In brief

Delta Force updates on August 20 without any maintenance, but the content goes live on August 21 with eight events and two different skin draws. Between the Fortune Rush, Ratty, Air Supremacy, and two opposing draw mechanics, there's plenty to grind until September 19.

Team Jade is deploying today, Thursday, August 20, a Delta Force update without downtime. Neither gameplay nor matchmaking is affected: no maintenance to expect, nothing special to do to play tonight.

Two caveats, and they're the most useful right now. If a problem occurs after deployment, the official advice is to restart the game: it's the game itself that finishes the installation. And an outdated client blocks connection until it's updated — if you haven't launched Delta Force in several weeks, expect a download.

The content itself doesn't go live today. Eight events are being added: seven open on Friday, August 21, the eighth is only active over the weekend, from August 22 to 23. Added to that are two skin draws, opening on August 21 and closing on September 19. Ratty, the Fortune Rush, the Layali Grove, and the Tekniq Alloy were already on our August calendars: a quick reminder, then straight to what's new, the two draws and their opposite mechanics.

Operations events: looting pays off, Ratty deals the cards

Fortune Rush Frenzy, from August 21 to 27. Looting any container in a match completes missions and earns Fortune EXP, exchangeable in the Fortune Rush Shop.

The key point is "any container": no set zone, no specific container type to track down, only the amount of looting matters. The profitable run this week is therefore the cautious run, traveling light, looting a lot, and extracting.

Ratty makes hearts flutter, from August 19 to 27. It's been running since yesterday. Ratty appears at Brakkesh, at Zero Dam, and at the Layali Grove; the [HeartHands] action lets you interact with him and receive the Treasure Map for the corresponding zone. The map depends on the sector: all three trips are necessary. And the announcement doesn't mention any other way to get the [HeartHands] action, which has otherwise been distributed since August 19 — check that it's equipped before heading out on a raid.

Total War: two long events, until September 7

Air Supremacy Trial, from August 21 to September 7. It's played in Ace Hunt mode, with two objectives: protect allied VIP vehicles and shoot down high-threat enemy targets. Unlike the other Total War events this week, it requires a specific queue: stacking up sessions in the usual modes won't move it forward at all.

Team Up Together, from August 21 to September 7. In short: invite friends to take on War Challenges. The requirement isn't a game level, it's a teammate.

Five weekly events, including one lasting 48 hours

  • Total Warfare Weekly Supply (August 21 → 27): a few matches are enough to claim an Advanced Weapon EXP Card, an Intermediate Weapon EXP Card and, once only, the Total Warfare EXP Multiplier Card.
  • Expert's Choice (August 21 → 27): missions to complete with the designated weapons, this week the SCAR-H and the AS Val. Rewards: Intermediate Weapon EXP Token, Premium Weapon EXP Token, Armament Voucher.
  • Limited-Time Tekniq Alloy Shop (August 21 → 27): a temporary counter where Tekniq Alloy converts into Quantum Keys, Armament Vouchers and a 7-Day Access Key for Advanced Vault.
  • Final Score (August 21 → 27): cumulative match scores in Total Warfare are exchanged for Quantum Keys and Armament Vouchers.
  • Weekend Merit Boost (August 22 → 23): your first three ranked matches grant Double Merit.

The designated weapons change every week: the SCAR-H and the AS Val succeed the previous pair.

The Weekend Merit Boost is the shortest window of the bunch: forty-eight hours, three matches at the cap. This bonus doesn't reward time spent but the moment chosen. The date to remember: Saturday August 22 and Sunday August 23.

Two draws on the same day, two opposite mechanics

Both draws open and close on the same day, and each contains three weapon skins plus a bundle of cosmetics — yet they don't work the same way. This is the part to read before spending.

Desmoulins Blade: one gauge, a cap at 90 productions

Access via [Store] - [Featured Choice] - [Desmoulins Blade], from August 21 to September 19. Each production grants rewards and advances a progress meter whose milestones unlock skins from the series; at 100% you get the Desmoulins Blade skin. Each production also has a chance to instantly push progress to 100%.

The number to remember: all rewards are guaranteed after 90 productions at the latest. Your maximum cost is known in advance. And if you already own a skin from the series, you can still take part: duplicates are converted into Tekniq Alloy.

