In brief

The Corrupted Horn of Duriel is an essential item in Diablo 4 Season 11, allowing you to unlock its powerful Boon of the Divine. To obtain it, you must summon Duriel via the Altar of Summoning by gathering two Fell Hearts, then win the fight against this Lesser Evil.

In Season 11 of Diablo 4, you have the opportunity to face the famous Lesser Evils, among which Duriel is of course present. Recovering his Godly Gifts will considerably increase your character's power. But for that, you'll also need to get your hands on his Corrupted Horn.

How do you get Duriel's Corrupted Horn?

You have two options to encounter him: either randomly in Sanctuary, or by summoning him via the Summoning Altar; this second method seems much more reliable for obtaining his precious Corrupted Horn!

To summon Duriel, you'll need to collect two Fell Hearts, very rare items found only in Tormented Whispers chests, present throughout the Sanctuary map during Season 11.

The need to use no less than 75 Vile Ash per chest may discourage more than a few. Especially since you shouldn't expect to get a Fell Heart from every chest you open, as their drop rate is notoriously low. Once you've gathered both Fell Hearts, we can move on to summoning at the Altar.

Duriel isn't the most formidable boss, although fighting him requires sharp reflexes; he's no harder than Andariel. The trick is to dodge his attacks as much as possible, or build a character resistant enough to poison. By killing the summoned Duriel, he'll drop the Corrupted Horn.

Note

It seems that only the summoned version guarantees you a Corrupted Horn, which you can now bring back to Hadriel.

Using Duriel's Corrupted Horn

This is the easiest part. Once you have the horn in hand, simply go to the Celestial Forge to see Hadriel, talk to him, and hand over this artifact, unlocking Duriel's Godly Gifts.

Duriel offers us two particularly powerful Godly Gifts: Essence of Pain and Essence of Misery.

Do you think the cost of 75 Vile Ashes per chest is justified for the Corrupted Horn?

Frequently asked questions

How do you summon Duriel in Diablo 4 Season 11?
You must gather two Fell Hearts by opening Tormented Boons of the Mysteries chests across Sanctuary. Each chest costs 75 Vile Ashes, but the drop rate for Fell Hearts is very low. Once you have both Hearts, head to the Altar of Summoning to summon Duriel.
Can Duriel be encountered randomly?
Yes, Duriel can randomly appear in Sanctuary, but this method is unreliable for obtaining the Corrupted Horn. Summoning him via the Altar is far more efficient since it guarantees both his presence and the reward.
How difficult is the fight against Duriel?
Duriel isn't the most fearsome boss, and his difficulty is comparable to Andariel's. He mainly requires sharp reflexes to dodge his attacks, or a build with sufficient poison resistance.
What should you do once you've obtained the Corrupted Horn?
Head to the Celestial Forge to see Hadriel and hand over the Corrupted Horn. This will unlock Duriel's Boon of the Divine, including the Essence of Suffering and the Essence of Misery.
