "FUTTIES Gauntlet 2." This is the first door to close, and it arrives in two days.

Friday, August 21, 6:59 PM Paris time: everything else. Four groups of FUTTIES Objectives launched on Friday, August 14 at 7:00 PM Paris time end at this exact moment:

• "FUTTIES Daily Knockout Tournament" — 6 challenges, rewarding the FUTTIES Hero Dimitar Berbatov as well as tokens;
• "FUTTIES Bonus Completionist" — 3 challenges, rewarding a 3x 89+ pack;
• "FUTTIES EVO Fun!" — 4 challenges;
• "FUTTIES Token Collector #4" — 4 challenges, 40 tokens on offer, enough to directly feed the pre-season store.

Same deadline for "The Missing Piece," which delivers the series' fifth Evolution Playstyles+ consumable, applicable to a TOTS, ICON, or Hero item. After August 21, these five consumables will no longer be obtainable.

The full schedule, at a glance

The key takeaway: the next two weeks are about filling up an account you won't open until October. Prioritize what's about to expire — on the 17th and then the 21st of August — without neglecting the "Completionist" groups from late August and September 3, whose value doesn't depend on the FUTTIES. And set two reminders in your calendar, around October 9 and 16: having FC 27 won't be enough, you'll need to open Ultimate Team on the right EA account and claim within the month.