Vivid Pulse: a draw without repeats, round by round

Access via [Store] - [Recommendations] - [Vivid Pulse], same dates. The first draw costs 10 Delta Coins or Delta Tickets. The mechanic is a draw without repeats: the prize pool contains no duplicate rewards, and once a round is emptied, the next one unlocks automatically.

The grand prize of a round guarantees one of the Music Festival-themed skins, selected at random, and immediately grants all other rewards from that round not yet claimed. The skins up for grabs: MK4 submachine gun, SG552 assault rifle and an AK-12 assault rifle skin. Added to these are an avatar, business card, spray paint, TurBrick - The Law of Time, and a premium weapon EXP token; on the Desmoulins Blade side, a charm, avatar, business card, spray paint, the same TurBrick, weapon EXP token, and a draw ticket.

What the difference actually means

You're after a specific skin. On the Desmoulins Blade side, the emblematic skin is tied to the 100% mark: it doesn't show up by chance on your third try, barring an instant trigger, but it is guaranteed after a capped number of productions. On the Vivid Pulse side, the lack of duplicates raises your odds with each draw within the same round, but the grand prize skin is drawn at random: if you're set on the MK4 and nothing else, it isn't promised to you.

You already own some skins. The Desmoulins Blade draw converts duplicates into Tekniq Alloy, whereas Vivid Pulse doesn't produce any — and the limited-time Tekniq Alloy Shop is precisely open from August 21 to 27. The two contents echo each other, but the shop closes more than three weeks before the draw: Alloy recovered in September will no longer find that outlet.

You're after an item common to both. The TurBrick - The Law of Time appears on both lists. The entry point is what sets them apart: Team Jade prices the first Vivid Pulse draw at 10 Delta Coins or Delta Tickets, and gives no price for the Desmoulins Blade.

What closes first

  1. Sunday, August 23: the weekend Merit Boost, forty-eight hours and three useful ranked matches.
  2. Thursday, August 27: six contents at once — Frenzy, Ratty, Weekly Supply, Expert's Choice, Tekniq Alloy Shop, and Final Score.
  3. Monday, September 7: the Aerial Supremacy Trial and Teaming Up Together.
  4. Saturday, September 19: both draws.

The announcement gives dates, not times: don't build your week around the last evening of an event.

What to do, in this order

  1. Tonight, Thursday, August 20: launch the game to apply the update, restart it if something goes wrong.
  2. Friday, August 21: open the events tab to read the real mission grids, then tackle the Fortune Run Frenzy.
  3. Saturday, August 22 or Sunday, August 23: three ranked matches played seriously, with doubled Merit. The deadline that can't be made up.
  4. Before August 27: the three treasure maps, the Tekniq Alloy to empty out, the SCAR-H and the AS Val to unlock.
  5. No rush: the two Full-Scale War events until September 7, the draws until the 19th — set your budget before opening the shop, not after.

Which of these two draw systems appeals to you the most?

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to wait for maintenance to play on August 20?
No, none at all. The update rolls out without interrupting gameplay. The server runs normally, there's nothing to wait for.
Why can't I connect after the patch?
Two reasons: either your client is outdated and needs to download the update (relaunch the game), or the installation isn't finished (restart Delta Force). It will finish the job on its own.
Which draw should I choose between Desmoulins' Blade and Vivid Pulse?
Desmoulins' Blade if you want the iconic skin guaranteed within 90 pulls max. Vivid Pulse if you're comfortable with randomness, but without a known cost limit set in advance.
Where do I farm fortune EXP for the Fortune Rush?
Any container in a match, anywhere on the map. You're not limited to a specific zone or type: only the amount of looting counts.
How do I get Ratty and where do I find him?
Ratty appears in Brakkesh, Zero Dam, and Layali Grove. Equip the HeartHands action before your raid, then interact with him to retrieve the Treasure Map for each sector.

Key takeaways

  • No maintenance needed: just relaunch the game if necessary, the client updates itself automatically in the background
  • Seven events open on August 21, the eighth only runs during the August 22-23 weekend with doubled Merit
  • Two parallel draws: Desmoulins' Blade guarantees the skin within 90 pulls max, while Vivid Pulse plays without a pity system and pulls at random
  • Fortune Rush Frenzy rewards every container looted, regardless of where or which one
  • Ratty travels between three zones and requires the HeartHands action to retrieve the Treasure Maps
